The door swings in. A slight breeze flows past the party as they peer inside. This is a large spacious room, 75 ft. long x 55 ft. wide. and is in an octaginal/diamond shape, and is faintly illuminated by globes fixed to the wall every 20 ft. that radiate a blue-green light. The walls of this room are adorned with stone carvings of men, undead, and creatures you are unfamiliar with. They are a humanoid reptilian race that you assume are Troglydites, but having never seen one, you can only guess. The images appear to be in battle with one another. On the west wall, in the middle of the images stands another image. It is of a man that towers over everyone else. He is dressed in a hooded robe with his arms extending out along the wall. His face holds an expression of either rage or triumph, you can not tell, as he looks towards the middle of the room. Your attention is drawn to the middle of the room as you see a 15 ft. long, 10 ft. wide dais that rises about 2 ft. off the floor. It is rectangular and appears to be made of black marble. On top of the dais sits a sarcophagus. It appears to be made of white marble adorned with gold and copper-colored etchings. It is 12 ft. long and 8 ft. wide. At each corner of the dais sits a statue. It is a crouching humanoid figure, standing about 5 ft. tall, with small bat-like wings protruding from their backs and horns rising from their heads. An unsettling feeling grips you as you see their reptilian faces, large fangs bared, reflecting the blue-green light of the room. At the southern tip of this room is another door.
Eyeing the bat creatures uncertainly, Spike moves towards the southern door. “I don’t see any tracks. I suppose our friend could be stored in that sarcophagus, but I hope not.”

"A spotless tomb with disturbing imagery and statues. Yes, I also doubt the man we are after is in the sarcophagus. Essendrum can you scan this room for magic?" says Kiza as she moves in just enough the let the others through the door.
Spike & Enoch moves to the next door. (I will need each of you to tell me what is your path to the next door?) Essendrum casts Detect Magic.
The globes glow with magical energies and the etchings on the sarcophagus glow in a red aura. The globes are Evcocation magic in nature and the etchings are of a Transmutation magic in nature.
After completing his ritual, Essendrum takes a moment to scan the room. “The orbs are probably merely light sources, but the sarcophagus is enchanted and I advise we not approach it.” He follows after the others following the same path they did and touching nothing.

Spike:
When he reaches the southern door, Spike agrees, "Yes, leave well-enough alone--though keep an eye on it lest our bypassing it trigger a response somehow."
He examines the door and listens at it--if it seems clear, he will open it.

"Yep, I am in agreement with you. Let us not touch anything especially anything glowing with magic." Kiza carefully follows Spikes footsteps as to not trigger some unforeseen traps and keeps any eye out for any dangers.
Essendrum holds his torch high and takes the opportunity to elaborate on the subtleties of enchantments in a conspiratorial whisper. “This particular sarcophagus has transmutation magic etched onto the surface. It could be a warning system, but that would more likely be divination magic. The most probable case is that the spells guard what is inside. Red Wizards can be quite subtle though.” If he hasn’t already been hushed, he quiets down at this point and ponders the possibilities.
(( Enoch would take a fairly straight path from the entrance to the door, only deviating to remain at least 5 feet from the sarcophagus. He wouldn't bother examining it; he'd let Essendrum do his thing. ))
The entire room shutters as Enoch comes into 5 ft. of the dais. The nearest statue comes to life and turns its head towards Enoch. It opens its fanged mouth and a voice comes out of it. "Who approaches the resting place of Istaris the all-powerful?"
Enoch's eyes grew wide as he realized his error. Turning towards the others, he saw they seemed to be as unfamiliar with this as he was--although Essendrum seemed to be deep in thought, probably focusing on the construct.
With a shrug, the paladin turned back towards the statue, and simply stated, "My name is Enoch. I mean you no harm, and am only passing through."

Spike:
Leading the way, Spike moves slowly and looks to see if the tracks have reappeared of the two walkers and the person being dragged.

Again I am asking what path through the room Spike & Enoch take?
Is there a closer examination of the dais or do you steer clear?
Spike steers clear of the sarcophagus, following the eastern wall to the southern door.
