That was a rather long wait. *If no one else is staying with Renar he will finally let his tail sway loose as it also reveals his katana placed onto the left side of his lap; If there is anyone else staying with him he won't do so* His brows furrow with concern* Am I really that weak still? I've trained so hard to improve my stamina and yet I still fall behind everyone else for some reason, including Okaa-san. What's going with my- *His Fox ears twitch upon noticing a hooded fellow* Hm? *He turns around slightly but not too much to attract his attention* What the... who is that? And... why is he... staring at... Stupid Rixi? *He pretends not to notice* Is he a friend or foe? I better keep an eye on him... *He notices the hooded person leaving without doing anything* Huh? Wha... wait... he just left?! Without even doing anything to Stupid Rixi?! Who is that?! And what are his or her motives? I really can't tell; Their hood is darker than even the feintest eclipse I've ever witnessed, and possibly far darker than mine for sure.

It's 21:00, and the work for today is done, Maigurs leads the volunteers inside the tavern and gathers everyone around. The tavern is much quieter, most of the patrons returned home and prepared to move tomorrow morning, and the few that remained mostly concentrated on the bar and the counter
"Alright... that's all for today, thank you so much for helping me."He says, his tail swaying idly, "You should wake up as soon as the sun rises, my friends are coming here as fast as they can, and we'll need more than just seven of us to evacuate this many people."
*As soon as Renar hears everyone else come back, especially his mother, he instantly swoops his katana underneath his jacket again, plus his tail if he's the only one staying* Finally they're back. I was getting kinda worried for them, especially Okaa-san... "How did it go?" I ask the others with a rather dry tone.
If anyone asks him if something incidental happens: "No, not really. I'm just relived he didn't wake up and tried to scorch the binds we placed on him. Though... Some hooded person came to see him."I pause for a moment to try and remember the details as best as I can. "I couldn't really determine what race he or she was. The hood was obscuring his or her face so I couldn't really determine what their intentions were up to. It's pretty strange though... they were staring at our captive but left without choosing to do anything. I have a gut feeling we might meet them again another day to if that's case.
He places two keychains on the table, "I've booked two rooms for you, three of us in one room and three of you in the other I'll be staying with you guys since that's the last two rooms available tonight if you don't mind that." He touches one of the keys,"There is a key to the sauna and the bathroom too. Remember to take a shower after you've sat in the sauna, not the other way around!" He snickers.
"So, who wants to stay with me for tonight?"He asks.
Hmm... two rooms... three people plus an extra in one of them. Honestly, I know that Okaa-san's gonna do anything to make sure she gets to sleep with me I can easily feel it, but as long I stay far away from the other two girls I should be fine. As for the showers... well... uh... Yeah I mean I said I wanted to refresh myself but there are others in my presence! I'm still not gonna reveal my fox tail and ears to the others yet. No way in hell. Other than Okaa-san, I don't feel the slightest comfort with anyone else knowing that I'm just like the former even though they seem nice and friendly. Sorry guys. "Um... well... You guys go ahead with the showers. I can still keep a watch on... that... idiot. Then we can sort out who's gonna sleep with who and what not after that."

Maya heads out with the others to begin the evacuation process. Whilst she cooperated really well with the rest; She lacks muscle, so even carrying the non-perishable crates with her bare arms alone, coupled with the fact that she can't hold her umbrella to shield herself from the rain, felt like absolute agony, and causing her to makes a series of painful grunts throughout the entire task (and nearly drops one crate onto her bare ankles in the process). Despite all of this though, with some help of Venet, Taliyah and Alex, she manages to get the job done as she breathes a sigh of relief. She then gasps as the rain gets a thousand times worse. "Ah! Chū ni modorimashou! Isoide! (中に戻りましょう！急いで, Let's go back inside! Hurry!" She exclaims as she scampers back to the tavern before her entire dress all the way up to ginger hair becomes even more soaked.

Uh..."She scratches one of her fox ears. "RIkai... dekimasen... (理解...できません, I don't... get it.)" Thankfully, as Maigurs reveals to keys, her smile instantly comes back. Also if there's anything the kitsune can can finally comprehend, it's the words 'key', 'sauna' and 'shower'. The thing that she needs the most. "Ah! Arigato, Maigurosu-kun!"In fact, whilst she has the opportunity before she showers and retains her pretty image... Also, her son seems hesitant on showering with the boys. Why is that? Or it because... you know what? *Activates Icebreaker mode*
"Renar-kun! Shawa O abite! Muri o shinaide kudasi! (シャワーを浴びる! 無理をしないでください, Go shower! Please don't push yourself!)" Maya then boldly announces as she deliberately shakes his hoodie and points to him, to the surprise of absolutely nobody. "Also... Watashi wa anata to... nemuritai! (私はあなたと... 眠りたい, I want to... sleep with you!)" She then flashes a teasy smile at him before noticing the showers and turning towards it to bathe... assuming that another one of the girls is holding the shower key, because she totally forgot that, despite her son's translations, it's locked.

Shugo nods to Venet, then listens to Renar's response. Well, seems like he REALLY doesn't want to help. Good, then he won't have to feel bad about staying behind either! ...Plus there'll be someone to share in the punishment should anything go wrong...Without changing his usual expression, the elf rises from his chair holding his sheathed sword in his right hand, sidles up to Renar and throws his left arm over the shifter's shoulders knowing full well that it would make him uncomfortable. "Well then! I'll stay here with you and watch the Hot-head! Better to have two guards watching that one anyway!"
He waves at the others when they leave to help with the evacuation, then promptly flops back down in his chair by the fire. He looks like he's taking a nap...even though elves don't need naps...but in reality he's keeping a pretty good watch on everyone in the room. He doesn't move when the hooded figure enters the tavern, but his eye twitches slightly when the person walks over to Cezars. He's prepared to jump to his feet should anything go wrong, but to his surprise the person just walks away. Hmm, odd.
In response to Renar, "No idea. Best to just keep ignoring them for now, don't let em know we noticed anything. If they come back we can confront them."He sounds utterly unconcerned when he says this.
Once everyone returns, he lets Renar explain what they saw and listens to what Wolf-boy has to say. Wow, he bought them rooms?! This kid is definitely going to be taken advantage of some day. When the question of who wants to sleep where comes up, he senses some discomfort...from no one in particular of course. "How's about the three girls in one room and us guy's in the other? That makes it easy. I also don't mind sleeping on the floor since it sounds like there are only three beds in each room."He chuckles, "I mean, not that I need to sleep. I am an elf after all."
He shrugs when Renar tells him and Alex to shower first. "Suit yourself. Just make sure you take one before bed! I sure don't want to have to smell you all night!" Then he swipes the bathroom key off the table and starts on his way to the shower.
Alex, now thoroughly tired, is eager to prepare for bed. He hesitates for a while, and then says, "Alright, thanks Maigurs! Uh... Shugo, Renar, how about you two and I share a room with Maigurs. That way the women can have their privacy? ..."He trails off when Maya begins making exclamations and pointing to Renar.
He looks to Venet and Taliyah, "You two and Maya can go first, we don't mind waiting."He looks to Shugo and Renar, "Right guys?" It was only polite to let the ladies go first.
Once everything settles down, he turns to Renar, "A hooded guy came to look at Cezars? That sounds a little suspicious... but he didn't do anything? Did you say anything to him?" He rubs his chin, "Thats... really weird. Hopefully he doesn't cause trouble for us down the line..."A sinking feeling grips his stomach--hopefully that person didn't have anything to do with the energy inside Cezars. No, it can't be. He's just being paranoid...right?
After a few moments, Alex pulls Renar aside, "Hey... uh... can I talk to you for a minute?"

