"You would have me get drunk on a school night?" Chara asks in mock-horror. But... it's pretty obvious that she is genuinely doing her best to be a model student.
"Anyway, let me know when you're planning a weekend get-together... when I won't have to worry too much about whether I'm one over the line. Well... actually, now that I think about it, I guess there most likely were non-alcoholic beverages... I hope I didn't just out myself as a no-time-for-fun busybody..."
Chara blushes slightly as the realization hit her that she might well have missed the 'meeting of the minds' for no reason.

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
The purple-skinned tiefling emphatically shakes his head. "No, not at all Chara, there will be many nights for us to visit the tavern. They did have non-alcoholic beverages so there is no need to drink alochol if you don't want to. I had wine, mostly to taste it, had two glasses and I honestly don't feel worse off than ususal this early in the morning, and that is nothing another cup of coffee won't remedy." He says with a small smile. "I suppose we could have something back at our lounge too?" He turns as asks the dreamer, hoping she hadn't dreamwalked off somewhere as he spoke to the winged tiefling.
(OOC - Well, I'm going to proceed with assuming Knap was up and quietly made his way to class to keep things moving.)
Knap arrives in plenty of time for his Beginning Computational Magic class. He takes a seat as various first-year students start to fill in the spots. Just moments before 9:00 a tall bipedal brown bear walks into the room - wearing the green and white of Quandrix. Stepping to the front, as soon as the hour is reached, he speaks up. "I am Professor Ruxa, Quandrix Professor of Substance." His voice is deep and rumbling. "Wonderful to see you all here. In this class, we are going to cover the fundamental basics of using mathematics to understand the theoretical underpinnings of the arcane. Is math embodied within the magical forces of the multiverse, waiting to be ferreted out? Or is math simply a lens through which we can understand the world and forces that exists around us? These are the big questions that we seek to answer."
He starts the roll call, naming off students, all of whom seem to be present. Even when he calls out, "Piero Mirthside," there is a hand raised and a corresponding "Present."
Piero Mirthside
Of course, there is really nothing remarkable at all about a student being in class, so the roll call continues. And after that the class starts, beginning with some brief discussions of ways that numbers have been involved in the casting of spells throughout history. As the bell rings, he reminds everyone to read up on tomorrow topic about how to express certain spells using mathematical formulas. He then dismisses the students.
At Malvyn'ssuggestion, he, Mei, and Charamake their way to the Biblioplex Cafe to grab some coffee. Their first class had been in the Biblioplex as is the next, so it only made sense to stop there. As 10am nears, all three will be heading to Introduction to Archaeomancy. Melloriand Knapare to join them for that one. Guardokand Maewill be heading to their History of Art and Magic class, also with Professor Veyran in the Biblioplex.
Guardok has to make a special effort to concentrate, not having been used to school style environments before, and so does not really check his surroundings during the class. Afterwards, though, he does wait as everyone else leaves and looks for anyone he recognises.
Seeing Mae, he waves and then checks his timetable, knowing he has a class again imminently.
When Mae reaches him on her way out, he will enquire, "Have you got History of Art and Magic next too?".
"And I hope you had a good time at the tavern too Mei..."The purple-skinned tiefling asks the dreamer a bit tentatively. "...and I want to thank you for your card of course." He adds with a mysterious smile.
Mei looks up at the sky, watching a cloud pass overhead when Malvyn mentions hoping she had a good time. She did... didn't she? But as he smiles mysteriously, her jaw drops and her eyes light up.
"Did something happen?" she asks, stood still in the path as the tieflings continue walking. "Something happened, didn't it?" Her lips purse against a smugness she feels more from the cards than herself that he took their advice. Subtly pointing a finger at Malvyn, she Messages in a whisper, "Did you kiiiisssss? Do you need a love reading?" then jogs to catch up, looking up at him expectantly.
