After resting, Thayon wakes from a dream, "I was greeted by a messenger of Mystra who revealed that a Greater Death Dragon was born from the soul of the Red Dragon and cleaves to The Black Dragon Lord in her lair."
When you arrive at the Red Orc Encampment, they have a ceremonial circle and usher you into talks with the Cyclops Monophemus and the Fire Giant Pyrophant.
Monophemus speaks from a huge bolder of obsidian, carved into it a throne or chair and guarded by a Fire Giant. "Oh destroyers of good and evil, we recognize your strength and beseech you listen to our warning. The Sleeper stirs, even now. Tiamat's curse brought forth her children and with it a spell of slumber on the Typhoon Stampede, the Eater of Worlds, The Mindless Destroyer. This world has never seen the likes of this kind and if you stay this path, you ensure reckoning. We vow to never cross into the Darkwoods and to remain outside of the Human Lands for this generation and the next, but we do not condone challenging the Sleeper, for the balance of Tiamat's Curse has granted the prosperity that which you are blinded by, the so called peace is merely an illusion and good and evil must be balanced else consequences will be dire."
"We will take your warning into consideration and decide what must be done next... perhaps with the deaths of two dragon lords, the other three will be willing to bargain," he says. "Thank you for your wisdom."
With another dragon lord dead and hostile tribe neutralized, Akkron is ready to destroy another Greater Death Dragon before it has the chance to cause catastrophic civilian casualties.
He does stop to chat with the Defenders quickly, though.
"If what the leaders of the Red Orcs said was true, then perhaps it would be wise for us to try to negotiate with the remaining Dragon Lords rather than destroy them outright. Admittedly, I have my doubts that the Black Dragon Lord can be bound by any oath or treaty, given its chaotic nature, but the Blue Dragon Lord and the Green Dragon Lord may listen to reason and be willing to make a treaty out of self-interest."
Akkron steps forward to make certain that the beast is really dead... just in case.
"Here lies the strongest of the Dragon Lords," he says triumphantly. "If the White Dragon Lord's death was anything to go by, then there will soon be retaliation for its defeat... but I have faith that the people of this land are both strong and courageous. So tonight we can celebrate our victory! Soon all of the Dragon Lords shall fall, and this land will know peace once again!"
(I am assuming that after the first GDD attack, preparations have been made in the surrounding cities to defend against such a monster as much as possible)
At this point, Akkron is ready to rest, then march to meet the Gigagay Tribe and offer the champions the option to retreat, or to fight him in ceremonial combat as the champion of the Washiko tribe did.

After several days travel and several negotiations with local Orc tribes and other Monsters and Champions, you come to the realm of the Green Dragon Lord. Your followers prepare a hero's feast, enough for everyone to be guarded against frightened.
The Green Dragon Lord Osllech, Descendant of Tiamat's Spawn, Guardian of the Wildlands, Poison Punisher, Sister of the Scales, Patron to the Litgo Tribe

Osllech's booming voice beckons you, deep from inside her Lair. "Enter Mortals. For my compassion of nature, I will hear your pleas. There are many things I have to exchange for an agreeable alliance. My Knowledge of the Ancients and other Secrets may be yours."
Akkron steps into the Green Dragon Lord's lair first, as he knows that he is likely the least vulnerable if the dragon decides to attack (especially with a bonus 5 hit points from Heroes' Feast).
"Greetings, great Dragon Lord Osllech," he says as he comes face to face with the Green Dragon Lord, bowing slightly to show his respect. "I am sure that you have heard of me; I am Lord Akkron, and I have come before you in the hopes of coming to a mutually beneficial agreement. I know that my actions up until now may not have endeared me to you very much, but I did what I felt was necessary to protect the world from the unpredictable and violent nature of the White Dragon Lord and the Red Dragon Lord. I hope that you understand the position I was in."

