The Owl will hang around in the hexagonal room as an early warning mechanism. RL will throw his last vial of alchemist fire at the runes (his dex is +2)
The shifter sloshes one portion of alchemists fire on one set of runes, and uses the last of it on the other. It burns and the runes turn into smoke and greeny-grey colour fire. It seems the trap has been disabled. :)
'Hmmmm right.... no... left, definitely left is the first place to start. that floor is very clean, bit of a slope to the grate, but we should be fine. feels like an old dwarf game, 'the floor is lava' to me, '
RL will send the owl exploring down the left passage and he will move up to be behind the columns half way down the tunnel. The owl will return to fly around above the grate if it encounters anything.
The owl flies into the left passage, which turns left then left again until it's doubling back on itself. The owl finds itself in a room with several dry rotten crates are scattered about the room.

The owl dodges away as something green and slimy falls from the ceiling. It hits the clean floor with a splat and lies there. The owl notices other similar green slime on the roof and avoids them as it flies back to the octagonal room.

RL will whisper to the party what the owl has seen. 'Anyone know anything about green and slimy things?'
Grimbald walks up the hall to the octagonal room, the flames from the torch flicker, but are steady, indicating no breeze. The octagonal room has a downward sloping floor, angled towards the rusty grating in the centre. Grimbald notes the stains here and believes them to be blood, but very old, probably decades if not older.
The dwarf is about to turn to the left passage to check out the green slime.
two hit. 22 and 8
11 damage
Grimbald is resistant to poison so only 6 damage.
what do I need to roll for this please?
RL's dex is good enough not to roll.

RL will move slowly and quietly up to Grimbald and whisper to him what the owl is sending back to RL.
RL will ask GRimbald which path we should explore first from the octagonal room?

"maybe this is why the floor is so clean... green slugs, scavengers and cleaners I suspect. Can I borrow torch?"
RL will hand over a torch to Grimbald
Being careful to not be surprised by any ceiling snot, Perception 8 Grimbald will prod the green things with fire.