Mei nods in agreement with Malvyn to Chara about the next potential weekend tavern visit. "They had live music and dancing too! So we could go sometimes just for that! We don't have to drink at all. I don't think I, um... responded well to it anyways... maybe," she says as her ears grow hot, feeling far more embarrassed today about how emotional she'd gotten the night before. "But, oh! I'm still hoping Guardok and Mae might perform there too. They just have to talk to the assistant manager apparently. Though I think it'd be nice if they did an open-stage night or something sometimes."
When Malvyn mentions having something back at the lounge, she nods again. "That would be nice! Maybe this weekend even? To celebrate getting through our first week of classes?"
Knap turned in early, sleeping soundly on his cushy bedroll. He woke rested and focussed on the day ahead. Extra care was taken to smooth and oil his scruffy beard. Breakfast was eaten and salutations passed around.
Knap arrives at class and takes a seat after giving it a little tap to test its sentience. Not as nervous as he thought he’d be, Knap sits up straight and patient.
For a split second knap thought his uncle was playing tricks on him. To his surprise a bear walks and announces himself as the professor. A bear he was not expecting.
Knap was further surprised to hear a name that’s been on everyone’s lips: Piero. Oh how this disappearing floormate’s ears must burn with all speculation chatter about him.
Knap spends the lesson counting his fingers with a confused look on his face, trying to wrap his head around building blocks and measurement apparatus and existential cuts.
The lesson finishes and Knap looks as though he’d received a slight electric jolt. He swallows the knowledge and hopes he doesn’t get indigestion.
“Piero! Hey Piero! Wait up.” Knap approaches. ”My name is Knap, 4th floor Dresar Hall your roomate is Guardok. We’ve been wondering where you’ve been. I hope everything’s ok? It’s good to meet you. Where’s ya next class maybe we could stroll together.”
As the purple-skinned tiefling hears the dreamer's whispered words in his ear he is at first surprised to hear her there, and then as he takes in the meaning of what she has whispered he feels his cheeks and pointed ears heating, quickly using his awakened mind to message back to her. "No...no...nothing like that...we just...danced..." The voice in her head says. Malvyn then continues to walk alongside Chara, wondering if the winged tiefling had noticed, then giving the teasing dreamer on his other side a quick insecure smile.
Malvyn nods in agreement with Mei as she mentions going back to the Bow's End tavern together in the weekend, all of them hopefully, also hoping to hear Mae and Guardok perform there.
Mae was not always the best student, but did her best to pay attention and take notes as necessary. She was more used to a tutor than sitting in a classroom with others while the professor lectured, but she didn't mind too much really. At times she even preferred it as she could just sit amongst everyone else without drawing attention (hopefully) and learn. Afterward she checked her schedule and noted again that she needed to hurry along to the arts class, something she was much more interested in, and almost didn't hear Guardok as he caught up to her on the way. "Hm? Oh, yes. I suppose you too, right? I think it's this way?" She nodded slightly toward the inside of the Biblioplex.
While there are a couple of students that you've probably seen before, the only one besides his floormates that Guardokrecognizes is Greta, the dwarf from the Strixhaven Iron-Lifters Society.
Piero is moving away relatively quickly. He hears Knapcalling and turns to look. He kind of dismissively waves and says, "Gotta run." He continues moving along towards the southwest.
(OOC - I'm posting to move things along. Feel free to fill in as you like.)
Everyone arrives for their 10am classes. Much of the group has Introduction to Archaeomancy with Professor Hofri Ghostforge. The dwarf is a Pastraiser, binding spirits into the monuments or statues to learn more about them. He even pioneered techniques to create such statues from scratch. Meanwhile Guardok and Mae have their class with the same Professor Veyran that some others had earlier.
The 11-o'clock hour sees Mei, Malvyn, and Charaagain with a break. The rest make their way to Beginning Inkomancy with the Professor Haellae T'yrr, a Drow. She explains that Inkomancy is the art and magic of the written word. The class will be learning about how many factors, such as font, design, and style are critical - just as much as the proper infusino of magic.