But... well you told Maigurs when he checked your passport that your name was actually Renars, and that you were a half-elf, but they left off the 's' in your name and forgot to add a race? Yet, you've always gone by Renar... so I'm guessing that was a lie? Plus, your from Shugo's country, not this one, so... I mean are their names similar to the ones here? I know my name doesn't have an 's' on the end but... that's kinda standard for most guys around these parts." He hesitates, "Look, I trust you, but I just want to make sure you aren't... well, in danger or something. Even if you are a changeling, that doesn't matter and there's no reason to hide it. So... well it just makes me wonder if you've got someone looking for you or something? Someone you don't want to find you." He seems genuinely concerned, and hasn't even considered the fact that Renar could be an outlaw trying to stay undercover... likely partly because wearing a hood makes him all the more suspicious, but also because he's a generally trusting individual.
"If you don't want to tell me I get it, I just wanted to ask," he adds. "You're my friend, even if you're a bit on the shy side." He smiles, "And I just want to make sure that everything is going alright. ...also... What language does Maya use? I'm confused about... how you could know it? I mean, she a... well you know, so I just assumed she must have come from somewhere really secluded, which would explain the language barrier. But... you?" He gets excited for a moment as if something just crossed his mind, "Is it some ancient kitsune language that you rediscovered on a previous quest?!" He laughs, "Are you some sort of traveling scholar? That's cool if that's the case. I bet you've rediscovered all sorts of things then. Are you hiding your research until it's ready to be published?"That could explain his reasoning behind keeping himself covered, but it would be a flimsy excuse considering how suspicious it made him. Plus, if he was a traveling researcher, then... why does he seem so ignorant about the world? Alexander will just have to wait and see what he says.

(Stop!) argh! *He grits his teeth as his mother ruffles his head before he forcefully flicks her away and translates what she said to the rest of the group with flushed cheeks* "Um... she's saying that I shouldn't push myself and also..."*He pinches himself to reduce his blush* "She apparently wants to sleep with me... but... Alex, you already said that the four boys would group together right?" I shake my head at Okaa-san. Sorry but, now's not the best time to go all lovey dovey on me...

"Neither me or Shugo dared to say anything to him. We didn't want to add fuel to the fire so we pretended not to notice him... or her... neither of us could tell. And also, the part where you said he doesn't cause trouble, wasn't that similar to what I just sort of said earlier?" I sarcastically mumble to myself as I wonder how long this façade can sustain me throughout the course of the journey to the ruins...

I felt the stone in my stomach sink even deeper to my bowel and intestines as Alex tries to pry my actual identity. I'm so thankful he chose an appropriate time to uh... *His hands tremble as he does his best to at least maintain his disguise for a longer period of time* Well... I can't say that we're actual friends yet. Having lived an isolated and distrustful life, I'm not the type of kitsune to consider you a friend after three days; You need to prove to me that you can maintain this bond for me, and show that you won't stab me in the back even as I reveal my secrets one day. And I'm fully aware that this can take weeks since I prefer to be by myself. Anyways...
"Uh... um... well..."Come on, Raiden. Breathe. Imagine if Rixi or Yuri were here; Imagine the being able to understand your reasoning. "Y-y-yeah. I'm actually a changeling. The only reason why I let the half-elf thing slide at the toll was because I had forgot what the actual race was until that... Stupid fellow... blurted it out. And no... Renar had always been my actual name. I mean... I was previously called 'Renars' but the 's' sounded kind of funny to me, so I dropped it altogether." How ironic though. In Japan, the word Renar sounds like a girl's name at best, so to actually try and cover my act up with this stupid lie... sigh... at least I'm not one to crack under pressure unlike Xenia or even Daisy. "And yeah... I... uh... I am from Prihiyeh but sometimes you know... one can go off his family's roots sometimes yeah? Plus I never knew that Shugo was indeed of a royal family in there..." What am I even saying?! I'm actually not from Prihiyeh and even to this day I'm still trying to understand what the heck that country is all about!
*He hears Alex saying that he trusts him* Hmm? You trust me? Even after we've only been together for three days? Yeah... uh... unfortunately for you, I'm not that person who trust easily... I stare at Alex with a sullen expression, but then mellow a bit after noticing his concern. "To me... um...sorry to burst your bubble but... I don't trust easily like you; wherever I go, every person I see is either none of my concern or just another batch waiting to shun me for my... "shapeshifting" habits. I do my best to keep a low profile to avoid garnering the wrong kind of attention. If you say that you're on my side, I want... no... I need you... to show that I can trust you, over the next few weeks we're travelling together. If you really are my friend, I hope you wouldn't stab in the back at some point in the future; I need you prove that you won't. *Deep breath as he rubs his clawed knuckles* So far, you remind me of someone who's not only equally as young as you are but is also the same class as you and has given me a second chance in this world. So... now's my turn... to reciprocate that chance to you."
*Overhears Alex's enthusiasm about his new language* "Hmm... I mean yeah, you're not wrong. This fox woman... she's a kitsune right? So I'm theorizing that she must have been in some secluded place where her 'changeling language' must be common. I mean, yeah, I only picked the language up out of sheer curiosity, through various ancient texts in a library heheh. Apparently her language does have a name, but I'm not sure what it's called yet. I'm still looking to find out about it. And uh... a scholar maybe? Yeah that's right. I want to document my findings o the ruins too. That's another goal I'm after." I'm not actually a travelling scholar. In fact I'm never keen on writing books, let alone reports, at all so this is... well... I mean I do have two separate books but that doesn't make me one does it? "I mean, I'm only just starting so I don't really have much to hide at the moment. But maybe, if we do end up with these random encounters on the way, I suppose I could...?" *He trails off* Gosh this sounds a lot more exhausting than I thought it would be, trying to make up a bunch of excuses just to keep my true identity as another kitsune safe...
Speaking of which... I forgot to ask if the showers are single or multi person. Wolfie didn't really explain it in detail did he? "Uh... Alex... Are the showers single or multi person? If they're single I probably need to go... ACHOO!"
"Right! Boy's room and girl's room, then, just like the good old days!" He tosses a key to Taliyah, "Good night and sweet dreams, girls!"He winks.
You ascend upstairs to the first floor where all the rooms are. That's pretty much it, taverns like these have two or three floors maximum, they aren't a dedicated hotel and stacking floors too high could make it prone to collapse.
For non-Perkwunosite natives, at first, you thought there was no bathroom in this establishment at first, but when you see people in robes coming and going, that's when you realise there is, in fact, two: the men's bathroom has no 'man in trousers' symbol to indicate this is for male, instead, it's represented with a picture of a chrysanthemum. The women's bathroom has something similar too, it's represented with a picture of a rose.
The bathrooms are split into two sections: multi-person baths and sauna. It is dead quiet in both men's and women's bathrooms and not a single person can be seen... except you, of course. There is a large wooden tub in the centre of the bath, filled with steamy, warm water. The sauna is what you'd expect, there is a hole in the wall filled with hot stones, you give it a splash of water, and steam will come from it. On the wall is a thermometer in Kelvin scale, it's a familiar sight for anyone born in Lancea.
After you're all done with the sauna and bath, you head to your room, the boy's room is the only one with a balcony, and the girl's room is to the boy's room's right (On top of where Cezars' token is on the battle map). Maigurs tosses Cezars (Who still remains unconscious) on the floor, jumps on the bed, and falls asleep immediately. You all put your armour and weapons in a chest on the other end of the room too (highlighted in green on the map), it'd be uncomfortable sleeping with those still strapped to your bodies.
The moment your head touches your pillow, you also fall asleep very quickly just like Maigurs (except for Shugo, who's an elf). Today was probably one of the most eventful days in your life up to this point. You fought Cezars in the morning, trek through a cyclone in the afternoon, and lug around crates in the evening. It's simply an appetiser for what's about to come, because tomorrow will be an even bigger day.

