Vakiel can’t do much from all the way at the back. He will move up 30ft & having not encountered this strange blob before, will launch a javelin (I think I’ve calculated distances correctly, but let me know if I haven’t).
The oil catches alight from Augustin's Scorching Ray and the cube takes an additional 5 fire damage. Vakiel's javelin, hurled with massive strength, passes almost all the way through it. Already you can see the internal acids starting to corrode and eat away at the wood - cross off one javelin. Likewise the crossbow bolts from Grimbald are now unusable.
The gelatinous cube is leaking fluid from puncture wounds, and is frothing and bubbling where it is on fire. It is bloodied.
Esa moves up and casts Fire Bolt - Attack: 24 Damage: 13. Then she flies back again and perches on Shepherd's shoulder.
Uncomprehending of its own doom, the large cubic ooze moves up to Augustin and Vakiel who are now at the front of the party. It moves slowly (has to take a move action to get within 5ft of the party).
The party makes goomeat of the ooze on their turn. It's cube shape collapses and the corridor is filled with an acidic reek and oil fire smoke. The creatures body occupies a 10ft square area and would count as difficult terrain to get through. You think you could get through it without any damage to your footwear and clothes, although they might suffer some cosmetic damage.

Grimbald will move around it if posible, wondering if they move as packs and looking for other sneaky transparent thingies. Perception 74 . if unable to skirt around it, you'll hear Grimbald say "Ive got this" and attempt to jump it.

RL casts Guidance on everyone jumping over the acidic monster body and this allows everyone to cross easily. You are in the octagonal room, the cube came from ahead (north), there are passages to the left (explored by the owl) and right, and south is the passage you came from.
RL will follow along 10 ft behind Grimbald and if Grimbald goes silently then so will RL

RL will then move back his full movement (30ft) and ask Grimbald to throw the torch when he can or pass it to RL so that RL can do that
RL's owl will keep an eye on the transparent slimy thing from high up near the roof

Grimbald makes the jump, splashing only a little in goo. The goo makes white marks on the leather of the boot but does nothing else.
