Keeping his concentration on the bane spell despite the deep wound from the blight, Rodan keeps his shield up and slashes back with his own longsword in retaliation. He whistles a merry tune as he connects with the wooden monster.

Surprised by the speed of advance of the creatures, Alcazar glances quickly around at the nearby enemies, singling out the one in front of him and at most one other badly wounded one...though his main concern is the one in front him.
Waves of calm erupt from a point not far away, engulfing the two targeted creatures, and possibly himself if unavoidable.
17 HP Affected
You manage to put three of them to sleep, targeting the group of wounded ones burned by the flames.
Keeping his concentration on the bane spell despite the deep wound from the blight, Rodan keeps his shield up and slashes back with his own longsword in retaliation. He whistles a merry tune as he connects with the wooden monster.
Longsword Attack: 15 Damage: 8Slashing
The longsword slashes a deep gush in the Blight's torso of branches and root. It rears up in pain, and as it pull back, a few more tangles of roots snap, causing its whole torso to fold backwards in half. (It's dead, just to be clear)
Three are asleep from Alcazar's spell, so only two are active this turn
The remaining two attack their respective targets, Celeste and Janek.
Blight attacking Celeste: Attack: 22 Damage: 8
Blight attacking Janek: Attack: 19 Damage: 5
(Sorry, no battle map for this one as I'm not at my PC until Wednesday due to the holidays. )
Thulewyn aims at the one of the 2 remaining Blights, in hopes to reduce their numbers a bit further:
Attack: 19 Damage: 7
Thulewyn tries to keep his cover where was hiding as to not be an easy target.
The Blight rears in pain as bits of branches and twigs fall off it onto the ground. It looks quite heavily wounded.
Some of them are only magically asleep from the Waves of Calm.
Of the 6 Blights:
1 is dead
3 are unconscious/asleep, and these are the same three that were scorched by Celeste. Of these 3:
2 of these are heavily injured
1 mildly injured
2 are still fully in the fight, in melee range to Janek and Celeste respectively but while both attacked this round, neither was successful in getting past your parries and armour. (i.e. they rolled poorly)
The druid is at the back of his group (outside of melee, but in easy ranged-attack reach) and his clothes are slightly scorched by he shows no obvious injuries yet.
Janek next, then Celeste, then the evil Druid, then Alcazar, [ next round] then Rodan, then Blights
Janek/Celeste: If you want to move, this may trigger AOO (unless you use disengage or similar)
Janek continues to battle the blight before him. He sweeps each longsword at the creature. (Longsword Attack: 11, Damage: 11) (Longsword Attack: 9, Damage: 4)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Finding herself in melee with an evil shrub in spite of having withdrawn and taking cover, Celeste draws her elven curved blades to prune the agressive plant.
Janek continues to battle the blight before him. He sweeps each longsword at the creature. (Longsword Attack: 11, Damage: 11) (Longsword Attack: 9, Damage: 4)
Janek slashes at the creature. It somehow manages to parry the first slash with a particularly hard bit of wood, putting Janek off-balance and allowing it to dodge away from the second swing. (no hits)
Finding herself in melee with an evil shrub in spite of having withdrawn and taking cover, Celeste draws her elven curved blades to prune the agressive plant.
Attacking the creature, much like an angry gardener would attack a hedge, Celeste manages to cut off twigs and branches from its body. The Blight is left reeling back in pain and oozing tree sap from its wounds - looking as if one more hit might finish it off.

The druid roars in anger at seeing his creatures burned and pruned. He conjures up shockwave but struggles to target the group without risking injuring his creatures. Through re-positioning, he manages to avoid the Blights to target Rodan and Alcazar (uses the spell Thunderwave).
Damage 7 or save for half with CON DC 12. If you fail the save, you are also pushed back 10ft.
Having momentarily turned his back on the druid - a mistake - Rodan is caught off his guard and shoved away by the spell.

Despite is frail appearance, Alcazar shrugs off the thunderous wave, and turns his attention to its instigator. Clutching at the bracelet on his left wrist, he chants in a long forgotten tongue and raises his hands as if grasping a great weight.
As he does so, the ground in front of the druid seethes and a massive earthen hand emerges, reaching for him, clearly seeking to grasp and crush him.
DC 13 STR Save or take 8 damage (half if saved). If failed save, also restrained.
(( If he can safely back away, Alcazar will seek cover ))
The earth rises up from the ground in shape of a giant monstrous claw. The druid is too slow to react, due to Alcazar's distraction, and is now caught in the claws grasp (restrained). You are somewhat surprised by your spell taking this shape, as normally it takes the shape of a humanoid hand - but the magic is just as effective as you had hoped.
(Just to remind everyone: As per the very beginning of the campaign, while Magic works perfectly well in Barovia, some effects look different. That is, spells and effects work as normal and as described in the rules, but optics/narrative may be somewhat altered - as in this example from a Hand to a monstrous claw)
The interruption seems to be enough to delay the druid for the milliseconds necessary for the spell's full effect to be felt.
(( 8 damage, and restrained -> advantage on attacks against the druid; disadvantage on dex save for druid; Alcazar will move back and take advantage on his next roll ))
I had a bit of spare time today, so put together an encounter map to give you a better idea of what the battlefield looks like.
[I think this should all work with the actions people have taken, but if there's some discrepancy it's probably just because I didn't have a chance to track this encounter on a map before now.]
(The red symbols hopefully are self-explanatory. The green bow symbol was just for me to note the character is acting as an archer; not a status effect)
[You had Rodan marked as archer, but he is setup with sword and shield at the moment.]
"Stiffen up, ya old crooner," Rodan mutters to himself as he shakes off the latest blows.
[Bonus Action: Rodan casts healing word on himself and regains 3 hp.]
Then he raises his sword and charges the druid, doing his best to keep the dangerous woodland caster on his heels.
Attack: 15 Damage: 8Slashing.

As he completes the spell, Alcazar sees a flicker of recognition in the Druid's face as he seems to be readying himself to resist the grasp, "A cowardly retreat so soon? What would your master say?"