Alex, Renar, and Shugo hear something shuffling in the dark, you turn your head up and see a hooded figure standing on the balcony. It's still raining outside, but they don't seem to be bothered by it at all. Maigurs is still sleeping soundly as ever, you'll need to shake him up to wake him up, or maybe make a loud sound so everyone can come to help too.
They walk to the door, pull out a lockpicking kit, and start tinkering with the doorknob. A few seconds later, they get it open, and once they step inside, they open their hoods, revealing a blonde half-elf woman with a ponytail.
She walks toward Cezars and kicks him awake, "Wake up, did you seriously get captured by a bunch of amateurs like these?" She points toward the boys, still oblivious to the fact that they're no longer asleep anymore.
Cezars groans and snaps awake. "Ugh... who the heck are you...?"
"That doesn't matter, your aunt paid me to check on you." She crouches down, pulls out a dagger, and cuts the rope that binds Cezars open. The fire Genasi remains still, though, and he's somehow even more angry.
"Aunt? How about I pay you 8000 gold to tell her to shove a salt block up her—" The half-elf muffles Cezars' mouth with her hand before he can finish his sentence.
"Quiet down, you baboon! Do you want this entire establishment to know that I'm here!" She whispers angrily, "Get moving!"

(Stop!) argh! *He grits his teeth as his mother ruffles his head before he forcefully flicks her away and translates what she said to the rest of the group with flushed cheeks* "Um... she's saying that I shouldn't push myself and also..."*He pinches himself to reduce his blush* "She apparently wants to sleep with me... but... Alex, you already said that the four boys would group together right?" I shake my head at Okaa-san. Sorry but, now's not the best time to go all lovey dovey on me..
"Eh?! Naze?! (Why?!) Meanie!" Maya pouts as she turns away from him and tries to open the bathroom door... and realised its locked. "Eh? Naze... Argh! Open! Why can't I...?!"
She nods at Alex's words. "Well, what a gentlemen," she muses. She then follows after the fox woman after swiping a set of the keys, a small smile playing on her lips at the woman's forgetfulness.
Maya instantly blushes in embarrassment. How did she not notices that she needed a key to open the door to the shower?! "Oh... um... Gomen nasai... (ごめん なさい..., Sorry...)" She whispers in embarrassment before she slips into the woman's baths and immediately dips into one of the showers in there. After cleaning herself as well as using the borrowed brush to scrub her nine tails clean, she dips into the centre bath and stretches her arms into the air; unless if anyone attempts to strike a conversation with her, she will remain silent for the duration of her bath. Afterwards, once she's done, she uses her magic to clean her dress before neatly folding it and putting on a red kimono before following the others to their rooms.
Inside the room, Maya's still frustrated that she's not permitted to sleep with her son. Seriously, why can't she have some downtime with him even for one second? Whatever. Before she heads into the woman's bedroom's though, she takes a moment to glance at Renar... who neatly stashes his katana before the doors close on her. Aha! So it is Raiden after all! She's really thankful all the more less that he's doing fine. Technically speaking, Kitsunes don't need to sleep either, but the 6 hundred year old woman does feel a little sluggish nonetheless. "Yawn... Oyasumi (おやすみ, Good night)..." She lets out before she places herself on a bed and tucks her tail around her body before she enters a trance-like state to replenish herself.

I watch as everyone else goes into the shower before me. Once I hear that they're done, I can finally at least break free of my disguise... *As soon as he confirms that he's alone in the men's baths, he takes off his outfit and immediately jumps into the bath where he lets his tail sway loose* Ahh... that was a nice bath. It's so nice to break free from the shackles of my cramped and soaked hoodie. And honestly, I feel so much now. Absolutely exquisite! *He gets and briefly dries himself and his tail before putting back on his disguise, which is a new change of clothes, before he heads back into the room to stow away his katana; Once again his fox ears and tail remain unseen by the rest* "Yawn... well... time to get some rest." And indeed. I hope this rest would help us rejuvenate us better in order to maintain our wills at finding the ruins.
At least... that's what I thought the night would be... Because that's when I heard something that sent shivers up my tail...

Alex, Renar, and Shugo hear something shuffling in the dark, you turn your head up and see a hooded figure standing on the balcony. It's still raining outside, but they don't seem to be bothered by it at all. Maigurs is still sleeping soundly as ever, you'll need to shake him up to wake him up, or maybe make a loud sound so everyone can come to help too.
They walk to the door, pull out a lockpicking kit, and start tinkering with the doorknob. A few seconds later, they get it open, and once they step inside, they open their hoods, revealing a blonde half-elf woman with a ponytail.
She walks toward Cezars and kicks him awake, "Wake up, did you seriously get captured by a bunch of amateurs like these?" She points toward the boys, still oblivious to the fact that they're no longer asleep anymore.
Cezars groans and snaps awake. "Ugh... who the heck are you...?"
"That doesn't matter, your aunt paid me to check on you." She crouches down, pulls out a dagger, and cuts the rope that binds Cezars open. The fire Genasi remains still, though, and he's somehow even more angry.
"Aunt? How about I pay you 8000 gold to tell her to shove a salt block up her—" The half-elf muffles Cezars' mouth with her hand before he can finish his sentence.
"Quiet down, you baboon! Do you want this entire establishment to know that I'm here!" She whispers angrily, "Get moving!"
Birute:
*Renar instantly opens his eyes as soon as he notices someone freeing Cezars* "Guys?! We've got company! Shugo! Alex! Someone wake up wolfy!" I whisper, hoping that either one of them also notice alongside me...
Action: *Dashes to the chest to retrieve his katana and...* Wait... wasn't that... *He flashbacks to the hooded figure he met last night* That piece of...! *His eyes widen* Wait... Daisy?! "What the-?! Who the hell are you?! And why are you-!"

