Khessa looks around... Concern for the threat of lurking creatures is mixed with pity for the poor victims, who felt the life being sucked from their bodies to the last. However, if no enemies emerge, she then examines the room... are there other exits? Or is this also a dead end?

Only the doors that you entered, there are no others
There's still a lich in said the doorway, checking his watch occasionally while the others are busy trying to re-consecrate the temple... by now his beholderkin has probably returned to the Far Realm.

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
[[ OOC: Yeah, difficult to track duration on a summons outside of combat. I'm not sure how long it really takes to search and consecrate the chapel, for example. In any case, I guess Lord Akkron followed us to the banquet hall now. ]]
Khessa sighs: "Whoever committed this mass murder, it seems, is no longer here. Let's continue the cleanup".
After that, if there is still an unexplored path to this floor, the blonde arcane warrior leads the party there... Otherwise, if there are only stairs left leading to the upper levels, she leads the party back to the reconsecrated chapel, to ascend by the stairs found there.
[[OOC: See post #1955. The banquet doors are there at the bottom left. The hallway may continue south past those doors (unclear), and there's another hallway that leads east from the banquet hall.]]
She also uses her Divine Sense to locate any hidden enemies in the room. She will point out whatever she notices, if anything. If the room is clear, she would say so and exit to the hallway, ready to explore where the southern hallway area if it's not a dead end, or else ascend the stairs to the north.
There is a set of stairs across from banquet hall, another at the other end of the hall.
[[OOC: the map cuts off at the bottom just beyond the banquet hall doors in the southwest corner. When you say "the other end of the hall", do you mean that stairway at the northwest of the map? Or do you mean that the hallway continues south, past the banquet hall doors, but that there's nothing in that direction except for another stairway leading up?]]

Based on the size of the banquet hall, Vrox would expect the hall to extend south at least another 10' beyond the doors to the banquet hall. Before they head upstairs, he'll search the south end of this hallway for any hidden or secret doors. He says, "It feels like there should be another chamber to the south here, doesn't it?"
Tyekanik suggests heading back up the north hallway to that stairway (north of the original entrance chamber). He explains, "It looked like a wide straight staircase. If any demons try to defend the top of the stairs, it'll be easier to bring more of our force to bear against them." He gestures to the stairs directly across from the banquet hall and says, "Much easier than fighting our way up a spiral staircase like this."
If the group agrees, Tyek can lead the way. He's not as stealthy as Vrox, but since they're expecting to run into opposition, it's probably better for him to lead. And with his Boots of Elvenkind, Tyek can move very quietly when he wants to.
Stealth24 (advantage from his boots when trying to move quietly)
Clarac follows Tyekanik, stopping at the bottom of the stairs so as not to give away his position with her noisy, clanking footsteps. She waits for his signal to proceed.

There is a set of stairs across from banquet hall, another at the other end of the hall. Then from the chapel there are two more stairs going up

Correct, north end where you came in

Investigation 12
Intrigued by Vrox's hypothesis, Khessa too tries to verify: Investigation: 11
Akkron, seeing Vrox and Khessa fumbling around looking for a secret doorway, sighs and approaches.
"Hold on a moment, I'll see if there's anything worth seeing..."
Investigation: 27

There is nothing else to the south but a solid wall
Akkron finishes his thorough inspection of the wall.
"There isn't... let's finish our cleanup job."

Roll perception please
