All - The Tiefling man gags and sputters as the rag is shoved into his mouth. He flails about for a bit but manages to pull it free and tosses it aside with a howl of rage. He charges over to Grymar with one arm raised, fist clenched, the other arm outstretched and hand ready to grab a hold of Grymar. The other two miners jump up from their seats and join the fray as Sarel shouts from behind the bar, "Stop it! STOP!"
I've rolled initiative for everyone and the order is as follows:
Gnome Miner (A)
Berkarak
Grymar
Lehmani
Zubien
Dwarf Miner (B)
Tiefling Miner (T)
Kalhala
The Gnome miner with missing teeth snarls and grabs a metal tankard. He clambers up onto the table, knocking dishes of food and glasses of drink onto the floor, and tries to throw the tankard at Grymar's head. It misses and smashes through the window behind him instead. You hear Sarel shout, "GODS DAMMIT, I JUST HAD THOSE REPLACED!"
Berkarak is up! Followed by Grymar, then Lehmani, then Zubien.
Berkarak looks at the barkeep apologetically, but his adrenaline is pumping and he feels 20 years younger. He looks at his hand and mumbles to no one in particular, "Here goes nothing."
Berkarak casts Eldritch blast at the tiefling who started the trouble. 19 to hit, 7 force damage
Berkarak then takes an extra step back to the bottom of the steps, staring meanly at the troublemakers.
Grymar sees the escalation in tension and he laughs hard, a belch escaping him as the Tiefling approaches him. He calmly takes his walking stick and shouts Kombucha! and the stick starts to glow. He swings the stick at the Tiefling trying to knock that sour puss off his face. “How dya like that sonny! How boutcha move over there - beez, show him!” He moves his hands forward and backwards toward the table behind him, a swarm of bees moving around him, hoping to push him back.
Shillelagh attack, non-lethal damage : 14 to hit, for 11 points of bludgeoning non-lethal damage
If this hits, Grymar uses his Gathered Swarm feature : The attack’s target must succeed on a STR saving throw (DC:13) or be moved by the swarm up to 15 ft. horizontally in a direction of your choice. If he fails his save, he is pushed 15 feet to the west, up and over the table. He smiles at him and hopes this moves him through the path of some half full beer mugs, wetting him yet again.
Lehmanihears the commotion and turns to see her companions in a barroom fracas. She sighs with a slight grin and excuses herself from the patrons she's chatting up.
She moves within melee range of the Tiefling Miner (wherever he ended up after Grymar's Gathered Swarm). As she's walking, she casually casts Sanctuary on Grymar... (deja vu) and addresses the miners, "Now, now, gentlemen... You've clearly had a long day at work... Why don't you all take a deep breath, laugh this all off and let me buy you a round before you attempt something you'll regret..."
By the time she reaches the Tiefling Miner's side she has her mace drawn, gripping it like a major league slugger ready to swing for the fences. "...because I guarantee... You will regret it.".
She will ready a mace attack against the first enemy in range that makes an aggressive move against any of her companions.
LOL... Pre-rolled attack: 8 (all bark, no bite)... 6 damage
ROFL Intimidation & Persuasion: Both 9 (actually, make that no bark, no bite)
Berkarak - Your eldritch blast catches the man full in the chest, his booze slowed reflexes too dull to see it coming.
Grymar - The Angry man recovers from Berkarak's attack just in time to catch your walking stick across the face. It connects with a satisfying SMACK. The man holds his face with his hands as he stumbles backward into the table behind him. The bee swarm barrels into the tiefling, lifting him up and onto the table (He rolled a Nat 1!). It shoves him and his gnome friend the length of the table, through the remaining food and drink glasses and off the other side in a heap.
Lehmani - The dwarven miner watches his friends go sailing across the table and sees you coming with mace drawn. He raises his hands and steps back, eyes widening behind his dark circular spectacles. As you near the table, you step into the remains of someone's Shepard's Pie that had been knocked to the floor in the brawl. Your lead foot slides forward, sending you into a full split, complete with the sound of ripping trousers. The dwarf looks at you, then his friends and scurries off to help them up.
Zubien - As you ready yourself to strike, you see the three miners are scrambling to their feet and out the door.
All - The three hooligans make a hasty retreat as the minstrel plays a song on his viol that you recognize as Flight of the Bumblebee. After they depart, most folks nod, raise a glass, or clap a bit for you before returning to their own revelry. Sarel storms over in a huff, "Look at this mess! Dishes, glasses, SHATTERED! Good food, WASTED! MY NEW WINDOW!" She shakes her head and mumbles angrily under her breath as a pair of serving staff begin cleaning the mess. Sarel looks at you all with hands on her hips, "I know they started it and you were just defending yourselves, but dammit, take it outside next time!" She then stomps off in a huff.
Kalhala stands in the midst of everything, his mouth slightly ajar as he tries to understand what is going on. Impressed by the flying tiefling into the gnome on the table and scattering everything, it gets him out of his stupor and he laughs.
Happy to see that the drunks have decided to leave the premises and not knowing what to say to Sarel, he promptly ignores her and starts picking up dishes off the floor.
"So, um, is this a typical evening for you all? Must say, you all definitely keep things interesting. The name is Kalhala Gloryhoof, I just arrived into town. I heard that some orc raiders were pestering this town and that there was reward for some extermination?"
Lehmani sets her jaw to distract from her embarrassment as she pulls herself off the ground, searches for the tear in her britches and wipes the shepherd's pie from her boot. She can hardly bring herself to look at Kalhala as she replies.