Taliyah will slip her set of keys into her coat pocket, and then head into the sauna, where she sinks into the water with a content sigh. "Aaaaaah, this feels nice. Have either of you ladies been in a place like this before? I never saw anything like this back in Sehul, though I wish we had something like this there." She spends probably a good hour or two just soaking in the tub, since she doesn't have to worry about her skin getting all wrinkly like the others, after which she'll head up to the room she, Maya, and Venet will be sharing.
As soon as Shugo's sharp ears catch the sound of scuffling, he snaps out of his meditation. Even before Renar shouts at him, he's on his feet dashing to block the window. Luckily, as a martial artist, he does not use armor and is proficient with his fists. He is at a slight disadvantage without his blade, (AC is reduced to 14) but Cezars doesn't have his weapons either. So in the elf's mind, he has an advantage over the genasi and is probably on par with the woman. Hopefully one of the others are kind enough to toss him his sword if they move to get their own. If not, oh well. He'll just stall long enough for them to take these idiots.
"I'm sorry mam, but we can't let you take that fellow. He's been making false accusations, and harming innocent people. He needs to pay for his crimes." He says, smiling at the blonde woman. He flicks a hand, and suddenly a loud voice yells, "INTRUDER!" From right next to Wolfy's head.
Alexander listens to Renar as he tries to make sense of... well everything he said that hasn't made sense. Honestly, Renar's explanations still seemed a little... off...

Regardless of the outcome, he decides it's better not to press. Instead he says, "I get it. And honestly... I've been told a lot that I trust too easily..." He averts his eyes for a moment before putting another smile on his face and saying, "I understand that we haven't known each other long enough for you to trust me, but... well I can't expect you to trust me if I don't trust you, so that's a start I guess. I know it will take some time, but I'll prove to you that you can trust me. I won't judge you for your shapeshifting, and anyone who does should be ashamed of themselves. We live in a world where everyone is supposed to be accepted, but I get that there will always be some who think they are better than everyone else. I know I'm not one, but I know you don't know that yet." He shrugs, "But, if you ever feel like you want to talk, I'm here. After all, we are a party now, and we should look out for each other." He jabs a thumb at his own chest, "I promise I won't stab you in the back. Doing so would be like stabbing myself after all. I'm a Devotion Paladin, and in my book that doesn't just mean I'm devoted to God, I'm also devoted to my friends and anyone else who needs me."
He isn't really sure about this whole talk of second chances... as he isn't really sure what he's getting a second chance for.... had he done something wrong? He panics internally for a second before reminding himself that Renar had offered him the second chance in the first place--whatever it was for. "I wish I could meet that someone. It's been a long time since I've spoken with another paladin." He laughs, then accepts the change of subject when Renar asks about the showers. "Oh... yeah I wasn't sure about that either... that's why I offered to let the girls go first. Heh... Man I'm going to look kinda stupid if there are separate showers." He chuckles, and lets the conversation end there. Hopefully his actions over the next few weeks can show Renar that he is trustworthy--well, he'll just have to wait and see. For now, at least they left off on a decent note.

Once they are all showered and ready for bed, Alex falls asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow. Man, it's been a long, long time since he's been this tired.
Then he wakes up to the sound of scuffling, only to hear a woman's voice along with Cezars's and sees a person cutting the genasi's bonds. How had no one heard her until she managed to get so far! He leaps to his feet, hand groping for his sword. "Hey! Stop. I've got to take him to the Church!"He fumbles, realizing how strange those words probably sounded... the embarrassment is enough to delay him, and the sleepiness obscures his vision to where it takes him a moment to blink it away. Once his eyes cleared up, he grabs his sword and turns to face their opponents. Good Lord, they really should have come up with a better place to keep their prisoner. Whose idea had it been to leave him on the floor again?

"Quiet, pup!" The mysterious woman snaps back before she turns to Shugo and the boys. "How about you pay me instead?" She blows a raspberry,"Pfft, never mind that. Can you even afford rent?"
She places a hand on her hips,"I'm a mercenary, I will do anything for money, legal or not—with the exception of actually assassinating someone. If you want me to stop, I won't, because you all are probably too broke to pay my rates at a discount." He grabs Cezars by his wrist, "If you want my service next time, you know where to find me, I'll take my leave now~"She winks before she can dash outside, though, Maigurs steps in her way, a spear in his hand.
Round 1
"Not a single step forward!" He growls, his tail fur bristling. However, it seems to have the opposite effect.
"My, my..."The half-elf covers her mouth, giggling. "Did someone forget to feed you, pooch? How about I feed you this instead!?" She produces another dagger from her belt and stabs Maigurs twice in the chest. After that's done, she ducks over, and Cezars finish the combo with a jump kick to Maigurs' chest. He isn't trained in unarmed combat, but that wasn't his intention, anyway, his plan is to knock him prone so the two can escape.
Hit or miss, he lands beside the half-elf. "I've been waiting for this moment for so long, Maigurs! I'll enjoy seeing your face in the ground!"

No that's not Daisy; She's a full elf; This one's a half-elf. Either way... *Sees Maigurs get stabbed and dropkicked* "Dammit! Wolfy!"*He raises his hands as they glow yellow and unleash a lightning beam at Cezars. (DC 14 WIS or get paralyzed) "YAMERO! (やめろ! , STOP!) Shugo! Alex! Restrain the other one! Hurry!"
Shugo remains calm, but throws a couple punches at the woman in an attempt to daze her. He may be fit, but restraining people isn't his specialty...he really doesn't have much physical strength.
Alexander's eyes widen when the half-elf stabs Maigurs, "Hey! We all are just doing our jobs here, you have no right to..." Well, if she is a mercenary, then perhaps those are the wrong words to say. Shaking his head, he does his best to maintain his cool, in spite of the anger boiling up inside him...
He takes a swing at the half-elf's hand, trying to break her grip on Cezars and allow someone else to deal with the Genasi. Alex isn't particularly comfortable fighting without his armor on, but right now he can't risk trying to use command when there are two individuals who could help each other out, and he isn't sure how susceptible this woman would be to the magic. No, better to try and separate her from Cezars for now.

All the while, he yells at the top of his lungs, hoping to attract some help to their chambers--which hopefully will scare away their assailant, at least for a while.

"AHHH! What are you doing?" Maigurs yelps in surprise as her knives dig into his flesh, and then, he is knocked out off his feet by his former co-worker's dropkick "WAAH!". Blood splatters through the once-clean bedsheet. He slowly gets up with the support from his spear, "G-guys, do something, please!"
"You let these... probably illegal immigrants into our country, Maigurs. You'd get more than just a kick—"He ducks mid-sentence, avoiding the paralysing bolt from Renar, and his attention turns to him. "Don't interrupt me, you freak!"
What he does next, though... is a bit out of character for him. He runs to the door that leads to the balcony, kicks it open, and steps outside into the storm. From the way his firey hair fickles in the rain, the wind is way, way stronger than yesterday. "How am I supposed to escape, woman?! Do you have a boat or something!?
Meanwhile, not so far away, the lady spins her dagger and parries Alex's attack without looking. She reaches into her pocket, searching for something."I don't know... just steal a boat and get to Āleneskalns in one piece... or something. That's what the contract says! I'll buy as much time as I can, sweetie!" Āleneskalns is the capital of the Duchy of Varkalu, east of Kerwos Capital Territory and west of Nswodhros Sea. If he gets away, he won't get that far in this weather, and you know where to find him.
The half-elf pulls out a flask of grey powder, before she can do anything, though, Shugo's punch comes right at her. The first unarmed strike hits her face, in that split second, she instinctively holds her flask to block his second attack, but his punch goes through the glass and hits her face anyway.
In the instance the flask breaks, the silver powder erupts into an explosion, with a bang as loud as thunder itself, combined with a flash of light as bright as lightning.
That flask contains silver nitrate, a substance that was designed to replace gunpowder, but fell into disuse due to how bright its explosion is compared to gunpowder. It's still used in small quantities today as a flashbang.
The sound is so loud it causes everyone's ears to ring, including the girls next room and everyone else near the vicinity of the tavern. (The girls can join the combat now)