"Your position matters not much as the blink of an eye is a millenia. Kill me, save me, nature inherits this world in the end, be it one hundred years or ten thousand. My dragonsoul may transform into a mountain, a sea, or the great land. Kill me and I will become nature itself. Spare me so my dragonsoul may guard against Rovagug's Spawn."
Osllech sprawls and stretches' like a cat looking for a comfortable position. With wings spread, full length, and a fearsome silent roar (maybe a yawn), she curls back up and sits back down.
"I recall that I have met your kind before. I knew of a Viktra Mordenheim. She managed to capture a human soul and tether it back to the flesh. Something akin to the unbreakable dragonsoul, I imagine."
Mischievous (20)
"Oh and answers, I have many. I can't imagine how it is to feel so lost in the world. To be so far from your time, made into a puppet for an uncaring god. Wait, not a puppet, a wager... the stakes are high for a multiverse deity that plucked you like plucking a petal from a dying flower. And your precious memories, they are not lost, they are just buried by time, accessible with a wish and maybe a prayer... to the right god."
"It matters little to me if you fight me or you bind me with words and treatises. Let's hear the terms. I'm dying to see what lasts longer: dragonsoul or humansoul."
Akkron is a bit taken aback by how much the dragon seems to know about him... more than he knows about himself, even. But he knows well that such discussion is better suited for another time.
"I see... perhaps we will need to speak more in the future. It seems you know a lot about me," he says. "Human soul, dragon soul... it would seem to me that all souls are by their nature eternal. It is only the body that withers and dies. But, alas, now is not the time for such discussion. All I request of you is to guarantee the safety of the innocent men and women of this land; that you and your followers will bring no harm to them. If a final battle against this Spawn of Rovagug comes, I would wish to have you at our side to fight this abomination and protect the world from the stirring darkness, and to share any knowledge you have that will help prevent the world being plunged into chaos. I see that you are one worthy of respect and honor, and I have no wish to force you into a one-sided bargain under the threat of violence. I have laid out what I wish of you. What, in turn, would entice you to willingly ally yourself with us?"

The ancient queen dragon licks her lips and smiles (the way dragons do)
"I see your life like an open tome. After our alliance you have nothing but success in nearly all your endeavors. You retire a hero and earn a title and land. You marry well and as your life stretches out beyond your loved ones, a new persona gives you another chance to renew your life in the next generation. As your own decendant, you are now prince and your position is increased significantly when you marry. This time, your offspring is next in line to the throne."
"What would you do? Inherit the throne fifty years from now? Would you give it to a child or take it for yourself?"
"I can guarantee this version of the future if you give me three followers so that I can train my legacy as well."
"So it is a legacy and your own followers that you desire," the wizard says. "You are a wise and noble being indeed... so long as no harm shall come to those who serve you, I would be more than willing to grant what you desire, great dragon queen. Perhaps... if you wish... you could come back with us to civilization that all may see your splendor and join you of their own accord."
Akkron bows to the dragon, feeling a great sense of respect for her. She will make a great ally not just throughout his mission, but perhaps for many lifetimes to come.

The ancient dragon explains that although the daughters of Tiamat are at opposition, the fabric of their souls are aligned. That the death dragons enact the soul's will, as a collective, they will only punish a threat to the dragon legacy. Now that a peace has been bartered, she will keep them at bay.
Her payment is three followers, preferably arcane spell casters, and she has her eye on the young Reggie, the Eldritch Knight.
At this point, we can change from day to day time tracking to one scene per year or one significant scene between years.
* Good bye to Reggie or barter for his swap
* Addressing the council that the Dragon Lord's and orcs are no longer a threat
* Courting and Dowry, titles and land, becoming a noble
* The wedding, planning for off-spring, the immortal persona change, your funeral
It hurts Akkron a bit to send Reggie to join the dragon... but he understands, and he can see a great future ahead for the young knight.
"My friend," he tells Reggie before they part ways, placing a hand on his shoulder and looking into his eyes. "You will forever hold a place in my soul. You were my first brother in arms, and just because you have a new employer does not mean that I will not be here for you if you need me. I see that one day you will be a legendary champion, and I will be here to watch it happen. Fare thee well, my friend."
Saying farewell to Reggie and the other two who either choose or are chosen to join the dragon, Akkron is ready to address the council about the treaty with the Dragon Lords. After that, he is ready to begin courting, dowry, titles, etc. But there is one thing he would like to do before marrying into the royal family... he would like to get his hands on a spell spell scroll of alter self and one of seeming so that his touch won't immediately give away his... unusual... nature to his bride and he won't need to re-cast disguise self on an hourly basis. Though the marriage is presumably purely political (and he is willing to acknowledge that reality to the bride, though he will still do his best to make her happy however he can), he's not foolish enough to believe that there will be no physical contact at all.
(I'm ready to move on, or to wrap up; it sounds like Akkron has successfully endeared himself to pretty much everyone and averted the end of the world; all that is left is to marry into the royal family and eventually ascend to rulership... oh yes, and to pay the healer woman he met at the beginning of the game that gold piece he owes her).

