From the back of the Redbrand's common room, Syzygy spews a poorly-aimed ray of sickening greenish energy at the first bugbear, but it misses completely, fizzling on the doorway.

Kimberley pulls a bluish flame-like radiance down upon the same attacker. It tries to sidestep it: DC13 Dex save: 10

Awakening, Aros crawls to safety before a transformation overcomes him: his body becomes luminous; his joints glimmer like stars, and glowing lines connect them as on a star chart. He sheds a bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet. A constellation of an archer appears upon him, and he launches a ghostly, luminous arrow at the beast, striking it in the ribs. It staggers and howls in pain, but it continues to charge forward toward Kimberley.

Seared by Kimberley's moonlight and with a ghostly arrow dissolving in his chest, the bugbear doesn't look long for this world. Nevertheless, it charges, determined, at Kimberley.

#2 Morningstar Attack vs. Kimberley: 11. Hit: 10 piercing damage.

The one next to it by the stairway, as badly wounded as the first, spins and goes after Bryony.

#1 Morningstar Attack vs. Bryony: 18. Hit: 9 piercing damage.

The other two, still keeping clear of the arcane bonfire, shout and snarl from the other room as they watch.

Everyone may act.

Kimberley ducks under the hairy persons swing and calls on her Goddess once more.

Jurgen fires his crossbow at the bugbear 

Attack: 22 Damage: 6

he then moves back an to the left by the door to open the path. 

The bugbear facing Kimberley tries to step aside, away from the radiant moonlight she pulls down...  DC13 Dex Save: 22

...and easily succeeds, but then steps right into the path of Jurgen's crossbow bolt, catching him right in the forehead. He collapses backward, quite dead.

Aros, Quinn, Syzygy, and Bryony may act next.

The bugbear tries to smash Bryony with its morningstar, but she is agile enough to duck out of the way in time. In response she attempts to sink her blades into the big hairy beast.

"Nice shot, Jurgen! My turn!"

Quinn draws his bow, steadies his aim at one of the bugbears in the room beyond the bonfire.

"Kimberly!..Aros! Duck!"

Attack: 18 to hit for 9 damage

After Quinn’s arrow flies by, Aros sends another blast of energy at the bugbear. Another vine erupts from the ground and pulls the furthest bugbear onto the fire.

“Starting to get the hang of this, are we?” 
Syzygy will a concentration of moonfire upon the remaining two.

Bryony sinks her blade into her brutish attacker; it collapses dead at the bottom of the stairs.

Quinn fires his bow clear down the hallway into the room beyond, striking the next bugbear (#3) in the ribs. It howls in pain and anger.

Aros arcanely transmutes a fragment of stem into a long, vine-like whip covered in thorns that lashes out at the furthest attacker, pulling it into the bonfire. (DC 15 Dex save or take 4 fire damage: 3 ) Simultaneously, his starry form fires a luminous arrow at it, striking its thigh with a ghostly barb.

Syzygy pulls down a beam of moonlight upon both of them. DC14 Dex save or take 5 radiant damage: 17 and 5)

Bugbear #4, burned, whipped, and moon-seared, is in rough shape. But it dodges the moonlight and charges Kimberley in a rage, stepping over its fallen comrade, its Morningstar raised for a swing.

Bugbear #3, an arrow still protruding from its ribs, charges through the flames, (DC 14 Dex save or take 2 fire damage: 12)
Still dripping with arcane flames, it stands upon its dead brethren and swings at Bryony:
#3 Morningstar Attack vs. Bryony: 22. Hit: 13 piercing damage.

(Is Bryony down?) Everyone may act. Two enraged, wounded bugbears, now fully past the bonfire, continue to charge the party.

Kimberley ducks under the swing and touches Bryony bringing energy to her form, she stays ducked so that others can fire over her at the goblinoid.

Cure Wounds- 10

“Aros, duck!”

Quinn let’s loose another arrow at the bugbear attacking Kimberly.

Attack: 24 to hit for 5 damage

Kimberley finds she cannot get past the two hostile brutes, but she finds she can just manage to peek around the corner and lay eyes upon Bryony's limp form. (Healing Word; Bryony regains 6 hp and awakens prone.)

Quinn fires a fresh arrow at bugbear #4 and hits it in the shoulder. It is in very bad shape.

Syzygy, Jurgen, Bryony (awake but prone) and Aros may act next.

Jurgen pokes his head around the corner and fires a bolt at the bugbear#4. He asks Kim if she'd like to switch places.

Attack: 19 Damage: 11

Bryony wakes up, dazed. She's not even sure what just happened. She slowly gets to her feet and attacks the bugbear closest to her.
