Reed's arrow pierces right through the hellwasps thorax and the creature is badly hurt.. blood starting to pool below him from the new wound, but he holds on tight to Lulu. As Reed's ghosts surround E, the necrotic damage makes this winged beast bloodied as well.
The two next to Corlith shiver a bit as they feel the iciness of his armor radiate towards them. IronMaiden gets into position to fire off at F, but even at it's state and with it's small cargo, it is able to evade both lightning shots.
The two flanking Corlith now see Reed as the bigger threat and want to get away from the cold, so they fly towards him (AoO for Corlith on the wasps A&B). As they reach the halfling, they flank him and attack with their stinger and talons.
Wasp A stings Reed with 12 piercing damage and 7 fire damage. CON save of 12 or be poisoned and paralyzed for a min (can repeat the throw at the end of each turn if failed) The wasp then attacks with it's sword-like talons, 11 piercing damage.
Wasp B attacks and misses with his stinger, but pierces Reed with his talons for 15 damage.
Wasp C flies to where Wasp F is and dodges - effectively giving wasp F half cover.
The onslaught of stinging and stabbing catches Reed by surprise. The surge of poison into his blood snaps him out of his stupor, and the burst of adrenaline keeps the poison at bay. He then dodges to the side, turning the vicious slash from Wasp B into more of a glancing blow. But despite that, blood pours down from Reed onto the ground below. One more stinger or talon hit and he's done for.
CON Save: (15+1) = 16
Reaction: Uncanny Dodge - reduces Wasp B damage by half.
Virro says “No…” under his breath as he sees them start to attack Reed. He points his hand at them, bracing his shield in his left arm, but the ghostly visage of a skeletal arm again flies out to try and find these hell wasps, it splits in half and one goes after wasp A, and one after wasp B.
Wasp B gets a few blisters from the necrotic damage as it hovers next to Reed from Virro's attack.
Lulu attempts to twist free from Wasp F's grasp but fails. Roo looks from Lulu to Reed, unsure of which wasps to attack, but decides Reed is actively being attacked and fires away at Wasp B as well. This time both blasts from his beak hit the wasp, but just a glancing blow.
Wasp F (carrying Lulu) speeds off to the West from where they came, with D and E following right behind providing half cover for F. With their speed and dashing, they move 120'. As the party looks in that direction, you see a fixture in the "sky" a couple hundred feet past the creatures.
A gigantic sac of wet, papery material floats high above the surface of hell. Angelic figures with feathery wings stick to its surface like flies in amber, their bodies struggling futilely underneath layers of gunk. Iron chains at the bottom of the structure tether it to the hellish landscape.
Wilfred's mouth hangs open as he takes in the sight before them. It takes him a moment, but then he fires off a couple of arrows towards the receding wasps, aiming at D as he doesn't feel quite familiar enough with the bow to try and hit F. He misses both shots.
Reed, the stings from the Hellwasps still fresh in his mind is focused on surviving and is not aware of what's happening to Lulu nor that she's being whisked away to a giant wasp's nest in the sky.
He hunkers down, and quickly dips and dodges out of reach of the two Hellwasps trying to use this poor little halfling as a pin cushion. Once he gets 30' back towards the others he whirls around and let's an arrow fly at Wasp A.
He then reaches out, pushing his magic beyond its bounds, and teleports Lulu from the clutches of the hellwasp to be right behind him.
Action: Cast Vortex Warp using Distant Spell Metamagic to make it work over 180ft (which should be within range seeing as Lulu was 90ft North and 120ft West) Special: Armor of Agathys - approx 1 hour / 20HPs remaining Special: Bastion of Law - 4d8 remaining
IronMaiden having rushed to corlith to help in his flanked position finds him now not flanked at all as Reed takes the wasps attention, but reed proves just as slippery. Instead IM refocuses their attention on the incessant buzzing, there's a pattern, a rhythm to the frequency, if only they could figure it out they could hijack the wasp's attention, and then it slots into place. IronMaiden moves north of Corlith into open ground and lifts a finger in the air, imbuing it with sound, the vibration rattling through the empty suit amplifying the sound. IronMaiden begins buzzing louder than the wasps, more aggressive. They raise their shield in preparation for an onslaught.
Reed is able to avoid some of the attack as the large wasps gang up on him. He is able to get away, but as he shoots his arrow, it goes wide.
Lulu appears behind Corlith and at first she looks bewildered as she is unhurt but now in a completely different location, and as she whirls around she sees what happened and trumpets joyfully into the air!
IronMaiden takes an interesting approach as they send the buzzing pattern back to the creatures, but with a more aggressive intonation. The two wasps (A&B) that were flanking Reed, now turn and mimic the sound IM is making and head straight for them.
The two wasps attempt to sting IM and hit them with their sword talons, but only one attempt of the talons hit and deals 16 piercing damage.