Sigh... That was a rather long wait. *If no one else is staying with Renar he will finally let his tail sway loose as it also reveals his katana placed onto the left side of his lap; If there is anyone else staying with him he won't do so* His brows furrow with concern* Am I really that weak still? I've trained so hard to improve my stamina and yet I still fall behind everyone else for some reason, including Okaa-san. What's going with my- *His Fox ears twitch upon noticing a hooded fellow* Hm? *He turns around slightly but not too much to attract his attention* What the... who is that? And... why is he... staring at... Stupid Rixi? *He pretends not to notice* Is he a friend or foe? I better keep an eye on him... *He notices the hooded person leaving without doing anything* Huh? Wha... wait... he just left?! Without even doing anything to Stupid Rixi?! Who is that?! And what are his or her motives? I really can't tell; Their hood is darker than even the feintest eclipse I've ever witnessed, and possibly far darker than mine for sure.
*If anyone else is with him*:
"What the... who's that, the one staring at our captive? Can you make out their face or something because I can't."
*As soon as Renar hears everyone else come back, especially his mother, he instantly swoops his katana underneath his jacket again, plus his tail if he's the only one staying* Finally they're back. I was getting kinda worried for them, especially Okaa-san... "How did it go?" I ask the others with a rather dry tone.
If anyone asks him if something incidental happens: "No, not really. I'm just relived he didn't wake up and tried to scorch the binds we placed on him. Though... Some hooded person came to see him." I pause for a moment to try and remember the details as best as I can. "I couldn't really determine what race he or she was. The hood was obscuring his or her face so I couldn't really determine what their intentions were up to. It's pretty strange though... they were staring at our captive but left without choosing to do anything. I have a gut feeling we might meet them again another day to if that's case.
Hmm... two rooms... three people plus an extra in one of them. Honestly, I know that Okaa-san's gonna do anything to make sure she gets to sleep with me I can easily feel it, but as long I stay far away from the other two girls I should be fine. As for the showers... well... uh... Yeah I mean I said I wanted to refresh myself but there are others in my presence! I'm still not gonna reveal my fox tail and ears to the others yet. No way in hell. Other than Okaa-san, I don't feel the slightest comfort with anyone else knowing that I'm just like the former even though they seem nice and friendly. Sorry guys. "Um... well... You guys go ahead with the showers. I can still keep a watch on... that... idiot. Then we can sort out who's gonna sleep with who and what not after that."

Maya heads out with the others to begin the evacuation process. Whilst she cooperated really well with the rest; She lacks muscle, so even carrying the non-perishable crates with her bare arms alone, coupled with the fact that she can't hold her umbrella to shield herself from the rain, felt like absolute agony, and causing her to makes a series of painful grunts throughout the entire task (and nearly drops one crate onto her bare ankles in the process). Despite all of this though, with some help of Venet, Taliyah and Alex, she manages to get the job done as she breathes a sigh of relief. She then gasps as the rain gets a thousand times worse. "Ah! Chū ni modorimashou! Isoide! (中に戻りましょう！急いで, Let's go back inside! Hurry!" She exclaims as she scampers back to the tavern before her entire dress all the way up to ginger hair becomes even more soaked.
She smiles briefly at this achievement before turning suddenly to her weary son. But after hearing his explanation, her cheeky smile morphs into one of confusion. "Eh? Hood? Uh..." She scratches one of her fox ears. "RIkai... dekimasen... (理解...できません, I don't... get it.)" Thankfully, as Maigurs reveals to keys, her smile instantly comes back. Also if there's anything the kitsune can can finally comprehend, it's the words 'key', 'sauna' and 'shower'. The thing that she needs the most. "Ah! Arigato, Maigurosu-kun!" In fact, whilst she has the opportunity before she showers and retains her pretty image... Also, her son seems hesitant on showering with the boys. Why is that? Or it because... you know what? *Activates Icebreaker mode*
"Renar-kun! Shawa O abite! Muri o shinaide kudasi! (シャワーを浴びる! 無理をしないでください, Go shower! Please don't push yourself!)" Maya then boldly announces as she deliberately shakes his hoodie and points to him, to the surprise of absolutely nobody. "Also... Watashi wa anata to... nemuritai! (私はあなたと... 眠りたい, I want to... sleep with you!)" She then flashes a teasy smile at him before noticing the showers and turning towards it to bathe... assuming that another one of the girls is holding the shower key, because she totally forgot that, despite her son's translations, it's locked.

