Quinn moves east, behind another tree, watching Bryony carefully. He sees no threats. The massive pile of rubble to the north could provide entrance to the tunnel with some significant work – probably pick and shovel and an hour or two– but right now it appears to completely block any entry there. Then he sees Bryony pause and flinch from a sound she has heard.
Bryony moves back toward the others, creeping slowly and carefully, trying to stay lower than the arrow slits, which is pretty easy given her height. When she rejoins the party, she whispers, "Definitely people inside. I heard someone humming. I couldn't tell if it was a goblin or not."
Bryony carefully and quietly retraces her steps back to the party. The sounds had come from the arrow slit to the north, facing the broken entrance. There is no further activity, no immediately obvious evidence that Bryony was spotted.
From their brief observations, Bryony and Quinn can sense that the walls of this castle are very thick – as much as five feet thick – and that the arrow slits indeed probably have a limited field of view. There are no signs of illumination or lights of any kind within, that they've seen.
Quinn moves up ahead to gain vantage of the eastern flank of the castle. He drops to one knee, keeps his longbow at the ready and provides cover for everyone. He scans the terrain moving from the southernmost turret including the murder holes, the top of the elevated platform, and up to the northernmost turret.

Quinn sees nothing in the way of activity, aside from some birds which have nested in the crumbling tower on the northwest side of the castle, the upper floors of which have long collapsed. The southwest tower is little more than a heap of rubble. Whatever habitable space is left in this ruin would be on the ground floor, and there may not be a lot of it. He can also make out a hint of an overgrown path to the south.
Jurgen, now joined by Kimberley, looks for entrances on the north side. He sees at least two additional arrow slits, two major areas of collapse, but no doors or obvious entrances. There is a nook he can't see into without moving further east; nor can he see the east side of the castle.
Bryony sees that the overgrown path leads to a passage that climbs into the wall. A large iron door stands here, sheltered somewhat from the outside. Arrow slits ten feet above the ground overlook the path.
Quinn sneaks a few paces to the east and crouches down with his back against the stone staircase. He looks to the north and south trying to keep an eye on the party. He also focuses his senses on attempting to hear the humming that Bryony mentioned.

Quinn searches the surroundings. He measures up the rubble pile and thinks to himself "Not an option. It'll take too long. Leave us exposed...".
Then he stops when he notices Bryony suddenly halt her movement. He looks back at the rest of group, motions for them to hold and watch Bryony.