"Yes, well... We tend to do our best work outdoors. Bit of an untamed lot we are, truth be told... As for the orcs... I just heard about thet myself."She then looks to her companions. "Friends, hear this. Apparently, this band of orcs is hole up somewhere near Stone Tooth. Seems like we came to the right place at just the right time. What say you? Shall we clear them out and see what's up there?"

Lahmani - Prior to the tussle, the charming Drow man you were speaking to mentioned something about a sort of temple to Gond in the town, "Not quite a temple, but it's the closest thing we've got." He tells you to visit a local blacksmith by the name of Gaelren. When pressed for further details he just smiles a coy smile and shrugs, "You'll see what I mean." He then returns to sipping his mixed drink.
You find a seam in your britches has failed, wouldn't you know it, right in the middle of the seat. Whenever someone opens the door to the inn you feel a little breeze back there.
Grymar finds the laughter contagious, easing the tension in the room. “Hah! Did ya see that feller fly right over the table and on his arse? Bee power man, that’s what I’m saying.” He turns to look at the large Minotaur and joins in picking up the plates and tankards. He sets them gently on the table but can’t quite look at Sarel in the eye. “Uhhh, sorry bout tha. I chipped the glasses and cracked the plates. I know that you hates that. Here kind sir, for your troubles, and for the mess.” He puts 5 g.p. on the table to make amends. He walks back over to the Minotaur.
“Kalhala, is it? My name is Grymar, nice to meetchathere. Those fellows needed their comeuppance, they did. You look like you could throw a punch or two. I’d be in on eliminating the orc raiders. We are helping out good Lehmani here, she be a priestess of Gond (he leans over to the side and adds “The well ventilated Lehmani” *cracking a grin*) and she’s been given a vision - we are helping her see, maybe she can tell you all about it.” Grymar admires the Minotaur, obviously pleased to add some needed muscle to their group. When Lehmani suggests that they travel together to investigate and clear out the invading orcs, Grymar says “Aye, that’s the spirit! I’m up for that.”
Zubien sits, slowly shaking his head, reflecting on how poorly he was in a simple hand-to-hand fight. While he looks at his new longsword, having been raised to Kensei, he had not wanted to seriously harm the miners. He then stands and goes to Sarel, and hands her 10 gp, "To help defray the cost of that little scuffle."
Berkarak watches the troublemakers run off and releases a relieved sigh. Grinning at his own hands, to no one in particular, he mutters, "Still got it."
He half-heartedly joins the clean-up for a dish or two then retakes his seat. When the group decides to join the minotaur in hunting down the orcs, he stands and offers a hand to the minotaur. "I am Berkarak the Librarian," here he chuckles to himself of the little joke he's made, adjusting the round spectacles on his face, "but you can call me Berk. Let's join forces to oust these beasts."
"I did!" Kalhala exclaims when Grymar references the one flying over the table, "That was right entertainment that was! Bees... who would have thought? I just hate it when they sting me in the rear, I swear, that's where they always sting me!"
Settling down a bit and taking in the group he smiles, "Grymar? Nice to meet you as well. And so that is Lehmani, you say she's a priestess? whoa." Kalhala looks genuinely impressed and his ears lay back as though they were blown over as he looks over to her.
Facing Berk, "Librarian?? Can't say I've ever seen a librarian shoot blasts like that towards anyone. That was impressive." His smile widens to a grin, "Yes! These orcs won't know what hit them."
Lehmani tries to look back at her split pants, twisting one way and then the other to get a find a good angle to cast her Mending cantrip. "We are,"She says as she casts the spell to repair her pants, "Unquestionably a force to be reckoned with."
She then looks up at Kalhala and smiles. "Even moreso with a such a mighty companion at our side. What say we get a good night's rest and venture out in the morning, eh?"

On their walk to their rooms, Berk thanks Lehmani for the meal and bores her for a few minutes about a not-well-written book he once read about a seamstress and her magic cat.
Grymar - Sarel stomps away, she waves a hand dismissively behind her as she goes and leaves the coin sitting on the table. One of the serving gals gives you a half smile and says, "I'll make sure she gets this sir. She'll come around. Thank you." She puts the coin in a pocket and continues cleaning up the mess.
Zubien - After spending a few minutes in a backroom out of sight, Sarel returns to the taproom and heads behind the bar. You find her there serving customers as before and notice the frown she wears when she sees you, "Yes?" She then sees the coin and hears your words, "Oh. Well... That's mighty kind of you sir. Thank you very much." She seems genuinely cheered by this and a few nearby patrons raise a glass to you as you pass.
All - You spend the rest of the evening however you wish. If you'd like to stay at the Griffon's Nest, a room is 5sp for a night and it is the only inn in town. The Guard doesn't allow anyone to sleep outdoors in town, but you are free to sleep outside the town if you'd like. It is Autumn though and the temps dip close to and sometimes below freezing at night. You may continue to describe your interactions in the tavern if you'd like, otherwise if you want to describe what you do prior to bedtime that is fine too. Come morning I assume you all are meeting up again at the Griffon's Nest to plan your next course of action.
Berkarak pays 5sp for a room. Before sleep, he reads from one of the books he carries, muttering to himself a variety of seemingly unrelated phrases. He drifts away to sleep clutching both the simple gold ring and his arcane crystal, both of which hang from the same chain he wears around his neck.
Lehmani pays for the meals, as promised, and secures her own room. Once there, she spends the rest of the evening in prayerful meditation, reflecting on the journey ahead and all the blood yet to spill before she completes her holy mission.
