Rash can't help but feel a bit of rush of excitement as he meets a fellow half-orc wizard!
"It's just as you say! I am indeed a wizard! My name is Rashugri, but you may call me 'Rash,'" Rash says with a grin. Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Thinking over what she said, Spira realizes how peremptory the last part may have sounded. "I wouldn't expect you to tell us without at least the compensation of a drink, though. Might I offer to buy one for you? And I would like to include you, Obadiah, along with the rest of our companions, if you're willing to lift the cup of peace here." She reaches down and offers her hand to Kitty Purry, if the cat has extended her attentions to those in the corridor. If the cat is amenable, she scritches her behind the ears.

"Pleasure to meet you, Rashugri!" the other half-orc wizard says "I'm Blinn Harpell" he then soon starts pestering Rash with questions again... Though he soon realizes that Rash is far less experienced than he is, Blinn insists on asking his opinion on many different (seemingly unrelated) ideas running through his head:
..."You know, I've heard some sages say that hives have a sort of common mind... a 'hive mind'! If that were true, shouldn't it be possible to develop an enchantment to control such a mind? Think... a single spell to befriend or even control an entire hive... What do you think?"...
..."In your opinion, petrifying a person... then calling a sculptor to change their appearance... then transforming the person back into flesh... would the person keep the new features? Could this be the beginning of a new branch of magic... the aesthetic magic!"...
..."You know, the Glyph of Warding is usually only used in its more brutal and aggressive form, that of a magical trap... In your opinion, it would be a good idea to insert a beneficial spell into a Glyph of Warding instead, then snap it on purpose? Just think… with a little preparation, a spellcaster could keep Glyph of Warding around for every occasion… One to cast Jump, one to cast Blur, one to cast Haste… do you think that would work?"...
"I have no time for being friendly with you wizard, if you do want to help, just answer my question as best as you can and I will be out of here. If you insist you having nothing helpful to tell me I should get going."The white-haired warrior says, turning to face Colin again.
"I see..." sighs Colin "Then no, it's fine, you can go, if you're really in such a hurry... After all, maybe I understand you, I remember that the advice of my divination was to hurry up. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can add to what I have already said to Lady Martha Sharnshield - and which she has transcribed verbatim".
Spira follows Colin and Obadiah out into the corridor. She speaks soothingly to Colin. "I am so sorry for this misunderstanding. I'm afraid we were rather shaken by an unpleasant encounter with an individual in the Shamshield family who seemed to have less interest in Martha's well being than in scoring points in whatever family politics are going on, and even I was upset by it more than I realized or I would have spoken sooner. If I remember correctly, the words Martha told us you spoke were,
"Once you follow the road to Triboar for about 4 miles, look for one of the hills to the west... the one that has a white marble arch that allows access to the underground from the south. You will find in there the means to save the father of your child - but you must act quickly, within a few days... and beware that there may be dangers lurking".
"We were hoping that perhaps some further seeing had come to you since you and Martha last spoke, or that you had only given her a synopsis out of consideration for not tiring her at this stage of her pregnancy, and perhaps had been planning to pass on further details to any who were hired for the job. I apologize again, though: we should have been better prepared for a possible disappointment ... unless perhaps there has come to you something that would help us to find this arch more quickly and have a better chance of succeeding?"

The red-robed middle-aged man turns to the tiefling's soothing words and smiles at her, which highlights his expression lines once again: "Oh, wonderful. I've already tried to make up with a drink, with your fiery friend Obadiah, Ms..." and again he realizes he doesn't know the name of the person he's talking to "What's your name, excuse me?"
(OOC: As usual... In order not to keep everyone in suspense waiting for a name, I suppose Spira will answer him. OisinmacCameron, if you prefer Spira to behave differently, tell me and we'll change things).