Wasp C, still back where Lulu was before she was grappled, sees that the hollyphant is now behind the tiefling and makes a beeline (dashes) for her. The hellwasp hovers next to Corlith and Lulu.
Virro sees that Lulu has been freed and he smiles, he sees Wasp C heading back toward the hollyphant, likely to attempt a capture again. “Oh no, that won’t do.” He points his hand at Wasp C, casting a spell at it. Dark streamers extend from his hand toward the Hellwasp, surrounding it in a shroud of darkness.
Virro casts blindness/deafness, choosing to make Wasp C blind, DC 15 con save to resist.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Wasp C is suddenly blinded by Virro's shroud of darkness and it spins around angrily.
Not taking any chances, Lulu disengages from the now blinded creature and flies southeast away from the wasp's nest and the creatures, eyes bulging in fear.
Wanting to reduce the number of these creatures, Roo moves towards the most injured one, F, and fires off some more eldritch blasts. One hits and the wasp explodes from the force.
Wasps D and E race back and even with dashing cannot get to the party, but they get close to where Reed is standing. Wilfred was close to Reed and fires off some more arrows at E who appears to be the bloodied one of the pair, but both arrows miss the dexterous two.
(Man, I really wish I had made a map for this - had no idea how complicated it was going to be.)
Reed feels a little reassured by Wilfred's presence but he's still not keen on these giant wasps and what that huge wasps nest might mean for their total number.
He holds himself steady and still, lines up Wasp E carefully and lets an arrow fly. But despite taking his time, the arrow still bounces harmlessly off the creature's carapace.
Bonus Action - Steady Aim
Action - Shortbow - (6, 5 + 9) = 15 to miss
"Can anybody make these things stay still for a bit?" Reed says.
He's thought about the webbing from his cloak, but as yet there doesn't appear to be anywhere to anchor the strands too.
"I'll see what I can do, but you will have to drag those others closer", Corlith calls be to Reed.
With that said he shifts around the wasp that is next to him and positions himself such that it and the two above Ironmaiden are in his sights, and pushes his palm forward. A burst of ice flows forth from his palm engulfing the three wasps.
He then stands his ground hoping the remaining wasps will target him not Lulu.
Action: Cast Rime's Binding Ice covering Wasps A, B & C - DC 17 Con Save or take 7 [cold] damage and be hindered by ice formations for 1 minute, or until it or another creature within reach of it uses an action to break away the ice. A creature hindered by ice has its speed reduced to 0. On a successful save, a creature takes 3 [cold] damage and isn’t hindered by ice. Special: Armor of Agathys - approx 1 hour / 20HPs remaining Special: Bastion of Law - 4d8 remaining
The icy blast engulfs the three wasps, frost forming on their wings as they all drop from the sky. The wasp B shoved from IM and wasp C that was already blinded, succumb to the spell and stay frozen on the barren landscape. Wasp A is able to shake it off.
As wasp A shakes off the binding ice from Corlith's spell and the others drop dead, IM takes a step toward wasp A, still mimicking the buzzing loudly as they go, they take their hand axe and hack at the wasp twice. Swinging wide on the first hit (7) they find more luck refocussing on the second swing (18 to hit, 3 slashing) "thanks for the assistance, please help Reed, I've got this one" they call over to Corlith
Wasps B & C buzz angrily, through the ice you see that B has become bloodied. They take their turn chipping away at the ice to get free.
Wasp A hears IronMaiden buzz and avoids their thrown weapons, but it focuses it's beady eyes on Corlith after the last attack and heads towards him. It attacks with it's stinger and talons, oblivious to the cold emanating from the tiefling.
It's stinger sinks into Corlith, 5 piercing damage and 5 fire damage - but the 20 cold damage that comes back at the hellwasp from the 4th level spell of his armor is enough to end wasp A's life.
As the wasp attacks, it comes against not only Corlith'sicy shield, but also his bastion of law. Even as the latter absorbs most of the damage, the icy armor retaliates and dispatches his attacker. His natural resistance to the fire also comes into play.
And the poison seems no match for him, as he manages to shake off the effects.
Con Save: 15+6=21 (Success) Bastion of Law: Uses 2d8 reducing the damage by 2+5=7

Virro moves closer to Reed, sees Wasps D and E engaging him, he points his hand toward them and a ghostly skeletal hand flies out as before, splitting in half and attacking each of them. A scowling look comes onto his face and his hand shoots out again, an ethereal axe appears beside the Wasp D and it takes a swing at the wasp.
Movement, closer to Reed.
Bonus action : He casts spiritual weapon, swinging at Wasp D. 17 points to hit, for 11 points of force damage.
Action : Casts Chill touch : To wasp D : 9 to hit. To wasp E : 15 to hit, for 6 points of necrotic damage.
