"Hmmn. Ok then." Syl points back toward the entrance. "Right. We just seal the mine up, post a 'do not enter' sign, and report back to the High King on a job well done, eh?"

"Thanks uh...Doc. I'm glad to know it's just the mine driving us crazy and not that I'm already there." Dab says, his eyes shifting back to Krumar. "Well, at least they didn't make me as ugly as uh...you."
He listens to Jaylan as he reads what he's found, and then looks back at Doc.
"Welp. Guess that uh...explains it." Dab adds, ignoring Nefire's laughter in the back of the line.
Krumar ignores Dabbert knowing that his "ugly" looks have done him quite well as he's wandered the realm and turns his focus to Jaelyn and the journal "So the miners from yester year found the stone, mined it and went crazy. Seems like Ole Syl isn't as crazy as he seems.....I am with him, seal it and forget about the stone....or and I hate myself for suggesting this, we grab one stone big enough for studying and bring it to the king and be done with this."
"But what about the orc's friends? I thought they were trapped in the mine? Are we just going to leave them down there? And Krumar! I'm surprised at you." Nefire chastises.
“Curious…” Raevyn’s usually neutral expression gave way to one of fascination. Needless to say she was intrigued. Her mind raced with theories while her eyes darted about the area in search of more clues to help her piece together the story of what happened.
Dropping to a knee, the Doctor runs her fingers through her wolf companions fur. She whispers and clicks her tongue, ordering them to stay with Nefire to keep an eye out for threats as Rae prepares to move in to investigates the room ahead.
While the others discuss, Raevyn takes a pinch from her pouch, rubs her gums and dons her mask. Eyes dilated, senses heightened, steps calculated, the doctor presses forward, both palms up with magical assists.

The party, it seems, is seriously contemplating retreating from the mines and calling it a day.At least that option has been spoken and has received no real pushback except for that of the diminutive Nefire. As most look at each other in contemplation of what they’re actually going to do next it is Raevyn who takes action.Donning her mask and looking about, a pallid green aura seems to gather about the eyes of the plague doctor mask…
Raevyn:
Ahead of you, deeper into the mines, you sense them.Just at the edges of your reach there is the foulness of unlife.Cold.Empty.An unyearning hunger, an ache that hurts but knows only that hurt and cannot conceive of anything different.Moving slowly your way, you think, but being on the border of your senses you cannot be sure. Two… Yes, definitely two.At least.
As you each contemplate your next move, and Raevyn stretches her senses, none of you notice the draft. Not at first. It is cold.Icy even. And it grows. It grows until it swirls through the cavern as a bone chilling, howling gust and kicks up a curtain of frost and dust that clouds your vision. For just a moment you hear…. You hear what this mine must have sounded like in it’s heyday. You hear digging and grunting, picks tearing into the walls, carts being shoved here and there. You hear shifting stones and creaking chains echoing ominously from above, hidden within the cavern’s shadow-swathed ceiling. Then the sound disappears.Well, some of them. The sound of shifting, falling rocks remain. The walls tremble and rocks cascade down!
Cave in! is likely the initial thought for many if not all of you… But these rocks seem to be aimed directly at you.
Everyone:Dexterity Saving Throw to avoid the raining rocks and dodge the debris! Also please advise if you are heading south back the way you came and towards the exit or mostly moving north deeper into the mines. And… good luck :)
((Rough positioning guesstimated by myself... Can adjust if needed as we move forward.))
"We uh...didn't come all this way to leave the job unfinished." Dabbert says, leaning on his halberd and watching Doc work while keeping his eyes roving around the room....and between that and his leaning, he isn't ready when the rock comes down on him...
Crit Fail to dodge the falling rocks. (Nat 1 + 2 = 3)
Krumar seeing the rocks begin to fall tries to push Dalbert out of the way not because he enjoys his company but needs to hide behind someone when arrows come sailing.
Seeing the falling rocks, Syl moves to rush for the southern exit, only to bump into Jaylan and stumble back. Hemmed in my allies on all sides he reluctantly takes his lumps as the stones come tumbling down.

