Augustin moves to flank the small twigblight, hoping to dispatch it with one blow and move onto the remaining vine blight. The paladin decides to use his great sword for the extra damage and the practice.
First attack on the twig blight: Attack: 15 Damage: 8.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Blights' turn:
The vine blight attacks Augustin: Attack: 22 Damage: 9. If it is a hit, Augustin is grappled and restrained until he makes a DC12 escape check (using STR or DEX).
The needle blight whips his arms and fires needles at Vakiel: Attack: 21 Damage: 7.
Shepherd looks impressed. "Well, that went well. Thank you, I think they might have done me in if I'd been here alone. Previously it was only two or three twig blights."
The party gathers and follows Shepherd into her cottage.
The cottage itself is a wattle and daub structure with a thatched roof. The single entrance is a thin wooden door with a simple iron lock. The interior of the cottage is a rather unremarkable single room, with a stone floor. A small, stone fireplace sits at the north end of the cottage. The only furnishings are a wooden wardrobe, an unmade bed, a small table and chair.
The obvious trap door in the floor is locked with a simple lock.
"I got the lock after all this happened," said Shepherd. "Didn't want anything surprising me in the middle of the night. The lock might not stop whatever is down there, but it would make a big noise coming out."
She kneels and uses a key to unlock the trap door, then swings it open with a squeal of rusty hinges. Looking down the trap door the party see a drop of 10ft to some broken wooden stairs. They look fragile and rotten. Ten feet below the top of the broken stairs is the stone floor of a passageway heading west but it seems to quickly open out into a larger area. It is dark down there.

RL ties a rope to Vakiel and is lowered down to the stone floor, avoiding the rotting, broken steps entirely. As he does so RL can see the wood is being eaten away by some slimy growth.
There is no light source other than what is coming from the trapdoor. RL's darkvision kicks in as he looks west. The room beyond the stairs is oblong in shape, the ceiling is 10ft high and everything is made from crafted stone. Bas relief work depicting skeletons and corpses rising from graves adorn the walls. Not just a wine cellar then. Heavy stone doors lead to the north and the south from this chamber.
The twig blight next to Grimbald is hit by Esa's firebolt and catches fire immediately, thrashing around for a moment before collapsing into charcoal.
Rollo the mastiff wants to attack the blights, but Shepherd holds him back, worried he'll get hurt by the unnatural creatures.
Augustin moves to flank the small twigblight, hoping to dispatch it with one blow and move onto the remaining vine blight. The paladin decides to use his great sword for the extra damage and the practice.
First attack on the twig blight: Attack: 15 Damage: 8.
The twig blight is cut in two by the sweeping greatsword.
Augustin moves to the vine blight and takes his second action, and his great weapon master bonus action attack if he needs it.
Second Attack: 14 Damage: 12.
Bonus action GWM attack: 19 Damage: 8.
Augustin hacks into the vine blight with two mighty blows, but it is still standing.
Augustin strikes at the damaged vine blight. If he kills it he will charge at the needle blight and take any remaining attacks against it:
First Attack with greatsword: 13 Damage: 14
The greatsword shears through the vineblight's body and it collapses, falling apart into its component pieces.
The paladin spins and charges at the needle blight, directing his two remaining attacks on it.
Second Attack: 10 Damage: 14.
GWM Bonus Action Attack: 25 Damage: 8.
The needle blight is badly damaged but not down.
Esa shoots a fire bolt at it.
Attack: 12 Damage: 9.
The fire bolt impacts the needle blight on its chest and staggers, falling apart into burning twigs, branches, and vegetation.
Combat is over.

Actions?
Can Vakiel have used healing hands (as an action) on himself at the end of that last battle as he didn’t get a chance to swing at anything? LOL
RL will ritually cast detect magic and walk around the outside of Sheppard's hut then look down the hole.
Yep :)
RL detects low but pervasive summoning and necromantic magic.
Stronger in any particular direction?
Low, pervasive, and omni directional :)
But appears to be coming from the ground.
RL will tie a rope to something sturdy in Sheppards hut and climb down the 20 feet to the stone floor

Roll for no reason: 8.
RL detects an anomaly in the western wall opposite the steps. He's pretty sure there is a secret door there.
