Riding astride his Glory of Morning, Roo charges out the back door, slips between Archie and Reya, then attacks the bleeding guard (D) with his shortsword. Stabbing the man straight through his chain shirt, he falls quickly to his death.
Virro's necrotic hands strike out, missing Guard F, but Guard E feels the negative energy as it surges through his body, making him bloodied.
Seeing video strike out at guard F but missing, the tiny construct still clinging to his satchel produces another warbling mote of force, firing out and punching the dude in the head (19 to hit, 5 force damage) it gyrates and wiggles in celebration of the strike.
While Guard F tries to figure out where the hit came that struck him in the head, Guard E charges at Virro, attempting to retaliate for the damage he took. Using his spear, he jabs wide of Virro and curses under his breath.
Seeing everyone piled inbetween her and the guards, Reya runs around the group and with her longsword, strikes down Guard E with one strike, slicing his neck open. Turning on her heel to face the other guard, she drops her longsword and shortsword and pulls out her crossbow. Obviously not as proficient in this weapon, her bolt goes wild.
Corlith makes his way back to the gallery, and sees it completely empty, except for the body of Amrik slumped in the chair. He takes the opportunity to finally take his shield off his back and equip it.
"Where did they all go?", he mutters as he listens for sign of the others, or any further threats.
Movement: 30ft back into the gallery towards the north Action: Equip shield
As everyone runs up Wilfred will say. "Oh, hey everyone. Can you explain to them it's all Fendrick's fault?" With that, Wilfred takes a step forward and quickly swipes at Guard F with his Glaive... which misses again. "What in the nine hells!" He steps forward again and strikes his straight in the face with the butt of his glaive, dropping his quickly. "It's like a curse, how often I miss with this Glaive. Oh well.... What are you all waiting for, can't leave these bodies lying around in broad daylight! Grab a body and bring them in. Don't forget the leg." Wilfred picks up one of the bodies and starts bringing it back to the house.
Move: Toward Guard F, then back toward the house. Action: Glaive To Hit 12, Damage 7 Bonus: To Hit 21, Damage 5
Reed tosses Slobberchops another treat, pockets a few for later to give to the winged cat, then goes in search of the others. As he spots, Corlith going past, he decides to follow and see what's going on.
"Where is everyone?" Reed asks.
He looks off into the air for a moment.
"No, I didn't mean you. I can plainly see you," Reed says to the air. "But who are the rest of those whiners back there. Guards?"
Reya looks down at the carnage of the five guards and the one that Wilfred is dragging away... then back at the party, "Well, that got out of hand quickly. Is this a common theme for you guys?" She puts away her crossbow, picks up her swords and sheathes them. Then grabs hold of the ankles of one of the guards and starts following Wilfred's lead.
"From the commotion over there, I think they went back outside. Pretty sure Wilfred went out through the window too", Corlith replies to Reed whilst pointing back out the door they came from. "Assuming it was me you were talking to", he adds, looking at the air Reed is focussed on.
"Anyway, we were far from subtle, I expect we alerted the whole house. Fancy taking a peak upstairs with me?", he adds as he makes his way to the bottom of the stairs and looks up.
"WHAT IS THE CURRENT OBJECTIVE" the IronMaiden asks no-one in particular as they realise they had just woken up in the middle of a fight. Their flames are still burning blue, their body language tight and robotic, all of the anxiety and lazy movements of Archie seem to be gone.
Wilfred nods "It's been an interesting few days, let me tell you. But I have to say, if I see someone attacking one of mine, I can't exactly sit idle, now can I. Hup hup!" Wilfred throws the first body through the window he jumped through, then quickly runs back and grabs another. "Quick now, there's probably more guards about."
After the bodies are safely out of sight, Wilfred will say "Oh, right, the chef! I should put him somewhere safe for now. I'll be quick!" Heads into the kitchen.
If anyone follows into the kitchen:
Wilfred will go up to Blar and look down at him for a moment. "Alright, come one." He lifts Blar up and brings him to the pantry. He moves some things around and gets him into the far back corner. He reaches into his bag, pulls out another grapevine hangman's knot and places it into Blar's pocket. "I'm sorry, Eliza. There's more on the list. I'll find out from one of the others." He takes out a dagger and slaps Blar a few times, trying to rouse him. With a sigh, he plunges the dagger into one of the arteries that Virro was talking about the other day. He steps back and watches the pool of blood form under Blar. "Such a waste, but we don't have time to come back." He closes the pantry door and heads back to the others, stopping to turn off the stoves and grabs a couple loaves of fresh bread.