Shugo nods to Venet, then listens to Renar's response. Well, seems like he REALLY doesn't want to help. Good, then he won't have to feel bad about staying behind either! ...Plus there'll be someone to share in the punishment should anything go wrong...Without changing his usual expression, the elf rises from his chair holding his sheathed sword in his right hand, sidles up to Renar and throws his left arm over the shifter's shoulders knowing full well that it would make him uncomfortable. "Well then! I'll stay here with you and watch the Hot-head! Better to have two guards watching that one anyway!"
He waves at the others when they leave to help with the evacuation, then promptly flops back down in his chair by the fire. He looks like he's taking a nap...even though elves don't need naps...but in reality he's keeping a pretty good watch on everyone in the room. He doesn't move when the hooded figure enters the tavern, but his eye twitches slightly when the person walks over to Cezars. He's prepared to jump to his feet should anything go wrong, but to his surprise the person just walks away. Hmm, odd.
In response to Renar, "No idea. Best to just keep ignoring them for now, don't let em know we noticed anything. If they come back we can confront them." He sounds utterly unconcerned when he says this.
Once everyone returns, he lets Renar explain what they saw and listens to what Wolf-boy has to say. Wow, he bought them rooms?! This kid is definitely going to be taken advantage of some day. When the question of who wants to sleep where comes up, he senses some discomfort...from no one in particular of course. "How's about the three girls in one room and us guy's in the other? That makes it easy. I also don't mind sleeping on the floor since it sounds like there are only three beds in each room." He chuckles, "I mean, not that I need to sleep. I am an elf after all."
He shrugs when Renar tells him and Alex to shower first. "Suit yourself. Just make sure you take one before bed! I sure don't want to have to smell you all night!" Then he swipes the bathroom key off the table and starts on his way to the shower.
Alex, now thoroughly tired, is eager to prepare for bed. He hesitates for a while, and then says, "Alright, thanks Maigurs! Uh... Shugo, Renar, how about you two and I share a room with Maigurs. That way the women can have their privacy? ..." He trails off when Maya begins making exclamations and pointing to Renar.
He looks to Venet and Taliyah, "You two and Maya can go first, we don't mind waiting." He looks to Shugo and Renar, "Right guys?" It was only polite to let the ladies go first.
Once everything settles down, he turns to Renar, "A hooded guy came to look at Cezars? That sounds a little suspicious... but he didn't do anything? Did you say anything to him?" He rubs his chin, "Thats... really weird. Hopefully he doesn't cause trouble for us down the line..." A sinking feeling grips his stomach--hopefully that person didn't have anything to do with the energy inside Cezars. No, it can't be. He's just being paranoid...right?
After a few moments, Alex pulls Renar aside, "Hey... uh... can I talk to you for a minute?"
If Renar agrees...
Alex hesitates, as if trying to figure out how to ask a question. Finally he says, "Sorry but... I have to ask. Are you really a changeling? I don't like to pry, as I don't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable or embarrassed, which is why I haven't pressed you about your hood and cloak that you always have on. But... well you told Maigurs when he checked your passport that your name was actually Renars, and that you were a half-elf, but they left off the 's' in your name and forgot to add a race? Yet, you've always gone by Renar... so I'm guessing that was a lie? Plus, your from Shugo's country, not this one, so... I mean are their names similar to the ones here? I know my name doesn't have an 's' on the end but... that's kinda standard for most guys around these parts." He hesitates, "Look, I trust you, but I just want to make sure you aren't... well, in danger or something. Even if you are a changeling, that doesn't matter and there's no reason to hide it. So... well it just makes me wonder if you've got someone looking for you or something? Someone you don't want to find you." He seems genuinely concerned, and hasn't even considered the fact that Renar could be an outlaw trying to stay undercover... likely partly because wearing a hood makes him all the more suspicious, but also because he's a generally trusting individual.
"If you don't want to tell me I get it, I just wanted to ask," he adds. "You're my friend, even if you're a bit on the shy side." He smiles, "And I just want to make sure that everything is going alright. ...also... What language does Maya use? I'm confused about... how you could know it? I mean, she a... well you know, so I just assumed she must have come from somewhere really secluded, which would explain the language barrier. But... you?" He gets excited for a moment as if something just crossed his mind, "Is it some ancient kitsune language that you rediscovered on a previous quest?!" He laughs, "Are you some sort of traveling scholar? That's cool if that's the case. I bet you've rediscovered all sorts of things then. Are you hiding your research until it's ready to be published?" That could explain his reasoning behind keeping himself covered, but it would be a flimsy excuse considering how suspicious it made him. Plus, if he was a traveling researcher, then... why does he seem so ignorant about the world? Alexander will just have to wait and see what he says.
He waits for a response, hoping he didn't push too hard. If he had, he hopes that Renar will forgive him.
Venet continues to be unbothered by the weather, and still seems full energy by the time they return to the tavern. The keys are presented, and she seems more intent on sauna time then caring about where she sleeps. "You can put me wherever."
She nods at Alex's words. "Well, what a gentlemen," she muses. She then follows after the fox woman after swiping a set of the keys, a small smile playing on her lips at the woman's forgetfulness.
Oh- yeah, yeah. Of course of course, to the surprise of absolutely nobody! Why are you trying to embarrass me in front of everyone else?! And... oh my god Okaa-san yamero! (Stop!) argh! *He grits his teeth as his mother ruffles his head before he forcefully flicks her away and translates what she said to the rest of the group with flushed cheeks* "Um... she's saying that I shouldn't push myself and also..." *He pinches himself to reduce his blush* "She apparently wants to sleep with me... but... Alex, you already said that the four boys would group together right?" I shake my head at Okaa-san. Sorry but, now's not the best time to go all lovey dovey on me...
"Neither me or Shugo dared to say anything to him. We didn't want to add fuel to the fire so we pretended not to notice him... or her... neither of us could tell. And also, the part where you said he doesn't cause trouble, wasn't that similar to what I just sort of said earlier?" I sarcastically mumble to myself as I wonder how long this façade can sustain me throughout the course of the journey to the ruins...
After a while though I noticed that even Shugo left to bathe himself. Honestly, I'm all for having privacy to myself. At least, until I feel Alex tugging me on the shoulder as soon as everyone else has departed. "Yeah? What's up?"
I felt the stone in my stomach sink even deeper to my bowel and intestines as Alex tries to pry my actual identity. I'm so thankful he chose an appropriate time to uh... *His hands tremble as he does his best to at least maintain his disguise for a longer period of time* Well... I can't say that we're actual friends yet. Having lived an isolated and distrustful life, I'm not the type of kitsune to consider you a friend after three days; You need to prove to me that you can maintain this bond for me, and show that you won't stab me in the back even as I reveal my secrets one day. And I'm fully aware that this can take weeks since I prefer to be by myself. Anyways...
"Uh... um... well..." Come on, Raiden. Breathe. Imagine if Rixi or Yuri were here; Imagine the being able to understand your reasoning. "Y-y-yeah. I'm actually a changeling. The only reason why I let the half-elf thing slide at the toll was because I had forgot what the actual race was until that... Stupid fellow... blurted it out. And no... Renar had always been my actual name. I mean... I was previously called 'Renars' but the 's' sounded kind of funny to me, so I dropped it altogether." How ironic though. In Japan, the word Renar sounds like a girl's name at best, so to actually try and cover my act up with this stupid lie... sigh... at least I'm not one to crack under pressure unlike Xenia or even Daisy. "And yeah... I... uh... I am from Prihiyeh but sometimes you know... one can go off his family's roots sometimes yeah? Plus I never knew that Shugo was indeed of a royal family in there..." What am I even saying?! I'm actually not from Prihiyeh and even to this day I'm still trying to understand what the heck that country is all about!
*He hears Alex saying that he trusts him* Hmm? You trust me? Even after we've only been together for three days? Yeah... uh... unfortunately for you, I'm not that person who trust easily... I stare at Alex with a sullen expression, but then mellow a bit after noticing his concern. "To me... um...sorry to burst your bubble but... I don't trust easily like you; wherever I go, every person I see is either none of my concern or just another batch waiting to shun me for my... "shapeshifting" habits. I do my best to keep a low profile to avoid garnering the wrong kind of attention. If you say that you're on my side, I want... no... I need you... to show that I can trust you, over the next few weeks we're travelling together. If you really are my friend, I hope you wouldn't stab in the back at some point in the future; I need you prove that you won't. *Deep breath as he rubs his clawed knuckles* So far, you remind me of someone who's not only equally as young as you are but is also the same class as you and has given me a second chance in this world. So... now's my turn... to reciprocate that chance to you."
*Overhears Alex's enthusiasm about his new language* "Hmm... I mean yeah, you're not wrong. This fox woman... she's a kitsune right? So I'm theorizing that she must have been in some secluded place where her 'changeling language' must be common. I mean, yeah, I only picked the language up out of sheer curiosity, through various ancient texts in a library heheh. Apparently her language does have a name, but I'm not sure what it's called yet. I'm still looking to find out about it. And uh... a scholar maybe? Yeah that's right. I want to document my findings o the ruins too. That's another goal I'm after." I'm not actually a travelling scholar. In fact I'm never keen on writing books, let alone reports, at all so this is... well... I mean I do have two separate books but that doesn't make me one does it? "I mean, I'm only just starting so I don't really have much to hide at the moment. But maybe, if we do end up with these random encounters on the way, I suppose I could...?" *He trails off* Gosh this sounds a lot more exhausting than I thought it would be, trying to make up a bunch of excuses just to keep my true identity as another kitsune safe...
Speaking of which... I forgot to ask if the showers are single or multi person. Wolfie didn't really explain it in detail did he? "Uh... Alex... Are the showers single or multi person? If they're single I probably need to go... ACHOO!"

