Delvindra goggles at Yasmina's audacity to ask for horses and a carriage, only to be absolutely floored by the high priest's ascent. Feeling out of her element she listens silently to the others discussions, content to follow with whatever the group decides.
"You are truly a dear person Mr. Alaion!" exclaims Duwamilly, grateful for the High Priest's generosity; after the temple had already benefited them so much, she did not expect further concessions... evidently, these pious people feel embarrassed for not having been able to directly remove the heavy curses that weigh on this group of so 'unfortunate' petitioners! Or maybe Yasmina exerts a certain charm on the elderly holy elf (the half-elf girl actually has an excellent way of presenting herself... as well as a certain innate mysterious southern grace and elegance). Anyway, an excellent result!
"Now, Mr. Alaion, it is clear that at the moment I am not at all able to reciprocate in any way all that you have done for me and these good kids," the gnome admits "but I still want to leave you a small gift, just as symbol of my gratitude! Here!" she gives him the Music Box she created at dinner "And don't you dare refuse! Listen to its music as long as you can... because, without maintenance (and I don't think you have anyone here capable of carrying it out) the device will fail soon to work. But even when that happens, you can always keep it as a souvenir! See? I built it to look like my cube! If Frinion comes back to visit you, maybe you can even wave it under his nose to tease or scare him!" she giggles at the idea "And, of course, every time I come back to visit you, I'll get it working again - waiting to one day being able to offer you as much help as you've given us".
"Alright, kids!" the ex-Preceptor addresses her companions, making crystal clear she can't wait to leave "Shall we start our carriage journey?"
The red-haired half-elf nods and smiles in agreement with the talkative ex-preceptor gnome. The high priest had been quite helpful all things considered but she had the feeling he had his reason for that. He was most likely quite interested in seeing the powerful artefacts not getting into the hands of the dark archmage for instance. As Duwamilly offers her peculiar music box in appreciation Yasmina looks down, realizing the only things she had of any real value was just given to her by the bearded elf.
With a smile and a nod, the red-haired half-elf announces she is ready to depart for that port, feeling quite pleased over going with a carriage rather than walking.
Our intrepid heroes begin their journey. The carriage is relatively simple and minimalistic, as could be expected of the Ilmatari, but it is large enough to carry all of you and the horses are well-trained.
You decide against joining a caravan, perhaps because you fear putting others in anger, or because you worry that a caravan might travel more slowly than you would on your own. For several hours, the ride is peaceful (excepting perhaps a very talkative gnome...)
But as it approaches midday, clouds bein to gather. Soon you find yourselves in the pouring rain, which is making it difficult to proceed (I'll need either an Animal Handling or Vehicles (Land) check to keep going through the storm...)

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
(OOC: Really, DM!? There is another gnome, but they, unlike Duwamilly, are very talkative!? Duwamilly immediately tries to chat with them! Lol! However 'very talkative' is not an especially distinctive trait... all gnomes are!)
Duwamilly isn't too bothered by the rain... "Do you know, kids, the one about the crow and Talos? It's starting to rain... The crow says to himself, 'Well, I keep flying... It can't rain all the time...' and Talos replies from above the stormy clouds: 'Shall we bet?' "
Noticing, however, that the animals instead seem disturbed, she sighs, briefly gives thanks with a prayer to Garl Glittergold, then tries to convince the good animals that, after all, it would be better to continue anyway.
Is it enough? If not, Duwamilly will at least grant Guidance (+1d4 to the check) also to anyone else who wants to try something to allow us to continue...

Honestly... Duwamilly probably had the best chance... if someone wants to retroactively take the Help action I will allow that to let you roll a second time.

Fairly bothered by the rain but not wanting the kind gnome to face it by herself, Yasmina sits beside the rein-holding ex-preceptor, her cloak pulled close, doing her best to calm the nervous carriage horses.
Very good. After a few minutes of struggle, Duwamilly and Yasmina manage to coax the horses to continue, amazingly doing so with no significant loss of speed.
But after another mile or so plodding along, you notice a figure in the distance... there seems to be someone lying in the mud near the edge of the road. In the pouring rain, you can't make out much detail...
What do you do?

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Look, there's someone in need of help ahead..."Yasmina says and points out the body, still sitting next to the gnome driving. "...it could be a trap though, be wary."She adds, her eyes peeled for an ambush.

Grateful for Yasmina's help, Duwamilly smiles: "Thank you so much, Yasmina, honey! If you hadn't suggested me to slow down the pace of the words, perhaps those animals would never have been convinced... You were right, they love when you talk to them slowly and calmly. Look how they're doing now!"
Seeing the figure in possible difficulty, the gnome cleric agrees: "Yes, kids, it could be someone who needs help... but it could also be an attacker who wants to set a trap for us. The world is a place where not always we can trust everyone... Let's see if I can better understand which of the two situations we find ourselves in!" after which, [spell] Guidance; a short prayer arises on her lips [/ spell] "Grant me but a fraction of thy wit, sire. It is all one could need!" and she tries to identify any pitfalls or threats...

If there is something wrong, we act accordingly... otherwise, if he just seems like a poor guy in difficulty, Duwamilly declares: "No, no danger! He's just a poor guy in need! Let's help him!" and she approaches him. If he is just unconscious, he tries to revive him, but if he has obvious injuries he casts a healing spell on him.

If Cal is told of the Lich’s story, he would immediately relate. His new life mission was birthed from the death of his daughter and wife.
Feel free to roll a Perception check if you wanted to join Duwamilly in eavesdropping.

Well, let' see if it matters: Duwamilly's 2nd Animal Handling (with Guidance): 25
Well... it seems a little help could have a great impact

Delvindra doesn't hesitate. Despite the other's caution, she hops from the carriage and hurries over to render aide.
Cal joins to assist where he can!
