Without losing his good humour, Clas guides our heroes with sure-footedness, deviating south just enough to continue eastward, the direction in which the sun rises and which will therefore probably bring good luck...
And so, after 20', the corridor ends abruptly, in front of a wooden door that opens to the north.
Will Clas dare to try to open the door? Or will someone propose alternative courses of action first?
Clas' voice rings out as the party faces the single door ahead. He gives a hearty chuckle, a playful glint in his hazel eyes. "Well, folks, looks like we've got ourselves a door. And you know what they say—when one door opens, an adventurer goes through to find treasure, traps, or maybe just a really good tavern! Hahahaha!"
With a flourish, Clas steps forward and grips the door handle. "Here goes!" he exclaims, a mischievous grin on his face. With a dramatic pause, he swings the door open, revealing whatever lies beyond.

Never underestimate the power of a finely crafted barrel, my friend! It is both a vessel of strength and a symbol of resilience.
Clas bravely opens the door... but there's no really good tavern hidden behind it! The room is desolately bare, devoid of furniture, no other exits... The only thing inside is a 5-foot-diameter sphere of fire, that sheds light as a torch but, more importantly, that immediately begins to move towards you!
It doesn't seem particularly fast, so if Clas simply decides to run away immediately (telling the others to do the same), you can keep moving... the sphere, even if it were to chase you, shouldn't be able to reach you, unless at some point you'll have to slow down or stop. But if, instead, Clas wants to do something else, he must roll for initiative (and the others too, even if, for the moment, all they see is that Clas has opened the door).
Sadly, the sphere will be slightly quicker than Clas...
Roll all for initiative also.
Ardana, who is really nearby, can see what Clas is trying to do and, if quicker, maybe close the door in his place in time.
The others have only a general idea of what's happening (they saw Clas open the door... and now they see him trying to close as he says 'Fireball') but maybe they want to do something all the same.
Tarysaa hear Clas' jovial commentary and seconds later, the declaration of "Fireball." The situation is awkward as the group is jumbled in a narrow corridor with little room to maneuver easily. Brain whirling, Tarysaa tries to remember how to counter a fireball when one does not have a dispell option.
"Throw something at it! It will trigger the blast at a distance instead of right in your face... I think ?"
If you want to move, remember that you can move through the square of a friend, but that square costs double movement and you can't voluntarily end your movement in an occupied square (unless maybe different sizes come into play... but this is not our case). And those who share a flag, if they go away more than 1 square from their 'partner', leave them flagless (so probably in the mists, at the very least).
So, example 1: if Tarysaa wants to throw something at the sphere, she can move up to Clas' square (she passes 2 occupied squares, that count as 4), throw something (with her action)... but she must then move to an unoccupied space (so in the room, probably, because she would not have enough movement to return to her original position).
While, example 2: if Tarysaa wants to try to close the door, she can move to Clas' square (cost as 4 squares of movement), close the door (free object interaction - since not difficult and does not require effort) then use her action to Dash and return to her square (costs as 3 squares of movement, so by Dashing, she can do it).
The words barely out of her mouth, Tarysaa starts elbowing her way forward as fast as she can and attempts to close the door. Cursing out loud, she then tries to withdraw back to her position. "Sorry... sorry ... sorry! Throwing at a distance was OUTSIDE advice. Doing it in a small room? The blast would have expanded into the entire room and down the full corridor! I am SO sorry." Between the rushing, elbowing, and exposition she bends over with her hands on her knees, panting.
As Clas finishes saying 'Fireball', Tarysaa is flooded with memories of the havoc they explained to her that this spell is capable of causing... especially in confined spaces! With reflexes quickened by fear, the next moment the elf wizard, after elbowing hips and stomping feet, is already there, she leans past the warrior (who still hasn't finished his final laugh) and closes the door.
As Tarysaa laboriously regains her position, she notices something unexpected: no explosion has occurred! The door is now closed, all right — and if the door had withstood the blast, she should have stopped it, preventing a roast of adventurers — but the explosion should have happened anyway… instead, nothing.
And also the speed of the fireball, now that the elf wizard has time to think about it more calmly... it was too slow for it really to be a fireball, a spell that she has never seen cast, but which she knows, anyway, that reaches the target almost instantaneously, with the speed of an arrow...
And also the size... the initial size of a fireball should have been smaller... this burning sphere, instead, was already quite large - 5' in diameter!
No, Clas probably announced 'fireball' to give a quick description of what he was seeing, but he probably wasn't referring to the Fireball spell (he might even ignore that such a spell exists)... That rolling sphere of flame had to be something else.
Well, whatever it was, now it's closed behind the door... and it seems to have got over it: not only are there no explosions, but no thuds, no blows either... It seems that the party is safe again (at least for now ).
(OOC: Gratz! End of 'combat', if of combat we can speak! You can act out of turns)
Clas turns his attention to Tarysaa, gratitude in his eyes. "Tarysaa, you really came through back there! Thanks for having our back. It's great to have you with us."
With a warm smile, Clas shifts his focus to the current predicament. "Now, folks, speaking of fiery situations, anyone have any experience dealing with a lumbering ball of fire?" His tone is half-joking, half-serious. "I was thinking we could try trapping it in a well-crafted barrel," he suggests, a chuckle punctuating his words. "But, uh, I don't have one on me at the moment. Hahahaha!"
He keeps his hand on the door, feeling for any signs of heat. "By the way," Clas adds, his curiosity piqued, "does anyone know what that thing even is? Or are we about to face the world's most enthusiastic campfire? Hahahaha!"

Tarysaa finally catches her breath. "You yelled fireball and that's what I THOUGHT was in there. But, if it was, it would have been smaller and exploded by now. Some kind of animated fire sentinel? An elemental? I really do NOT have much practical experience with any of those things." She frowns, "Perhaps a mystery for another time? Should we back up and try another way? What say the party?"

There is a faint crackle of flames now, beyond the door… but the door itself is neither appreciably hotter, nor burning. It is as if 'the world's most enthusiastic campfire' had stopped its rush towards Clas when the door was closed and was now standing a short distance from it - but not close enough to set the wood on fire.
South and east again! Hahahaha!

Nim shouts as he draws his rapier in nervous anticipation.

"Are you really going to try and stab a fireball?!" Daisy says, pulling Nim by the hand to give the others more room in the hallway. "C'mon!"