"Right! Boy's room and girl's room, then, just like the good old days!" He tosses a key to Taliyah, "Good night and sweet dreams, girls!" He winks.
You ascend upstairs to the first floor where all the rooms are. That's pretty much it, taverns like these have two or three floors maximum, they aren't a dedicated hotel and stacking floors too high could make it prone to collapse.
For non-Perkwunosite natives, at first, you thought there was no bathroom in this establishment at first, but when you see people in robes coming and going, that's when you realise there is, in fact, two: the men's bathroom has no 'man in trousers' symbol to indicate this is for male, instead, it's represented with a picture of a chrysanthemum. The women's bathroom has something similar too, it's represented with a picture of a rose.
The bathrooms are split into two sections: multi-person baths and sauna. It is dead quiet in both men's and women's bathrooms and not a single person can be seen... except you, of course. There is a large wooden tub in the centre of the bath, filled with steamy, warm water. The sauna is what you'd expect, there is a hole in the wall filled with hot stones, you give it a splash of water, and steam will come from it. On the wall is a thermometer in Kelvin scale, it's a familiar sight for anyone born in Lancea.
After you're all done with the sauna and bath, you head to your room, the boy's room is the only one with a balcony, and the girl's room is to the boy's room's right (On top of where Cezars' token is on the battle map). Maigurs tosses Cezars (Who still remains unconscious) on the floor, jumps on the bed, and falls asleep immediately. You all put your armour and weapons in a chest on the other end of the room too (highlighted in green on the map), it'd be uncomfortable sleeping with those still strapped to your bodies.
The moment your head touches your pillow, you also fall asleep very quickly just like Maigurs (except for Shugo, who's an elf). Today was probably one of the most eventful days in your life up to this point. You fought Cezars in the morning, trek through a cyclone in the afternoon, and lug around crates in the evening. It's simply an appetiser for what's about to come, because tomorrow will be an even bigger day.

Alex, Renar, and Shugo hear something shuffling in the dark, you turn your head up and see a hooded figure standing on the balcony. It's still raining outside, but they don't seem to be bothered by it at all. Maigurs is still sleeping soundly as ever, you'll need to shake him up to wake him up, or maybe make a loud sound so everyone can come to help too.
They walk to the door, pull out a lockpicking kit, and start tinkering with the doorknob. A few seconds later, they get it open, and once they step inside, they open their hoods, revealing a blonde half-elf woman with a ponytail.
She walks toward Cezars and kicks him awake, "Wake up, did you seriously get captured by a bunch of amateurs like these?" She points toward the boys, still oblivious to the fact that they're no longer asleep anymore.
Cezars groans and snaps awake. "Ugh... who the heck are you...?"
"That doesn't matter, your aunt paid me to check on you." She crouches down, pulls out a dagger, and cuts the rope that binds Cezars open. The fire Genasi remains still, though, and he's somehow even more angry.
"Aunt? How about I pay you 8000 gold to tell her to shove a salt block up her—" The half-elf muffles Cezars' mouth with her hand before he can finish his sentence.
"Quiet down, you baboon! Do you want this entire establishment to know that I'm here!" She whispers angrily, "Get moving!"

"Eh?! Naze?! (Why?!) Meanie!" Maya pouts as she turns away from him and tries to open the bathroom door... and realised its locked. "Eh? Naze... Argh! Open! Why can't I...?!"
Maya instantly blushes in embarrassment. How did she not notices that she needed a key to open the door to the shower?! "Oh... um... Gomen nasai... (ごめん なさい..., Sorry...)" She whispers in embarrassment before she slips into the woman's baths and immediately dips into one of the showers in there. After cleaning herself as well as using the borrowed brush to scrub her nine tails clean, she dips into the centre bath and stretches her arms into the air; unless if anyone attempts to strike a conversation with her, she will remain silent for the duration of her bath. Afterwards, once she's done, she uses her magic to clean her dress before neatly folding it and putting on a red kimono before following the others to their rooms.
Inside the room, Maya's still frustrated that she's not permitted to sleep with her son. Seriously, why can't she have some downtime with him even for one second? Whatever. Before she heads into the woman's bedroom's though, she takes a moment to glance at Renar... who neatly stashes his katana before the doors close on her. Aha! So it is Raiden after all! She's really thankful all the more less that he's doing fine. Technically speaking, Kitsunes don't need to sleep either, but the 6 hundred year old woman does feel a little sluggish nonetheless. "Yawn... Oyasumi (おやすみ, Good night)..." She lets out before she places herself on a bed and tucks her tail around her body before she enters a trance-like state to replenish herself.

I watch as everyone else goes into the shower before me. Once I hear that they're done, I can finally at least break free of my disguise... *As soon as he confirms that he's alone in the men's baths, he takes off his outfit and immediately jumps into the bath where he lets his tail sway loose* Ahh... that was a nice bath. It's so nice to break free from the shackles of my cramped and soaked hoodie. And honestly, I feel so much now. Absolutely exquisite! *He gets and briefly dries himself and his tail before putting back on his disguise, which is a new change of clothes, before he heads back into the room to stow away his katana; Once again his fox ears and tail remain unseen by the rest* "Yawn... well... time to get some rest." And indeed. I hope this rest would help us rejuvenate us better in order to maintain our wills at finding the ruins.
At least... that's what I thought the night would be... Because that's when I heard something that sent shivers up my tail...
*Renar instantly opens his eyes as soon as he notices someone freeing Cezars* "Guys?! We've got company! Shugo! Alex! Someone wake up wolfy!" I whisper, hoping that either one of them also notice alongside me...
Action: *Dashes to the chest to retrieve his katana and...* Wait... wasn't that... *He flashbacks to the hooded figure he met last night* That piece of...! *His eyes widen* Wait... Daisy?! "What the-?! Who the hell are you?! And why are you-!"

