With nothing else to do the party head back into Harken Village. Some people are glad to see you, wondering where you've been. Some didn't even know you were gone. Life goes on. You head to Nonnie's place to the common room that has been set aside for your group. Augustin's house was burnt down during the Iron Circle's last night so he sleeps up at Harken Keep with his family.
RL would like to ask around town for a gilded flower worth at least 300sp. He will ask the druids or see one of Vakiels contacts can source it
After having no luck in Harken, RL accompanies Esa back to Albridge. Esa continues her lessons with Shepherd, and RL meets with Leaflock, the half-elf druid of the Grove. He tells you that Grove druids source their gilded flowers for the summon fey spell from Hammerfast or through the merchant Wep Sageleaf. The latter is already in Albridge and taking orders for unusual things.
RL catches up with Wep Sageleaf at the Mallard Inn, as ever accompanied by his two bodyguards, the half-orc and the half-elf. RL tells him what he wants and Wep nods and makes a note on a scroll.
"Aye, I can get that for you from the Seven-Pillared Hall. It will cost me 300sp of course, and my commission is 25 percent, so it's 375sp all up. I'd appreciate the money in advance so there are no delays."
Augustin would like to try and identify and return their bodies to the rightful families. Failing that he can use Ceremony to lay them to rest.
The wight bodies without their armour are just like a sack of bones. Like the looted treasure they do not disappear when brought out of the tower as you were half expecting them to. The wraith of course was not recoverable, it just faded away like smoke.
It would be difficult to locate their families without any identity, and they could have lived decades ago.
Augustin Might stash their bodies at their keep until later (nicely). He will spend some time going through their belongings to find anything identifying. Its a longshot but are any of the coins minted from a certain year/place. He'll start from when the tower first went timey wimey and go from there. Bit of a side project.
From there he will check in with his family, make sure everything is all good. Augustin will direct Fael to do some scouting in the wilds around the ruins where we are supposed to ghost hunt. Just get a vibe check and lay of the land.
Augustin will make himself available to join his peers adventures should they seek his presence.
He will continue to grow the tattoo that started on his hand, with tree roots blossoming across his fingers.
There was some resistance at storing the bodies at the keep, and so Augustin had to settle for the bodies being taken to The House of Faith where Sister Sondal was more than happy to store them in a crypt until Augustin is ready.
The paladin went through the ragged clothes. He found some lockpicks, gum, short bits of wire, pliers, string, and a few nails, as well as a small amount of coins. Going through the coins he noted that each body had one coin with an "X" scratched on one side. He showed the others but only Vakiel recognised its significance.
"Some decades ago it was how the Rascal Network identified each other. It fell out of practice four decades ago thereabouts when the authorities caught on and started paying close attention to - or even arresting - anyone with such a coin in their possession," the aasimar explained.
"Four decades, you say," Augustin eyed Vakiel with a mixture of disbelief and curiosity. "Something your da told you about, maybe?"
Vakiel just smiled in response.
It gave Augustin at least a rough time period and asked some of the older folk. One of the first he asked was, of course, Old Kellar.
"Four rough men, you say? Four decades or more ago? Ye'll need to give me a bit more to go on than that, laddy!" barked the old dwarf, a twinkle in his eye.
Augustin mimicked the accent the men spoke in, described the coins and what was found in their pockets. "I kinda remember one was called Mick, and another Bert."
"Ha, lower Fallcrest accents," said Old Kellar. "Mick and Bert were two of four ruffians who came here from Fallcrest specifically to rob the tower half a century ago. Weren't the first and weren't the last. No one liked the look of them and kept their hand on their money pouches while the four of them were in town. They went into the tower, and never came out, and no one wanted to go look for them. Can't tell you their family names, we never heard them say."
Augustin heads to Albridge with Fael. He gets some strange looks and wide berths from travellers on the road, but gets there without incident. After a night catching up with RL and Esa at the Mallard Inn, Augustin gets persuaded into an evening with Marigold - nothing untoward of course! Just friendship and relaxing conversation.
The next day they head north and Augustin tries his best to communicate what he wants from the dire wolf. He is surprised to know Fael knows the area, it seems dire wolves consider a wide area their hunting territory.
Augustin spends another day at Albridge, catching up with Dar Gremath, Stervun Nilsson the one-eyed carpenter, and pays to have his tattoo extended by Stervun's wife Elza Wood (2sp).
The next morning he is waiting for Fael who returns. Very little to report, but the dire wolf reports decidedly unnatural vibes coming from the old mansion. Enough that Fael chose not to go near it. He did smell death though, there are bodies there, old ones.
Continue to investigate the Primal Spirits mystery. Your main lead seems to be finding someone called Aiwilli who Reithann the elder druid says lives in the ruins of Dal Nystierie.
Help Drith the dragonborn clear out some ruins in exchange for one-use regeneration magic. This would heal those permanent injuries two of the party members are carrying.
In these troubled times bandits are a plague on the roads and the economy. The Nentir Vale might recover more quickly if some of the major bandit gangs can be taken down.
Grimbald is pragmatic, he would like to see his friends healed. His 2nd preference is to help Nentir Vale with lawlessness and take care of the bandits. 3rd preference is the intentions of the Iron circle at the seven pillared hall.

