Fergus races forward, just outside the door, keeping an eye on Boona.
Jurgen may act. He is just outside the door and still has his movement and action. Bryony may dash or otherwise act (she is well aware that Boona has just crashed through the barricaded door, but doesn't see anything more.) Quinn, likewise. But first he should roll initiative (and meet or beat an 8.) Boona, facing three hostile rock-throwing(?) dead dwarves, may roll initiative. On an 8+, she may advance to try to clobber one of them (she's 15-20' from the closest.)
The once-dwarven blacksmiths' eyes glow with otherworldly power. Their ashen skin is desiccated, but the muscles underneath substantial. Clearly dead, they are not slow.
A sea of blue lava roils slowly outside the windows in a vast cavern.
Jurgen will move through the doorway and to the right, making room for others to enter the room. He then casts Firebolt at the nearest undead (10 to hit with 8 fire damage)
Jurgen steps inside the ancient forge and lobs a mote of fire at the closest dead thing. The dead dwarf is clad in little more than rags and dry skin, but they are quick on their feet and tougher than they look. (10 misses.)
Boona steps forward, ducking under the stationary conveyor of buckets. She swings, but it likewise glances off the dead dwarves' natural armor. (15 also misses.)
Quinn begins to run down the hall. So does Bryony.
The ashen corpses surge toward Boona and Jurgen. One pummels Jurgen with chunks of black rock, another Boona. A third throws fragments of rock at Boona.
Ashen corpse #1: Necrotic Shard #1 vs: Jurgen. Melee Attack: 9. Hit: 7 necrotic damage, and Jurgen has disadvantage on the next attack roll he makes before the end of his next turn. Quinn sprints forward. (With 80 feet, he can get up into melee with the closest one. Does he want to end his turn there, or stay back with Fergus?)
Jorzu may act! Then, Jurgen, Boona, Bryony, and Fergus may act.
As he clambers to his feet after being brushed aside by a rampaging Boona, Jorzu can hear sevel grunts from within the now open room. He can only imagine it is something hitting his new friend. A little hesitantly at first he makes his way to the doorway. He peeks around the corner and throws his walking stick into the room. It land with a clack on the stone floor and erupts in green mist. His faithful serpentine servant appears. It curls into a defensive coil, waiting on a command. It moves towards the nearest enemy.
As Hugo appears he speaks to Laiti through their telepathic link. "Remember the way and head back here. NOW! Oh, and bring Byrony. Please, thank you".
M - moves to the doorway and then acts. After action he retreats to stand next to Fergus.
A - Magic Action to throw walking stick and summons Hugo.
BA - instructs Laiti to return to him and hopefully ibfoem Byrony of the urgency.
Hugo attacks
Bite Attack: 22 Damage: 6
Constrict on DC14 STR save or 19 damage and be Grappled.
Jorzu's walking stick once again unfurls and expands into a massive snake. It snaps at the nearest ashen wight (#2) and strikes it, even managing to get some fangs into it. The dead dwarf struggles to escape the snake's huge coils. DC14 STR Save:27
...But the unnaturally-strong corpse just shrugs them off.
Boona, her strength oddly depleted from those blows, manages to hit the same dwarven wight with one of her swings. It is modestly damaged, but far from defeated.
Jurgen slashes at the the corpse menacing him (#1) and manages to inflict a solid hit. Flames flash toward #2, searing it as well.
Bryony (who's well-aware of the commotion, if not the details) and Fergus (just outside the doorway) may act next.
Not wanting to get any closer at the moment, Fergus stays where he is and wracks his brain for what to do next…Without many spells left, he decides to keep his more powerful ones in reserve for healing should an ally fall.
Focusing his attention on the wight that just avoided the snake’s grasp (#2), he calls out, “Nice dance moves, twinkle toes! Hugo just wanted a little hug and now you’ve made him sad—shame on you!.”