Taliyah will slip her set of keys into her coat pocket, and then head into the sauna, where she sinks into the water with a content sigh. "Aaaaaah, this feels nice. Have either of you ladies been in a place like this before? I never saw anything like this back in Sehul, though I wish we had something like this there." She spends probably a good hour or two just soaking in the tub, since she doesn't have to worry about her skin getting all wrinkly like the others, after which she'll head up to the room she, Maya, and Venet will be sharing.
As soon as Shugo's sharp ears catch the sound of scuffling, he snaps out of his meditation. Even before Renar shouts at him, he's on his feet dashing to block the window. Luckily, as a martial artist, he does not use armor and is proficient with his fists. He is at a slight disadvantage without his blade, (AC is reduced to 14) but Cezars doesn't have his weapons either. So in the elf's mind, he has an advantage over the genasi and is probably on par with the woman. Hopefully one of the others are kind enough to toss him his sword if they move to get their own. If not, oh well. He'll just stall long enough for them to take these idiots.
"I'm sorry mam, but we can't let you take that fellow. He's been making false accusations, and harming innocent people. He needs to pay for his crimes." He says, smiling at the blonde woman. He flicks a hand, and suddenly a loud voice yells, "INTRUDER!" From right next to Wolfy's head.
Alexander listens to Renar as he tries to make sense of... well everything he said that hasn't made sense. Honestly, Renar's explanations still seemed a little... off...

Regardless of the outcome, he decides it's better not to press. Instead he says, "I get it. And honestly... I've been told a lot that I trust too easily..." He averts his eyes for a moment before putting another smile on his face and saying, "I understand that we haven't known each other long enough for you to trust me, but... well I can't expect you to trust me if I don't trust you, so that's a start I guess. I know it will take some time, but I'll prove to you that you can trust me. I won't judge you for your shapeshifting, and anyone who does should be ashamed of themselves. We live in a world where everyone is supposed to be accepted, but I get that there will always be some who think they are better than everyone else. I know I'm not one, but I know you don't know that yet." He shrugs, "But, if you ever feel like you want to talk, I'm here. After all, we are a party now, and we should look out for each other." He jabs a thumb at his own chest, "I promise I won't stab you in the back. Doing so would be like stabbing myself after all. I'm a Devotion Paladin, and in my book that doesn't just mean I'm devoted to God, I'm also devoted to my friends and anyone else who needs me."
He isn't really sure about this whole talk of second chances... as he isn't really sure what he's getting a second chance for.... had he done something wrong? He panics internally for a second before reminding himself that Renar had offered him the second chance in the first place--whatever it was for. "I wish I could meet that someone. It's been a long time since I've spoken with another paladin." He laughs, then accepts the change of subject when Renar asks about the showers. "Oh... yeah I wasn't sure about that either... that's why I offered to let the girls go first. Heh... Man I'm going to look kinda stupid if there are separate showers." He chuckles, and lets the conversation end there. Hopefully his actions over the next few weeks can show Renar that he is trustworthy--well, he'll just have to wait and see. For now, at least they left off on a decent note.

Once they are all showered and ready for bed, Alex falls asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow. Man, it's been a long, long time since he's been this tired.
Then he wakes up to the sound of scuffling, only to hear a woman's voice along with Cezars's and sees a person cutting the genasi's bonds. How had no one heard her until she managed to get so far! He leaps to his feet, hand groping for his sword. "Hey! Stop. I've got to take him to the Church!" He fumbles, realizing how strange those words probably sounded... the embarrassment is enough to delay him, and the sleepiness obscures his vision to where it takes him a moment to blink it away. Once his eyes cleared up, he grabs his sword and turns to face their opponents. Good Lord, they really should have come up with a better place to keep their prisoner. Whose idea had it been to leave him on the floor again?
"AHHHHH!" Maigurs shoots up from his bed and yells back, startled, the wolf Shifter turns his head to Cezars and the mysterious lady.
"Quiet, pup!" The mysterious woman snaps back before she turns to Shugo and the boys. "How about you pay me instead?" She blows a raspberry, "Pfft, never mind that. Can you even afford rent?"
She places a hand on her hips, "I'm a mercenary, I will do anything for money, legal or not—with the exception of actually assassinating someone. If you want me to stop, I won't, because you all are probably too broke to pay my rates at a discount." He grabs Cezars by his wrist, "If you want my service next time, you know where to find me, I'll take my leave now~" She winks before she can dash outside, though, Maigurs steps in her way, a spear in his hand.

"Not a single step forward!" He growls, his tail fur bristling. However, it seems to have the opposite effect.
"My, my..." The half-elf covers her mouth, giggling. "Did someone forget to feed you, pooch? How about I feed you this instead!?" She produces another dagger from her belt and stabs Maigurs twice in the chest. After that's done, she ducks over, and Cezars finish the combo with a jump kick to Maigurs' chest. He isn't trained in unarmed combat, but that wasn't his intention, anyway, his plan is to knock him prone so the two can escape.
Hit or miss, he lands beside the half-elf. "I've been waiting for this moment for so long, Maigurs! I'll enjoy seeing your face in the ground!"

Alexander's eyes widen when the half-elf stabs Maigurs, "Hey! We all are just doing our jobs here, you have no right to..." Well, if she is a mercenary, then perhaps those are the wrong words to say. Shaking his head, he does his best to maintain his cool, in spite of the anger boiling up inside him...
He takes a swing at the half-elf's hand, trying to break her grip on Cezars and allow someone else to deal with the Genasi. Alex isn't particularly comfortable fighting without his armor on, but right now he can't risk trying to use command when there are two individuals who could help each other out, and he isn't sure how susceptible this woman would be to the magic. No, better to try and separate her from Cezars for now.

"AHHH! What are you doing?" Maigurs yelps in surprise as her knives dig into his flesh, and then, he is knocked out off his feet by his former co-worker's dropkick "WAAH!". Blood splatters through the once-clean bedsheet. He slowly gets up with the support from his spear, "G-guys, do something, please!"
"You let these... probably illegal immigrants into our country, Maigurs. You'd get more than just a kick—" He ducks mid-sentence, avoiding the paralysing bolt from Renar, and his attention turns to him. "Don't interrupt me, you freak!"
What he does next, though... is a bit out of character for him. He runs to the door that leads to the balcony, kicks it open, and steps outside into the storm. From the way his firey hair fickles in the rain, the wind is way, way stronger than yesterday. "How am I supposed to escape, woman?! Do you have a boat or something!?
Meanwhile, not so far away, the lady spins her dagger and parries Alex's attack without looking. She reaches into her pocket, searching for something. "I don't know... just steal a boat and get to Āleneskalns in one piece... or something. That's what the contract says! I'll buy as much time as I can, sweetie!" Āleneskalns is the capital of the Duchy of Varkalu, east of Kerwos Capital Territory and west of Nswodhros Sea. If he gets away, he won't get that far in this weather, and you know where to find him.
The half-elf pulls out a flask of grey powder, before she can do anything, though, Shugo's punch comes right at her. The first unarmed strike hits her face, in that split second, she instinctively holds her flask to block his second attack, but his punch goes through the glass and hits her face anyway.
In the instance the flask breaks, the silver powder erupts into an explosion, with a bang as loud as thunder itself, combined with a flash of light as bright as lightning.
That flask contains silver nitrate, a substance that was designed to replace gunpowder, but fell into disuse due to how bright its explosion is compared to gunpowder. It's still used in small quantities today as a flashbang.
The sound is so loud it causes everyone's ears to ring, including the girls next room and everyone else near the vicinity of the tavern. (The girls can join the combat now)

Hit or miss, all creatures within 90 ft that can see the explosion must make a DC14 Constitution save or be blinded for 2 turns, including her allies—She has an advantage when throwing a Constitution save from blindness.
