Vakiel will follow partially using the rope but mostly just jumping down landing superhero style. Standing up he’ll cast Light onto Augustins sword and will look around as well.
Looking around but not going too far from the broken stairs, the party see the outline of a secret door now that RL has pointed it out to them. They note the heavy stone doors to the north and south are both ajar slightly.

Any direction on that detect magic now that we are downstairs?
RL detects necromancy magic coming from the north, but it's not an active effect, more like the residue of a serious necromantic ritual. The summoning magic is also coming from the north, and is still in effect.
The other thing that strikes RL is that the area is very clean, as if it's been swept lately. There's no cobwebs, no dust, no rat poo or rat bones, no evidence of insects.

RL will tell the rest of the party what he has discovered but then say he is interested in the secret door. He will move over and have a look at the door and try to find the mechanism
RL investigates and finds the door swivels with a sturdy push. It is well crafted and still works, although is a little stiff, perhaps from dust or dirt in some of the swivelling parts.
The unlit room beyond contains four stone sarcophagi, unmarked except for a symbol on the lids, 2 each against the north and south walls. Between the sarcophagi are unlit braziers. The floor is patterned and decorated with carvings of thousands of skulls. There are also skull decorations on the walls. Against the west wall is a large statue of a bat-winged creature with a large stomach, and a long, skeletal head with horns. The flat stone surface before the statue is stained with brown. This room is dusty, with old cobwebs in the corners. There are no footprints or tracks in the dust.
Augustin when he stops being impressed by his glowing sword, would like to use divine sense to see what creepy crawlies are hiding in the room.
if he gets a ping on any undead, celestial or fiend he makes his way over there cautiously, not sure why he is drawn to the area, other then it’s a bad feeling and that puts him on edge a lot.

You get no reading. Remember you won't get a reading if what you are detecting for is more than 60ft away, or in total cover, so if there were - hypothetically speaking - undead in the sarcophagi, you would not detect them because they would have (if they were even there, pretty unlikely, right?) total cover.
RL will approach Sheppard to within touching distance and in a whisper ask 'did you know all this was down here when you build your house here?'
Shepherd whispers back:
"I knew there was something here, and always intended to explore it as I had plans of using it as a wine cellar. I would have had to come down by rope, if the stairs weren't broken I definitely would have come down already. But sheep and growing food just takes up so much time I never got around to getting rope and coming down. And not really motivated to do so until I actually got around to growing grapes and started making wine."

RL isnt sure if he believes Shepherd. Insight check? 17
She seems to be on the level. RL remembers Esa telling him Shepherd hasn't been on the farm very long, being a recent arrival in the last couple of years.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Augustin trudges cautiously into the chamber chamber. He keeps his eyes open for anything that may alert someone to their presence (traps). Investigation (?) 13 (give the result -5 if you would like perception)
He mentally checks in with Fael up the top to see what he is doing and if he notices anything unusual.
Augustin is not particularly surprised to see the lids of the sarcophagi start to move as soon as he enters the room.
The party will automatically go first. Whatever is emerging - there are rusty, gauntleted hands or fleshless bony hands inside the sarcophagi moving the lids - has three-quarters cover until the lids are off and they are standing (+5 to AC and Dex saves).
Augustin is just inside the room, everyone else is outside.
Unless anyone offers to scout ahead, Grimbald will get a rope and rappel down.
(From group chat)
Vakiel ties off the rope to the wardrobe. It's solid wood and of good quality, a little out of place in this hovel.
Grimbald shimmies down the rope and joins RL.
Augustin whispers: “Light? I can’t see anything down here!”
Vakiel will follow partially using the rope but mostly just jumping down landing superhero style. Standing up he’ll cast Light onto Augustins sword and will look around as well.
Esa flies down and perches on Augustin's shoulder, looking at the wall art with disdain.
