Turning to flee, Scampus leaves himself open to attack by Trolkarl and Gneuman. Trolkarl's sword flashes out, delivering a mortal blow to Scampus. He whimpers and falls to the ground, bleeding profusely. He also changes form in front of you to that of a young, human man.
The rats disperse as well. They are putting as much distance between you and them as they can.
Chadwick remains unconscious on the ground, bleeding from multiple nasty bite wounds. It seems the bleeding is slowing...... ( Stabilization roll = 16, 2 successes now )
The tunnels are quiet again. There is a faint drip-dripping sound heard from the passage you entered the natural cavern through.
Hoid searches Scampus and finds two small pouches, a dagger, tattered clothes and a mix and match of pieces of leather armor. The first pouch contains a small piece of cheese, a half-eaten sausage and three heels of bread. The second pouch contains 19cp.
I get back 4 HP (level+ CHA bonus) from the Scampus (the audacity to backstab me while carrying food I shared) dropping while marked with holy Angel Blade Boom. But I still really need to use the hit die along with needing to reset all my resources.
Also, can any of you assure me that this bite looks okay?

Hoid will perform a thorough search of both rooms and encourage everyone to do the same. Then we can set up watch and get Chadwick in the road to recovery (long rest).
Starting with the room on the left with the broken altar:
The passage opens up into a large natural chamber. There are small stalactites on the ceiling that is 15’ high. The floor remains tightly packed sand. There the remains of an altar constructed of wood and decorated with bones and skulls. This has been smashed apart. The wood has dark stains on the surface of the altar and running down the sides. A fetid odor fills the cave. The far corner of the cavern has a pile of small crates, kegs and sacks. Hoid found a strongbox there that sounds like it is full of coins. It is apparently locked. Another natural passage exits to room about 20’ away on the near wall.
Passing on through this room to the next:
Two natural passages end in this natural cavern. The ceiling is about 12’ high and covered with small stalactites. The floor is tightly packed sand. Across the room is a pile of blankets and some fleeces. These have been scattered. The sand under them is loose, not hard packed like the rest of the floor.

Kragen immediately tends and binds Chadwicks wounds, working to stabilize his condition.

Hoid feels divine inspiration to return to the connected rooms with the ruined altar and bedding. It will provide Chadwick an opportunity to recover.
And who knows, perhaps there is more there to be discovered?

Hoid will dig through the lose sand to see if there is anything down six inches or so, or any signs that suggest a more thorough excavation.
Hoid digs down six inches or so. He finds nothing but loose sand.
Keep digging if the sand is loose.
Was there anything else of value among the kegs and sacks? Not sure if Hoid searched all of that area. If not, Gneuman will rummage through it.
Kegs and sacks were the only things thoroughly searched, but it was just one dwarf looking.
There were miscellaneous trade goods, casks of ale, foodstuffs, ropes, block and tackle as well as the strongbox found by Hoid.
