Before he goes back down to get behind the orcs hes whispers to the others, "Two orcs just inside the entrance in the dark, each with a greataxe in hand, arguing in low grumbling tones."

Gordon will move a little closer, and ready an action to throw a handaxe if the orcs act threatening.

"The Doomvault... Probably full of unicorns and rainbows." -An imaginary quote
There's a moment of silence, the only noise being the whipping of high-altitude wind. Suddenly, the two orcs give a battle cry, and rush out of the cave entrance up toward the mountain, axes in hand and ready to swing... only to stop, confused. Whatever they had been expecting, it hadn't been Gordon, right near the entrance, and Faith staring them down from up the trail.
(( Everyone, please make Initiative rolls. Gordon, you may also make your attack if you like; the orcs HAD clearly been intending malice before the came to a stop. The crew will get a surprise round on the orcs after initiative order is determined. Clearly, with the readied attack and the surprised opponents, this probably will be a quick encounter. Faith is 110 feet from the orcs; Gordon is 20 feet; Locke is also 20 feet, off to the side; and Drex is 20 feet, but behind them. ))
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

(( OOC: Uh... did the forum just eat my last post? @Cwreando, I see you attacked with advantage, so I presume you saw my post saying you were unseen, right? ))
(( Nevermind.... I'll just repost and incorporate Drex's actions as well. ))
The orcs' war cry is cut short as they stare in confusion at the two adventurers ahead of them. They quickly realize that it is an ambush to their ambush, but too late--Gordon's handaxe has already embedded itself into the left orc's shoulder before they can react. Sadly for the poor creatures, their missteps compound as they gape at the axe, too stunned to even cry out, for a couple seconds too long....
Drex moves to attacks the one on his left or the one on the right if coming from Faith's direction.
Silent and deadly, Drex slips up behind the same orc and plunges his blade in deep; the orc dies with a gurgle before he even realizes he's been struck a second time.
Following through, the half-elf tries to use his dagger to finish the second orc. However, the orc spins just in time to deflect some of the blow, turning a near-lethal attack into a nick.
Unusually far from the fray, Faith whispers to his spent ring, his desire for his enemy’s defeat. The ring’s puma head snarls and there comes a rising and red glow from its eyes and the back of its throat.
Quickly, he aims the blast in the right direction, but at this range it might be tricky to find quite the right aim and line.
OOC - To be honest I'm not sure...I don't know if I just assumed that I'd have advantage or saw it posted.
Follow up question then. If a player rolls stealth and is successful, are they considered hidden until they attack even if they don't attack right away? Do they have to do multiple stealth checks? This may be situational in case factors change after their initial roll. In this case perhaps Drex knew the exact route to take to stay hidden?
I would have been more than happy to modify my rolls and stealth check again too though.

(( OOC: No, you're fine. Hiding for more than 1 round will be situational. I'll try to let you know if you need a new Stealth check, or if you have lost (or will lose) your advantage. ))
Faith's blast flies towards the remaining orc, striking him right in the chest just as he turns toward it. The explosion of flame, combined with the force of the blast itself, knocks the wind out of him as he drops to his knees, now seriously injured.
(( Orc is up ))
The orc gasps for breath as he looks around--he's surrounded by adventurers, and his companion is already dead, all within seconds. With an almost sorrowful expression, he coughs, then lays down his greataxe to his side and raises his hands. "Me... sorry," he says in broken Common, before putting his forehead to the ground to bow before the party. "No kill, please."
Seeing the prostrated orc, Locke stepped out from behind his boulder to look down at their foe. He frowned as he searched within himself; they'd clearly bested their opponents, and he felt no malice towards them. So he didn't see a need to end this one. Then again, there were other factors to consider too.
He crossed his arms, but kept his posture ready and relaxed. Turning to the others, he simply asked, "Well... what do you think?"
MOVE: To within melee of the orc. ACTION: Take the Dodge action.
Gordon is fine with not killing the orc. After all, he has surrendered. Gordon looks toward Locke, saying, "He surrendered. To kill him would be dishonorable and wrong."

Drex backs away 15 ft and says, "I will kill only when killing is necessary. If you so much as think about taking a swing at one of us, by Mystra I'll end you then and there. Faith it's up to you now whether the orc goes free or not."
Faith struggles to see what is going on from where he’s stood. He can see the orc is down. No one seems to be striking him. A surrender? Sensible, and it is important to be just. Still…