Indecision more or less paralyzes the group - Should they stay or should they go? There were thoughts to both ends but no real movement. And when the sky started to fall, dodge as they might, Dabbert, Nefire, Raevyn and Sylrieth cannot avoid the following rocks and each takes the following damage as well as being pinned (effectively graappled) by the rocks and stone.
Debbart: 8 bludgeoning damage taken
Nefire: 7 bludgeoning damage taken
Raevyn: 7 bludgeoning damage taken
Sylrieth: 6 bludgeoning damage taken
You remain trapped until you are freed either through a strength check (DC 12) or through the assistance of another party member using their action to dig you out. ((I'm going to rule the wolf can provide the help action to give Raevyn (or someone else) advantage on their strength check to free themself but cannot spend a turn to automatically free someone due to lack of hands...)) No further rocks seem to be falling and you hear no further grumbling or such from above.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As the rocks fall, Nefire covers her head with her arms instinctively, which helps with the damage, but she still becomes pinned. She lets out an aggravated noise as she realizes this and has to get herself out. She looks around and notices there are several others of the party in the same situation and that lessens the blow at least.
She works at getting herself out of the predicament.
Krumar fails to push Dabbert out of the way and is now standing alone on the side of the pile of rocks nearest the exit. He looks at the exit thinking now would be a good time to leave....He comes to his senses realizing he would be alone running back to a town of orcs...towns and clans that could send word back to his clan that he's still a coward or worse...that he's in town. He decides to start digging his companions out. As he does he sees movement on the other side of the rubble and jumps back scared only to realize Jaylan made it out as well.
Krumar helps Dabbert out of the rubble (Since Dabbert is the only trapped one he mentioned in his post) so Dabbert need not roll to escape, it just uses his turn. Nefire is able to dig herself out of the rubble before anyone can rush to assist her.

Raevyn and her wolf are up! DC 12 Strength Check to get out of rubble yourself. With Advantage if wolf is assisting you.

Regardless of how alert and seemingly prepared one could be, there’s nothing one could do when the Gods have other plans. Despite her good intentions, and enthusiasm for a deep mystery, the doctor lead others, and herself, into a cave in, or was it an ambush? She receives the worst of it. A chunk of stone smashes into the side of Raevyn’s head, shortly followed by the cascade of boulders that crash against her frame, knocking her over and pinning her beneath the rocks. Amongst the dust and debris, the young wolf sniffs out her pooling blood to locate the doctor. They’d use their paws to dig and their snout to push away chunks in attempt to relieve Rae of the rubble.
Strength Check VS DC12: 21 (+2 reduced to +1 due to exhaustion. Adv. applied for wolf.)
(Would she be able to have discerned whether the two undead that pinged her ‘radar’ were near the source of the cave in/thrown rocks?)
Sylrieth and Jaylan are up... Jaylan can either help Syl and he's automatically out or Jaylan can take some other action and allow Syl to make a DC 12 Str save to get out.
Raevyn - There was a slight movement or trembling about the whole room and some rocks from above shook loose and fell. The did seem to all bust aim for you all but not quite like being thrown. There are some rocks elsewhere in the room that fell, just more right above you all.
Next up, Round 2: Krumar, Dabbert and Nefire can act once Syl and Jaylan do...
Krumar finishes pulling the kicking and screaming Dabbert out of the rubble "Now, now...don't be upset you were saved by your better. I couldn't just leave your poor, broken body to be crushed and left here until the ends of time. How would that look in my song...Dabbert the brave, crushed by rocks, never had a chance to to search the cave. The rock hit his head, odd there's nothing inside, but alas he died.....no no that would not do"
"Oh, I'm so old!" Syl exclaims in a wail of agony as he pulls himself up, with Jaylan's help, from under the rocks.
He staggers to his feet, muttering a distracted "Thanks, mate," to Jaylan as he pops his joints and rolls one of his shoulders painfully. Then he looks up and around at the walls and ceiling above him, wincing in anticipation of more boulders.