RL would second this list with the idea of being back to enter the time tower again next month if possible or the cellar under Shepards farm
Vakiel doesn’t have any particular preference. Although glad to be out of the Iron Circles grip, he has realised he has no direction anymore and so will continue to follow the group doing good where he can.
Augustin votes for increasing the safety of the Nentir Vale. If the people can focus on rebuilding and training a militia they may be able to look after themselves and open up new training opportunities.
Augustin is open to funding training efforts through the Baron’s keep via the groups spoils of war. He could speak to his uncle about investing their funds into the Nentir vale provided they can access the funds and draw interest or favour based on their contributions. Augustin isn’t really sure what his share of the party spoils is but is happy to give it to his Uncle. I’m particularly (and at a minimum) he would like to hire a lore writer to document the struggles of the last few months, an honest recollection of the events.
Augustin is open to clearing out local quests to strengthen the resources of the people, rather than kicking a hornets nest and bringing more trouble. In saying that, he does want to keep the pressure on the Iron circle and keep disrupting them. As such he votes bandits and shepherds farm. With information gathering ready for their return on the Seven Pillared hall.
Lastly he absentmindedly reflects on the experience that was the Timey-wimey tower. Given Old Kellars description of them being ruffians. He is happy to put them to rest properly. Whilst the graves may be nondescript, anyone who wants to find them, can if they look.
The remains of the time-wight ruffians, Bert, Mick, and the unidentified third ruffian, are buried in Harken Cemetery side by side. It costs Augustin a total of 6sp. Augustin can choose what is inscribed on their headstones. Sister Sondal oversees the funeral rites and Augustin is invited to speak. There is only himself, Sister Sondal, and two gravediggers waiting patiently. The drizzle gently falls from grey skies, and a strong cold breeze comes from the mountains to the north east, helping flags do their thing and disrupting cloaks from doing theirs.
Earlier Old Kellar agrees with Augustin, and says that there used to be such a book.
"The village log, it were called," says Old Kellar, puffing on his pipe at a table at the Keep. "Fell out of favour about 40 years ago, Dwight Stockmer - Jonn's father - weren't much interested in books and learning, saw it as impractical. Jonn never grew up with it so never continued the tradition. Think it's probably in the library or maybe the store. Ain't seen it for decades."
With the help of the domestic staff the old book is found. Books, actually, nearly a dozen of them. Augustin goes through them, reading of disease, famine, bandits, trouble with fey from the forest, the coming of the Gravelstokes - they were shunned at first - how problems were solved. Augustin reads between the lines and sees the world was much different 100 years ago - summer lasted three months instead of one month and there was rain usually only in spring and autumn. Farming was easier and more predictable. There was the occasional blight that devastated a crop, but flooding from too much rain was unheard of. The lengths that farmers go to today to manage their crops in water-soaked earth were not necessary back then.
"Aye, different back then," agreed Old Kellar. "Humans forget, but the longer lived races remember. These primal spirits you're talkin' about need to be awoken to restore the natural laws of the world."
Old Kellar grabs a scroll to take some notes. "Together let's come up with what we shall write in the Harken Village logbook. Let's not miss any more events that future heroes might need to learn from."
Augustin and Old Kellar spend the next couple of days bringing the village logbook up to date.

Party heads out of the tower. It's afternoon.
They turn around to look at the vacant, empty tower with the random shutter blowing in the wind.

Can Augustin go back in and see if its Timey Wimey still. OR see if a message has been left for us somehow, due to.... the timey....wimeyness?
It's not timey-wimey, just bare and deserted, like when you first saw it.

RL hands over the funds with his thanks

There are also other, minor quests that could be attempted:
