Finn steps forward and puts away his bow. ”It seems we are all lost for the moment. Even the heavens are wrong here. We should be careful.” He stands up and takes down his hood. Standing before you is a tall feline figure with tan fur and a dark brown mane. He wears two thin braids on the left side of his head.
Djoven steps closer to Finn, briefly mistaking him for an Ainuk, then stepping back as the realization sets in that this is yet another alien creature in this world. "Well met, hunter - I did not see you approach!" remarks Djoven in low voice. He spots Manauia's distant gaze and looks in the same direction. "Friend, what do you see?"
Noggs looks a bit confused as everyone else speaks. Then the devilish figure grins wide and shrugs.
"Y'all are remarkably calm considering we're either dead or or somehow teleported to some place none of us know. And this sure as shit ain't the afterlife because there are no scantily clad lads and ladies to feed me delicacies. As for that hum, I thought my armor was malfunctioning. Guess this is something new to ponder as well. And shelter would be good, but I have no idea how to do that out here. Name's Noggs, by the by." He looks around a moment before saying, "You sure this ain't a massive lark y'all are playing on me?"
As Manauia and Djoven focus on something in the trees, the smile drops from Noggs face and he hefts his shield while the gauntlets of his armor start to glow a dim red.
"Course we're bein' calm,"Beshlog replies with a half-smile. "Panicking would just make things harder for us, and I get the feeling that everyone here knows a thing or two about survival."

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
With a few assertive steps, Djoven will approach a sturdy-looking nearby tree with sufficient branches to bear his weight and attempts to climb, seeking altitude from which to spy a place of refuge or shelter against the hunter watching them from the forest darkness. These woods, he might not know, but the hunt - this he understands!
As you all begin to clue into what Manauia is looking at, you all see a slight amount of motion. After that, a humanoid figure rushed out of the brush toward you. the figure appears human in shape, but with grey fur and the face of a wolf. It rushes towards Noggs and attempts to cut into Noggs with its claws, but the claws skid off of his armor.
(OOC: Sorry I haven't had any posts today. My internet was down. For combat, we will go post by post instead of using initiative, because that would go very slowly. When we are in combat, stick to one post in between my posts where the enemies act. This will simulate initiative decently while not going at a snail's pace.)

In the blink of an eye Beshlog's axe is in his hand. He uses his action to cast Armor of Agathys and does his best to position himself in front of his squishier allies.
"Couldn't give us five minutes before trying to eat us?!"Beshlog growls as he walks right up to the creature. "I get the feeling this place is going to suck..."
He uses his Bonus Action to summon the Tentacle of the Deep to strike at the wolf-man.

Caught with a hand already on the tree, Djoven continues his climb, seeking altitude against the new foe! Assuming he can get to a comfortable branch, he will turn and draw his bow for a shot!
(If action is consumed to climb the tree sufficiently, ignore the attack below!)

Finn grabs his bow and runs to cover behind a nearby tree. He takes a deep breath and looses an arrow at the wolf-man. After the attack, he attempts to hide (Cunning Action) himself behind the tree.
Beshlog, your tentacle whips out toward the wolf-man, but it dodges by recoiling back. Djoven, you quickly scale the tree and pull yourself onto one of the branches before taking a shot and hitting the wolf-man in the left shoulder. Finn, you duck behind a tree and take a shot at the wolf-man, and it lodges in its right knee. You then slip back behind the tree and attempt to hide.
Noggs manages to bring the shield up as the beast's claws rake across the metal. He scowls and lets the hammer fall from his grasp, his fist thrumming with energy and aims for the middle of the werewolf's chest. "I know how to scrap, you gutter licker!"
As the furred humanoid approaches from the darkness and attacks the red... Noggs, he'd just said, Manauia takes a few steps back to have some distance from this... beastman, about 20 feet in total. But he makes sure the path between them is clear. He then takes a different pose, with a more hunched back and hands pulled closer to his chest. He says: "Little beastkin, let me show you a true beast", and starts to change.
First comes sharp claws and a snout filled with sharp teeth. Then his clothes turn into feathers, prominently a red crest on the top of his head and otherwise being a mix of yellows, browns, and blacks. And finally, a tail grows behind him. This beast he's turned into seems to be some kind of bipedal mix of a bird of prey and a reptile.
Bonus action wild shape into Deinonychus (from Volo's Guide to Monsters p. 139)
The beast claws the ground a couple times with its right leg, the previously summoned flame still floating above one of its claws, and then charges at the being that has attacked the group. It first claws at the beastman, using the speed from its pounce to try and knock it to the ground. It then continues by biting, and slashing again with its claws.
Pounce: move at least 20 feet towards target and use claw attack, DC 12 Str save or knocked prone. If prone, can bite as bonus action. (though this turn it's already used)
Noggs punches the beast's chest, winding it. Just as it moves to counter-attack, Manauia draws its attention by transforming and then rushing towards the wolf-man. Manauia slashes at the beast's chest and knocks it down. Manauia then tries to bite its face, but the wolf-man squirms out of the way, Manauia biting into its shoulder instead. Manauia then slashes its chest again, cutting into the beast.
The wolf-man gets up and tries to slash back at Manauia, but Manauia manages to dodge back, ears ringing from Noggs' gauntlets. The wolf-man then tries to bite at Manauia's shoulder but gets nothing but a mouthful of air.

Beshlog growls in frustration at the failure to hit the blasted wolf-man, but now that his defenses he goes all-out in an attempt to kill the creature.
He uses his bonus action to cast Hex on the beast, and a wave of lethargy rushes over the wolf-man (it now has disadvantage on Strength checks, useful if someone tries to grapple it).
He twirls his axe, making two slashes in rapid succession in an attempt to fell the creature.

Seeing his newfound allies tear into the creature with a will, Djoven will take his time to look around the dark forest with piercing eyes (darkvision 60ft) for more enemies. He can't be sure, given that this is the spirit realm or an underworld of some sort, but wolf-like creatures rarely hunt alone.
Perception! 6
As his eyes gaze far into the dark, he feels a bit magic pulse out from him. Good. At least the ancestors yet favor me... he thinks, the air rippling to his eyes like leaves in the wind. (As an action, activate Primeval Awareness: expend one ranger spell slot (1 minute per level of spell slot) to sense whether any aberrations, celestials, dragons, elementals, fey, fiends, or undead are present within 1 mile of you (or within up to 6 miles if you are in your favored terrain). This feature doesn’t reveal the creatures’ location or number.)
A'ro immediately begins to conjure the winds around him as a gusts begin to form a magical armor of sorts helping to protect him. He then just begins to float 10 ft up into the air.
Finn, your arrow flies true and sticks into the beast's gut. The wolf-man lets out a howl of pain.
A'ro, as you begin to float in the air, the wolf-man looks up in fear. The best turns tail and retreats back into the brush, clearly very hurt. A trail of blood leads into the wood.
Djoven, as you look into the wood, you cannot see any more wolf-men. However, when you use your primeval awareness, you can sense the presence of undead nearby.
As the werewolf runs off, Noggs turns to the group and says, "The hell is this place? This feels like a fighting zoo." He picks up his hammer again and stows it on his belt harness. He scans the woods again, this time with far more suspicion that confusion.

Manauia, as you look around the woods, you can just barely see two yellow eyes looking directly toward you.
