If Anita is getting too tired, Rash can probably just scoop her up and carry her (with a Strength score of 16 and a Con score of 16, while carrying barely anything else since he's a Wizard, that probably won't slow him down significantly as he continues to take the Dash action again)

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Anita, supported by the vigor of youth (and perhaps by a healthy dose of fear) continued to run without problems; turning around for a moment before entering the woods, however, elal has time to notice with satisfaction that another goblin and also one of the mice are slowing down.
"Rukuz the Merciless will not forgive you for running away like this!" shouts one of the pursuers.
But in the meantime, in the thick of the woods, the two fugitives might be able to definitively escape their pursuers...
(OOC: OK, does not matter Rash, she rolled too low - and you would not hide alone abandoning her I guess).
Anita keeps running, panting a little, but showing no signs of really slowing down.
The goblins, on the other hand, are no more to be heard... both they and their faithful giant rats must have given up the chase, hoping to find slower prey (or pray more willing to confide in the mercy of Rukuz the Merciless)
When she realizes that you've made it, Anita, catching her breath, reminds you: "What did I tell you? Didn't I tell you that I would get away with it? It's not easy to catch me ... And you, master, are you all right?"
Fortunately, you don't make any more bad encounters and reach Longsaddle without problems. Anita is admired when she sees some horses: "They really breed some beautiful animals here..."
The assistant still struggles to focus on what her mentor wants to buy. The material is soon found and you both make your way back to the dungeon.
"While waiting to define whether it is ethical or not to kill goblins," proposes the ex-Zhentarim "let's make sure that this time we leave the Long Road a little earlier than where they had intercepted us and go to the den taking covered by trees and hills, what do you say?"
Rash smiles. He's a little bit winded, but overall fine.
"Yes... we made it," he says with a chuckle.
He nods as Anita suggests cutting through the woods to avoid more ambushes.
"That would probably be for the best," he says. "But perhaps we should stop and perform the ritual I mentioned to summon a creature to scout for us and give it a bit of a test run... the others aren't expecting us back until noon, after all."
If there is enough time, Rash will go ahead and perform the ritual of find familiar
Roxana greets the halfling. "Thank you, but we will decline. We would like to enter if we may? But perhaps you can answer a question, must we get the yellow flag first before getting the purple flag?"
"Oh, you know about the flags!" Elky replies "So surely you gentlemen have been invited, haven't you? Do you remember the password you will have to tell the yellow flags keeper? Getting the yellow flag before the eventual purple is practically mandatory... Walking the level without a yellow flag it would be problematic to say the least".
Anita watches intently again this time as Rash performs his ritual, promptly stifling the "Wow!" that occasionally escape them.
When the owl finally makes an appearance, the ex-Zhentarim congratulates her mentor: "Very good Rash! You did it! You really are a wizard in all respects! Until today, the 'wizards' I had they were just middle-of-the-notch crooks! You're brilliant!"
"However, most owl species are nocturnal, meaning they hunt at night and sleep during the day..." the brunette with the ponytail observes "If you want to use this owl as a scout, won't it arouse suspicions, going around during the day?"
"It might get a few curious looks, but I doubt it will get much more than that," Rash assures Anita. "And it should mostly be concealed by trees anyway during our return journey. As for the dungeon, it's greatest ability is how quickly it can fly and the fact that it can see clearly in the dark... we already saw how slow the fireballs were, this little guy should be able to fly past them safely and return without danger... and I doubt that magical constructs will think too much about the sleeping habits of a bird flying through their domain, though I won't deny that they might sense its fey nature."
At this point, Rash is ready to return to the cave, sending the owl to scan the immediately surrounding areas along the path and alert him if it catches the slightest trace of goblins.

As they walk, Rash does his best to explain the magic at play.
"Not exactly a fairy... but a similar type of spirit. It's hard to define exactly what a familiar really is, but I can tell you it ain't a real animal. If I had wanted I could have even chosen to call forth a Celestual or Infernal spirit rather than a fey spirit. As for what it can do... it can disappear into a pocket realm when I don't need its services or want to keep it safe, and it can communicate with me telepathically... it probably has some other abilities that I can't remember off the top of my head as well."

Well... Anita continues to chat with Rash about magic, horses, personal past, goblins, ethics and adventures - but this time she always keeps her senses on edge. Evidently, the experience of the chase is not one she intends to repeat any time soon.
However, thanks to the help of the familiar and the detour that you take prematurely this time, you manage to return without further problems to the dungeon, just as a slight (but cold) mist was beginning to rise.
(OOC: But now we are out of sync... we have to wait to see what Roxana and Gaer have done - and the others too, if they also wish to do something - while Rash and Anita were on the road)
Obadiah had been following along at the very back of the line, only briefly taking the next last person's hand when absolutely necessary to navigate the mad dungeon. He finds himself strangely impressed, suspicious even, as the annoying and caustic tiefling presumably figures out what the rhyme was all about on herself. He simply grumbles as Rash decides to leave but says nothing as he has no better plan to offer, feeling lost and useless in this place, the torture of it all even rivaling that of his curse. As Roxana decides to do some exploring while Rash and his zhentarim sycophant is back in Longsaddle, the white-haired warrior grunts and follows her. Hopefully he could at least protect her from some danger, even if it meant acting as a human shield for a magical ball of fire. Hopefully he would get the sense that he contributed in some way, and time was precious. "Problematic? In what way? Just speak plainly." He growls as the halfling gives Roxana another cryptic answer. "Tell us where and how we get a purple flag. Is there a purple flag keeper who accepts the same pasword?"
(So how long is Rash away then approximately? I assume he left the flag with Roxana.)
(OOC: @Oberon: To tell the truth, Rash didn't say he gave the Yellow Kylth's Flag to anyone else before he left… and no one asked him... So, he probably took it with him without a thought. Rash should be gone for a couple of hours or so).
Elky doesn't seem too shaken, neither by Obadiah's words, nor by his not very reassuring appearance - he limits himself to retorting, serenely: "I speak as I have been instructed to speak, dear sir. And do not doubt that I will give you all the help I can. And you too, young lady, will be satisfied with my indications, don't doubt it. Follow me both! I'll take you straight to the keeper. Follow me and don't deviate for any reason, please. Remember that each yellow flag can protect up to eight people who hold hands, as long as at least one of them is holding the flag. And don't tell a wrong password... if at the last moment you have a memory lapse, look at the keeper on his forehead and the word will come back to you for sure. It is just a single word, after all... Only six letters... Oh, and If you are headed to the prison itself, at Level 3, remember to also get a purple flag, before going down. Once in the other alcove, remember the old saying: 'Leave loneliness, later; remember lore, really! And be constant'. Right? Well, let's go".
After that, he leads you to the same door you knocked on earlier and exhorts you: "Knock, please. And remember what I told you! I wish you a pleasant visit". And he disappears.
