(Since B is up in the air 20', I'm going to have Roo attack C. And since C is surrounded, I am good with Roo being able to share a square with a spirit weapon since it is kind of floating in space and Roo is small)
As Roo joins into the fray against brigand C, his excitable attack finishes him off!
Virro moves 5 feet to the southwest and glares at brigand B. He missed the last round with his electricity sparking from his hands, so this time he decides to pull out his whip, since it is tight quarters. He worries about hitting Lulu, but from his position 10 feet away, the whip flies out and cracks, aiming to hit the brigand in the face. He looks over at the flying, spiritual axe, and directs it southward, attacking from the east it swings at the brigand as well.
Movement : southwest 5 feet, to the square above Lulu.
Action : Whip attack on Brigand B : 10 to hit, for 5 points of damage.
Bonus action : Spiritual axe moves to the area to the east of the brigand, floating in the air, and swings at him. 16 to hit, for 9 points of force damage.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Ironmaiden summons lightning into their hand from the internal feedback of power within them and strikes out at the brigand hanging in the air, the lightning lure pulls the brigand 10ft closer to IM where they then drop concentration the levitate spell and the brigand falls on their face at the IronMaiden's feet (not sure how you want to do fall damage there) taking (13) lightning damage from the energy that arcs from the IronMaiden as the brigand lands.
The spirit weapon hits home on the brigand and as he is trying to figure out a way down, blood pooling at his feet, the IronMaiden hits him with lightning and he sizzles.
Corlith also relaxes as the last of their enemies is literally dropped.
"It is a strange alliance. I suppose it is not the strangest choice, allying with fiends when in hell. Some folk will do whatever it takes to survive, no matter the moral and physical consequences", he replies.
"But the real question is, did they find the actual residents?".
"I suppose if popular afterlife Theory holds true, then the brigands and cultists that we laid to rest on the surface are also down here, their sound owned and used by the devils that they made pacts with?" IronMaiden surmises as they fetch Archie's javelin and take a seat for a rest.
"Something is wrong... Even with this core replacing Archie as a source of power. I cannot help not feel like our vitality is diminished, shared over two beings instead of one, we may need to hold ourselves further away during fights..." They mutter more to themselves than any one else.
Virro coils his whip back up and hangs it on his belt at his waist. He walks around the room, looking at the bloodshed and considers. As if he’s debating back and forth in his mind, then he nods to himself, bending down to each brigand and cutting a finger off, putting them in his pouch at his side. He bends down to the devil as well, cutting off an index finger and putting it into the mix. Seeing his job done, he stands and then looks to everyone with concern, examining and looking at gashes, cuts, injuries. “Does anyone need immediate healing? Should we rest here, or press on? What is the sense of the court?”
As Virro is taking his finger prize, he searches the pockets of the bandits, looking for anything interesting, any potential explanations, or treasures.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Reed looks back from where he's been looking through the curtains.
"Oh a lot of them are down here, but a good chunk of them came with us. You've no idea how whiny they are." Reed says in answer to IronMaiden's thoughts on those they've killed. "But they did prove some use against this lot."
He then returns to see what he can see on the other side of the curtain.
Reya heads over and sits next to the IronMaiden, wiping away some of her blood as she tries to catch her breath. "Are you alright? Is Archie?" a worried look crosses her brow.
"Archie was critical for a moment there but now just needs to rest, I will be ok with a short pause" they begin pulling the daggers out if their joints and using tools, fixing the systems therein which were severed and sparking.
"Happy to rest for a while", Corlith says in agreement.
He is a little concerned about the situation with Archie and Ironmaiden, but doesn't really really know what else to do with them, so doesn't mention it and simply nods at the suggestion they stay back in future.
As the group takes a short rest (feel free to roll your hit dice), they pull back the curtain to see what is beyond. In what seems to be the center of the cathedral, surrounded by more curtains, some closed some open, is a an altar that rests on a raised dais. Made of beautifully polished teakwood, it takes the shape of a gauntleted hand clenched into a fist. A large lever stands next to the altar, suggesting that it has some sort of mechanical function.
The curtain that runs the width of the broad hall that is behind the altar is closed, but the curtains on each side of the altar are open and you can see the bodies of what appear to be guards as well as infernal creatures too.
Reed stretches a bit and then stamps his feet a couple of times, loosening up tightening muscles. He then slips quietly across the hall and takes a look behind the closed curtain just to make sure nothing is lurking, waiting to attack once the group is rested.
Iron maiden wracks their brain searching the memories of both themselves and Archie, the gauntlet must mean something, the dead three? The flaming fists? They struggle for a bit.

Dropping at the armor’s feet, dead.
Reed saunters in, collecting what arrows he can salvage from the mess and looks around.
"So what was that all about?" Reed asks. "Bandits and devils working together?"
Moving quietly, he takes a peek behind the curtains to see what was going on back there.

Reed looks for a moment longer then pulls the curtain shut.
"Some real unpleasantness over there," Reed says. "A fist like altar with more curtains and more dead bodies."
"Archie was critical for a moment there but now just needs to rest, I will be ok with a short pause" they begin pulling the daggers out if their joints and using tools, fixing the systems therein which were severed and sparking.

Reed pulls the curtain back as much as he can so that nothing can sneak up unseen while they catch their breath.
Virro walks over to where Reed is, curiousity drawing him to see what is behind the curtain..

Corlith sits down with his back to a pillar or whatever he can find. As he rests, he holds the strange vial he has around his neck.
He looks at the altar in the shape of a clenched fist, and wonders what the lever might be for, finally deciding to approach and take a look