At 12pm Mellori, Knap, Guardok, and Maeall have a break after Inkomancy. The other three go from break to Basic Magical Auras. The group is a bit surprised as in the middle of the roll call they hear "Piero Mirthside" and he's present! This class is taught by Professor Wilkis Lamplebemple, a distinguished looking gnome and Lorehold Professor. He begins with explain common uses of auras and starts in on what can be seen with Detect Magic.
Soon it nears 1pm and everyone has Magical Physiologies with Professor Veralda Lang, a dryad. This class is not inside the Biblioplex, being located in a building not too far away. Everyone is now arriving for the class. Even Piero!
Hofri Ghostforge, Lorehold ProfessorHaellae T'yrr, Silverquill Professor
Guardok sticks with his friends during the 10am and 11am lessons, assuming they are happy with that, trying his best to concentrate and take it all in. Already he was beginning to realise that there was far more to the practice of magic than merely doing it.
During his break at 12, he will suggest to Mellori, Knap and Mae that they should get some food before their 1pm lessons. It was his stomach that first suggested the idea, rumbling loudly just as they finished their Inkomancy class.
Mei, about to nod off again in Basic Magical Auras, sits up straight as Piero's name is called. The petite wizard turns completely in her chair to gawk and then pins him with a look she's learned from her Grandmother, one of concerned vexation. As the Professor continues the roll call, she faces forward again.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The purple-skinned tiefling continues his attentiveness in classes, diligently taking notes and taking an active part in class, even daring to ask questions when he finds things unclear or is merely curious. In the break between Archaeomancy and Basic Magical Auras he again visits the Biblioplex cafeteria for yet another cup of coffee together with the sandwich of the day as an early lunch.
As he moves between classes the purple-skinned tiefling is keeping his eyes open for the raven-haired performer, not to speak to her necessarily but he felt it would be nice to just look at her again.
Perception if relevant: 20
Sitting with Chara and Mei again, Malvyn too is surprised as Piero Mirthside is present at Basic Magical Auras, turning briefly to get a look at the mysterious young man who had not yet introduced himself to his floor mates.
As they all move between Basic Magical Auras and Magical Physiologies, Malvyn tries to catch up with the quite elusive Piero. "Excuse me, I'm Malvyn, I believe we are at the same floor in Dresar Hall, I just wanted to say hello seeing as you have not spent much time there yet." He says a bit tentatively with a somewhat polite smile.
Mae found the arts class most fascinating so far, paying far more attention in that class than the others, albeit with a few wandering daydreams about her own possibilities in the future with creative magic. The Inkomancy course was mildly interesting, although the thought of being overly detailed about everything did not sit so well but she saw some value in aspects of it. When she finally had a break again, she agreed that some lunch was a good idea before they headed off to their last class in the early afternoon. Mae found a spot where she could see and hear the professor without too much trouble, and getting a small smile on her face as the elusive Piero was there as well, although she didn't bother to approach them, content that at least they were there and seemingly well for the moment.
Knap keeps up the best he can in classes. His cup appears to be overflowing, so to speak. Aside from a mishap spill in Inkomancy that left him a few dark black smudges across his fingers, robes and cheeks, Knap was feeling optimistic. He walks with the others to Magical Physiologies.
“Look, look, there he is again!” Knap squeals in delight as he catches sight of Piero.
Malvynhad not spotted Aurora thus far throughout the day. As you leave Professor Lamplebemple's class, it is not that difficult to catch up with Piero, as he seems to be headed in the same direction. He gives the Tiefling a brief glance. "Yes, yes. I really don't plan on spending much time in Dresar Hall, so best of luck to you. I presume that must have been your purple-haired friend in class too staring at me. Anyway, excuse me, I need to get to class."
As Knap excitedly spots someone in the crowd of students entering the building for the Magical Physiologies class, Guardok cranes his neck to see around all the taller folk and identify the one Knap means.
"Which one though, Knap?", he asks curiously. As he looks around he spots the others from the Dresar Hall fourth floor, and waves merrily at them even as he waits for Knap to point Piero out.

Guardok had indeed seen a name on the note - Mei Fujimori. The note did appear to be sealed as well.
