this close to town it might be worth destroying most of those eggs too many of these bullywugs will destroy an area
Surely this would provoke the chieftain to attack us again given he has just surrendered. no one has gone into the final room yet right?
Not liking the idea of leaving the eggs, also not liking the idea of chieftain wrath. Maybe we leave and collapse the cavern when we're done here?
we have oil, we could throw it over the water and boil them. Not sure how we would bring down the cavern given we are all tapped out. doesnt have to be done straight away. Do we short rest then do the last room or just walk in with a knife to chieftains throat?
He's not allowing himself to be made helpless, when you go towards him with rope, he croaks a loud warning and holds up the shield. He's showing you where his boundaries are.
Yes, when he sees you are not trying to bind him he will sit when everyone else sits. He turns his nose up at any food you offer though. He looks occasionally at the passageway. He looks mournfully at the bodies of the slain bullywugs in the room, especially the croaker who was wielding the crocodile-skull staff.
Stryke has a look at the staff, it was perhaps used as a focus for the Croaker's magic, but it doesn't appear valuable. The crocodile skull is bound in place by stringy vegetation. There are other things bound to it, seed pods, and some small mummified toads.
The coins seem newly minted. Vakiel has a look at one and grunts. He recognises them as from Sarthel, a city to the south.
There are 170sp, and 250cp, and about 1000 iron bits.
As an idea hits, Vakiel also looks at the spears and notes the spear heads are steel. There's no way the bullywugs would be able to manufacture these, so likely these also were gifts from the Iron Circle. The coins likely are just to make the bullywugs feel important and civilised as there is no way they could spend them.

loot split evenly 5 ways
34
silver
50
copper
200
iron
is the conversions the same but one down, by that I mean 100 iron bits = 1 sp? since there is no iron in the inventory list we could then put iron in copper and silver in gold etc?
Grimbald does attempt to communicate in common, dwarvish, giant and goblin, to see which languages the chieftain understands best at least. If he has any cheek berries left he offers him one, not mouth to mouth this time. DOes Grimbald have any insight as to whether the chieftain is 'bullied' by just one or all of us. he gestures for the chieftain to remove his crown and give to one of the party members.
Vakiel will grab some coins depending what's left after the others.
split them all evenly would be fair

If there's only two left in there could be fine. Though chieftain might take the opportunity to turn on us too
what are our chances of tying him up and having a short rest do you think?
I don't see why not. Definitely think a short rest would be good going in.

could we persuade him to sit with us for a short rest? share food or something like that

Everyone gets the benefit of a
longshort! rest.long or short rest?
can stryke please look at the crocodile staff, since no magic was detected I think it will be pretty safe to pick up

Yep, exactly that. Gold is super rare and platinum is almost legendary. People go their entire lives without seeing a gold piece.

Vakiel will retrieve the javelin he threw earlier - slowly and with a deliberate attempt to not appear threatening.
Vakiel has retrieved his javelin.
The bullywug chieftain does not speak any of the languages Grimbald tries.
The bullywug chieftain does not want to hand over his crown.