"However," Colin raises his hands in an apologetic gesture "about the divination, I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint you also... hoping that at least you'll spare me the threats. Even though I'm of a certain age," he jokes, running a hand through his hair, mostly white, only a few are still of the original brown color "I don't deem myself so rich in experience and knowledge that I find life too boring to live it!"
"Unfortunately," the man explains "I only told Lady Martha Sharnshield the very words that the divination had brought to my mind... I can't really add anything. Indeed, considering that my client had the presence of mind to write them verbatim, now she can repeat them with even greater accuracy than mine! Smart woman, Lady Martha Sharnshield" he comments. "Smart and determined. Probably, she could have made an excellent wizard! But let's at least hope that, in the meantime, thanks to your efforts, she will become at least an excellent mother and wife!"
Kitty Purry, in the meantime, is delighted to finally get someone's attention (and a very welcome scratch behind the ears) - she starts rubbing against Spiira more insistently, purring.

For Roxana:
It seems to you that Colin was partly surprised and partly shocked by the meeting... Although, objectively, it could have been Obadiah's abruptness that shocked him.

As for the present, I'd regret if Mr. Obadiah was not comfortable joining us, but I do stand by my offer of a drink to you and whoever else may wish to accept." She leads any who take her up on the offer over to one of the tables, and resumes speaking to Colin and petting Kitty Purry. "As part of those efforts, I wonder if you would be willing to consider us hiring you to perform an additional divination to see if more precise information could be obtained by a second casting or a different method of divination, whichever you felt would be more productive?"

"Oh, wonderful" Colin follows you for the drink and orders a glass of hot wine "Will this cold ever loosen its grasp?" he mutters, then ponders "Another divination... It would need to be differently worded, because a mere copy of the first cast would simply return the first response. But, well, I might be able to leverage what I have already learned to deepen the search. The point is..."
(OOC: Spira, make a Persuasion check, please)
Meanwhile, Kitty Purry is delighted and suddenly decides to jump on Spira's legs while the tiefling is sitting and there she curls up in a ball of black fur, squinting almost as if she were sleeping and keeping purring and enjoying the treatment.
Spira smiles. "Of course, it would only be right that we offer you compensation for the additional trouble. What might you consider as reasonable, considering that it is a followup request for more information?"

"Yes, compensation..." Colin brings a hand to his chin, thinking "Point is, you see, should I you charge my usual fees, I doubt you could afford my services... Oh, wonderful" he sighs. "Maybe, just for you and Lady Martha Sharnshield, I could do a bet. You see, nothing is more important than knowledge, for wizards like me. Not for nothing the payment I asked from Lady Martha Sharnshield was in Harpells' knowledge. Now... adventurers like you, usually, end up in lost and forgotten places; even more so if they are in search of something that can bring a dead back to life, I guess... We could agree on this: I retire for some time in my chamber and cast this second divination for you... I tell you the result... and you, in exchange, will give to me whatever piece of arcane knowledge you'll find during your quest. What do you think about this?" he smiles "Deal?"
Aidwyn, who was silent during the exchange, trying to read Collin, replies
“That seems fair thank you for the offer but what happens if we don’t find any arcane knowledge to come back to you?”
(Insight at true game log: 15)
"Oh, well, just a bet, as I told..." the red-robed man shrugs "If you don't find any, Ms... Excuse me, it seems I keep forgetting names, today" he smiles. "What was yours?"
(OOC: As usual, assuming name is given, contraddict me if you'd rather not)
"Oh, wonderful, yes, Ms. Aidwyn" he resumes "If you don't find any, I'll not get any. It will prove a losing bet, then. But this must of course hold for you also... If the result of my second divination will seem vague or unclear to you, you'll still have to believe I did my best and agree to bring me the eventual pieces of srcane knowledge you'll find".
"What do you think, then?" he smiles, outstretching his hand for an eventual handshake "Shall we bet?"
For Aidwyn:
As far as you can tell, the man seems inclined to try and help you (maybe out of the good impression he had of Martha?); not to the point of offering a divination for free, but at leadt to the poiny of offering it against not fully guaranted reward. Do you also get the impression that he believes more likely you'll find domething of his interest rather than not.
“I cannot talk about the others but it is a deal for me.” She looks towards the others before sealing it. “Perhaps our wizard companion should be on board on this one “ she says a little bit louder to call for the half-orc attention.