Don't forget to pay back the druid/witch from scene 24
Of course... Lord Akkron never leaves a debt unpaid! Presumably she's heard about his deeds by now and may be a little bit less horrified if she sees him again.

This was a great campaign. I really don't have too much left in my notes, especially since you took the "marriage and descendant" route.
We could RP courting the different princesses, and negotiating with lords for dowries. RP your legacy and children, enviably staging your own death and coming back as a descendant.
All of that would lead to becoming the next in line for the throne, you become king, Boccob wins the wager and you are granted demi-god status (if you choose), opening Epic level feats each level above 20th.
And if you live long enough, and when the dragon soul shield wanes, a Tarrasque is unleashed to destroy the kingdom, which you can muster a party to fight, potentially a fleet of Gem Dragons and Undead under your control. It would be a glorious battle, that you might win.
Lord Akkron is such a fun character. I think he and the princesses are likely aware that a marriage is entirely political; after all, even his illusionary form is an old man. But he might be able to clone himself in order to have a young and healthy body for a time before he inevitably starts to rot/mummify again (I kind of assume that Boccob put the spirit of the Paragon Lord Akkron into some random skeleton buried in the desert, resulting in his weird 'undead but not really' state).
And yes, a few Epic level feats then having a massive all-out war between an army of Gem Dragons + undead and the Tarrasque sounds incredibly cool.

Ok. I'll write something up tomorrow, that spans the many years between negotiating peace with the Dragon Lords and becoming king. I'm thinking 2-3 years of courting, 2-3 years of child-rearing. Your son marries the princess and their child is destined to inherit the throne. Let's say 30 years plus 30, so 65-70 years later.
I'll put a cap on the number of True Polymorph creatures and Command Undead, so you can have ten "entities". This includes other followers who may not have been born yet, but still a few elves or other races that were followers may still survive. Still with a level cap of 14th level.
And we can skip your ascension into demi-god status, I'm sure it would be an epic ritual gifted to you by Boccob as reward for your service. The ritual grants you a new "clone" body and The Boon of Immortality.
While you are at it, you can take four ASI/Feat, as well. Epic stat limit is 30.
Here is a summary of what's needed, and I'll write a single catch up post tomorrow:
1. 70 years later you become king 2. You ascend into demi-god status, renewing your body to the state of a newborn clone-body and gaining The Boon of Immortality, due to ascension 3. Along the way, you gain 30,000 XP every few years, granting four total Epic Boons of your choice 4. Additionally you gain four Ability Score Increases 5. True Polymorph a huge tree into a Treant or a boulder into a Dragon 6. Track down some undead you can command 7. Once you have everything you want, we will set the scene for the final combat.

"I can guarantee this version of the future if you give me three followers so that I can train my legacy as well."
Akkron nods...

Okay, changing to year-by-year would work.

That sounds pretty awesome...

And you can choose four Epic Boons from the DMG (https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/dmg/other-rewards#EpicBoons)
While you are at it, you can take four ASI/Feat, as well. Epic stat limit is 30.
Here is a summary of what's needed, and I'll write a single catch up post tomorrow:
1. 70 years later you become king
2. You ascend into demi-god status, renewing your body to the state of a newborn clone-body and gaining The Boon of Immortality, due to ascension
3. Along the way, you gain 30,000 XP every few years, granting four total Epic Boons of your choice
4. Additionally you gain four Ability Score Increases
5. True Polymorph a huge tree into a Treant or a boulder into a Dragon
6. Track down some undead you can command
7. Once you have everything you want, we will set the scene for the final combat.