When Wilfred comes back, he offers some fresh baked bread to the others. "Want a piece. It's actually pretty good. Where to now?"
Corlith waits for Reed, and perhaps Slobberchops, to make it half way up the stairs and then starts to follow. He does his best to remain quiet, testing out each step before putting his wait on it to make sure it doesn't have any flex that would indicate it might creak. He also tries to keep to the shadows around the walls of the stairs, trying to copy Reed's movements.
Then he hears behind him the unceremonious dumping of bodies onto the floor and wonders why he is bothering.
Seeing that the dumping of bodies is occurring and no one is really free to answer the IronMaiden, they reiterate point with additional information, "DOES THIS RESIDENCE BELONG TO ANY OF YOU? WE HAVE DEFENDED WELL AGAINST THESE INTRUDERS. MY SOURCE REQUIRES ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE, CURRENT CONDITION IS NOT TENABLE. WHAT IS OUR NEXT OBJECTIVE?" They stand still as a statue as they speak, making no effort to follow the others up the stairs.
While the group finishes dumping the bodies and the IronMaiden begins her inquisition, everyone sees a spear whip down the stairs and embed itself in the wall. This is followed quickly by Reed shouting.
"Ow. That hurt. I didn't do anything to you," Reed calls.
The halfling stumbles back down the stairs to the landing, a trickle of blood seeping out of his tunic on his shoulder. His bow is already in his hands, and he lets an arrow loose back up the stairs at an unseen target.
"So, upstairs isn't empty," Reed says to the group, as he scampers down the rest of the stairs, passing Corlith on the way.
Corlith sees the spear appear in the wall very close to him, and watches Reed as he retreats whilst firing an arrow at one of the guards upstairs. Taking advantage of the fact that he doesn't think they have spotted him, he reaches out and summons a a wave of icy cold that shoots out of his outstretched palm and streaks across the gap between himself and the guard Reed shot at.
He then also retreats down the stairs.
"It seems not, I count two, how many did you spot? Hold on, one left", he replies to Reed.
Action: Cast Ray of Frost at same guard as Reed attacked. To Hit: (17, 3)+7=24, Damage: 6 [cold], and its speed is reduced by 10 feet until the start of Corlith's next turn if it hits. Movement: Back down the stairs to cover
The IronMaiden takes a step forward and moves in the path of any projectiles between the stairs and Roo specifically, then they keep a keen eye out for that particular possibility, (taking the dodge action)
Reya runs up the stairs after Corlith and Reed's report. She makes it to the upstairs hall, but not close enough to strike. Pulling out her crossbow, she fires a bolt at a guard, but again, it goes wild.
Cursing, she shouts out, "There are four guards up here, must be guarding the rooms as they are all in front of doors!"
Virro’s magical hammer disappears after a minute, then he helps Wilfred drag the bodies out of sight, then he walks through with him to the kitchen. He holds his hand to his mouth and watches as he takes the chef into the pantry. He averts his eyes and gives him a moment of privacy. He takes a small chunk of bread from Wilfred as he comes out, quickly popping it in his mouth, “Thankfs!” he manages. As he takes it, he looks closely at his hands, seeing the reddish stains and knowing what has happened to the chef. “Can’t be helped. He had it coming… but I guess we all do, right?” he says to no one in particular.
After Wilfred rushes up stairs, Virro follows. He sees the guards and points at the nearest one, a gong goes off as he points at him. After that happens, he moves back down the stairs so that he’s out of the way, awaiting appearance of the guards at the top of the stairs.
Toll the dead : 4 points of necrotic damage, DC 13 wisdom save to avoid. If there is another guard within 5 feet of that one, a similar bell and action happens to him, using Virro’s reaper abilities.

He turns and gives Corlith a thumbs up and heads up the stairs.
"You can come if you stay quiet," he says to Slobberchops, inviting the cat in case there are more Imps lurking about.
Reed goes up quietly, looking to see if anyone is coming to check on the noise downstairs.

Guard B, now missing his spear, moves over to get next to Reya and attempts to jab her in the chin, but misses.