"Ah, the lure of knowledge, you know..." Colin smiles at the scene.
Realizing the others are intent on making the wizard go through with his divination once again, the white-haired warrior decides to wait for the others by the entrance, leaning back against the wall with his powerful arms crossed over his chest, a severe look of restlessness over him. He didn't see much point in what was happening here but neither had he any interest in any arcane knowledge they should come upon during their mission. He was more than skeptical to the wizard though, wanting to retire to his room and then come back and report his results. There was nothing to say he wouldn't simply have a rest and read one of his dusty tomes and then come back after a while and simply tell them exactly what he told their client, but what did he know about arcane magics.

"That certainly seems like a fair wager to me.,", Spira says as she extends her hand to take Colin's in a firm shake. "Please thank your colleague Blinn for me ... I don't know if there's any more proper title to address him by ... for allowing me to be so familiar with his familiar." She chuckles and gives Kitty Purr a final ear scratch before indicating to her that she will regretfully have to rise and proceed about her business.
=============================
OOC: I'm assuming the conversation between Rash and Blinn is taking place too far away in the room for Spira to thank Bliin herself, otherwise she will do so in essentially the same words but changing pronouns to address him directly
Roxana listens to all of this exchange with Colin closely. She looks at Aidwyn and then Spira. "Maybe we should have the whole group discuss this. Before we bargain away all aracane knowledge we might find."
Frankly, she can't imagine they'd go wandering off a mere four hours down the road and find anything worth much at all. Yet, if they're too find a way to bring back a dead man, who knows what else might be with it!
It is then she turns to Colin. "Sir, I admit to little knowledge of magic. But if there's more information to be found from divination, why did you not just find that with your first attempt?"
Spira turns to Roxana. "I apologize. I shouldn't have spoken for the whole group like that ... I do get carried away sometimes, I'm afraid. As far as the divination goes, I did think I remembered something about a second casting yielding more information, or I wouldn't have asked to hire the gentleman to do one. But I admit I am not a trained wizard, so I can't speak with certainty."

(OOC: As usual, assuming name is given, contradict me if you'd rather not)
"Oh, Ms. Roxana, wonderful! I am delighted with your interest in divination!" the red-robed one begins to explain, visibly excited "You see, Ms. Roxana, in the process I've used, casting a divination is akin to asking a question to the Weave - to the magic itself shall we say, to simplify. Imagine, young lady, to be interrogating a kind of practically omniscient oracle - but a bit stupid or a bit lazy. This oracle, given its limitations, for each divination grants you only one question - answering it with information. Now, partly due to the limitations of the caster (who already has to put all his effort in conceiving the question well), partly due to the limitations of the oracle (which does not necessarily return all existing knowledge regarding the question posed - sometimes the answer is reduced to the bare minimum) a single divination only returns a limited amount of information. And repeating the exact same divination (due to the stupidity and laziness of the oracle) simply returns the same result - no new information then".
The man finishes drinking the last drop of hot wine from his glass, then continues: "If the diviner is really interested in trying to get more information than the first divination returned, he must use the knowledge he has already received to devise a new question, in which he asks for more details on certain points - and hope to receive a satisfactory answer. This is the reason why, if you really want it, you can try to get more information by launching chain divinations, rather than being satisfied with the first result - it being understood that, usually, with a well thought-out question, already the first answer, usually, contains enough information to guide you to what you are looking for. And in fact I had not even proposed a second divination to Lady Martha Sharnshield... I am quite convinced that the indications I have obtained the first time should be sufficient. But since Ms. Spira seemed so determined to get more... I have offered you the only way I know of to please you".
Meanwhile, Kitti Purry, after the satisfying experience with Spira, tries to rub against Roxana's legs, looking with languid eyes up, up, towards the girl's face...
"If you want to discuss in private what you think is better to do, I understand you, huh? Feel free to gather and do it..." Colin assures to all those still close to him "I'm still resting here for a few minutes, before resuming my studies elsewhere. If you decide you want my services, come back here and just tell me".

Spira smiles as she continues to scratch Kitty Purry's ears. "Well. I think we all agree that Lady Martha is an exceptional woman, and certainly deserves our best efforts.

=============================

"Oh, wonderful" the middle-aged man looks at yet another new face. "Another collaborator of Lady Martha Sharnshield, just like Mr. Obadiah, Ms. Spira and Ms. Aidwyn, I guess. Colin Dreekan, at your service Ms...?"
