Avery is able to find his way out of the magical darkness and comes out into the room. So is the plan to all go down the hall with your heavies up front? It will take a couple turns but we can just fast forward to that bit. If anyone wanted to do some kind of preparation you can also cast buffing spells in that time if you want.
Yes, Xanrym is on board with pressing the attack. As long as the southern chamber doesn't have more opponents, he thinks that they can finish off the harpy.
Xanrym is going to concentrate on Calm Emotions for as long as he can, so he doesn't have concentration for his other buff (Heroism). He's also trying to save spell slots for Healing Word.
Xanrym is still thinking about how to keep the harpy on the ground so that Liarin and Avery can fight her at close range. Does Liarin still carry a Hunting Trap? "Maybe we could use that to keep the harpy from flying away," Xanrym suggests. If the pillars are wooden, Xanrym could hammer a piton into a pillar and then someone could try to shove or grapple + drag the harpy into the trap. Then she'd be stuck on the ground unless she uses her action to escape from the trap.
If we don't want to use the trap, maybe Liarin can help Xanrym tie a slip knot in his rope. If we can get the harpy on the ground for even 1 round, we could try to throw the rope over her wings to keep her from flying off.
"Or maybe it's just better to forget that and focus all of our effort on attacking her?", Xanrym asks.
(OOC: If Mage Hand doesn't attract the harpy's attention, and the party isn't having Xanrym hammer in a piton or anything like that, he may try something with a Minor Illusion as they approach the southern chamber. Maybe a noise to make it sound like the party left through the X-marked doors? Or maybe just a really loud / distracting peal of trumpets near the ceiling in the harpy's parlor?)
So you take 2 rounds to go down the hall to the next room. As you leave the first room, you notice the Darkness spell drops.
You all are up coming into Araphise's Nest. Who is going into the room first? And are you all together or staying apart still?
Xanrym encourages Avery and Liarin to enter the room and move to the middle / away from the door with readied attacks if the harpy gets within range. They could stay close together so that they both get a chance to hit the harpy if she swoops down, but that may mean that they both end up in covered in darkness. But if they're at least 15' into the room, the darkness won't cover anyone near the doorway. Theldrin, Xanrym, and Toska could remain near the entrance and attack with spells / ranged attacks as soon as they see the harpy.
When they approach the next chamber, Xanrym is sneaking alond the eastern wall. Once he's within 30 ft. of the opening to the next chamber, he casts a Minor Illusion of a 5 ft. cube of tangled thorny vines. It "blocks" the eastern 5 ft. of the entrance to the next chamber. Xanrym will hide inside/behind this illusion until someone in the party enters the chamber.
Round 5 - move into the tunnel, cast Minor Illusion at doorway ahead.
Round 6 - move up to the entrance of the next chamber, and Hide behind / in the illusion Stealth18
On the round when they're at the chamber, and anyone is ready to go into the harpy's parlor, Xanrym is hopefully already hidden. If he can see the harpy, he'll plan to attack her. If she's not visible, he'll wait and ready an attack with his crossbow as soon as he sees the harpy.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Theldrin will attempt to move into the closest area where Araphise is visible and shoot a Fire Bolt at her. If he has any movement left he will then try to duck back out of sight.
As Avery steps into the room Araphise casts her final Darkness spell at him. He is once again shrouded in magical darkness, this time at the entrance to the harpy's lair. He hears her speaking, "Yes, yes, right into the web. Come, pretty knight and let me show you my hospitality"
You all are up. You all see Avery enveloped in darkness ahead of you. He's used his movement for this turn but the rest of you can still move if you want.

(OOC: OK. Adjusting Xanrym's round 7 action once the harpy cast a spell. I also noticed that I was off-by-one in the concentration duration.)
Xanrym: Round 7
Seeing the Darkness descend, Xanrym is desperate to break the harpy's concentration so that they party can fight without that disadvantage. He knows that the Darkness shouldn't cover much more than the northern end of the chamber (assuming that it's a 20' wide opening like the other end of the tunnel). Xanrym moves into the room toward the northeast corner. Once he gets out of the darkness, he looks up, and if he can see the harpy, he fires his crossbow at her.
Since the harpy seems content to cast a spell this round, Xanrym calls out to Liarin in Elvish, "Set the trap, and Toska can hammer it in!"
(OOC: I had mentioned using Liarin's Hunting Trap to try to keep the harpy on the ground. We'll still have to shove her into it when she swoops down to attack, but if we get her stuck in the trap, Liarin-bear and Avery will have a much easier time. I'm assuming that Xanrym handed off the hammer and piton to Toska to affix the chain to one of the columns.)
Movement: Move into the room, feeling along the eastern wall of the tunnel and then east along the parlor's northern wall to head for the northeast corner of the room and then move south from there if he has movement left. Action: Attack, Crossbow, Light (80/320): 12, Damage: 8 (piercing) Free Action: Talking. Reloading crossbow.
Theldrin's Firebolt shoots into the darkness and you hear it hit a wall in the next room harmlessly. Xanrym runs through the darkness and sees Araphise on the roof above looking down into the darkness, ready to drop. He notices a film appearing over her eyes, perhaps to see clearly in the magical darkness.
Avery and Liarin are up. Avery is still in the magical darkness having used his movement, and Araphise will drop on him on her turn.
Avery will move so his back is to a wall, feeling his way but being at the ready. he knows she will try to ambush him as he is making his way out of the darkness.
So Avery has used his movement for this round walking into the room. You can try to use a ranged attack on Araphise through the darkness if you want, but you'll be in the darkness until the start of next turn.
Liarin throws her new staff to the ground, summoning a giant constrictor snake. She mentally commands the snake to stand near Avery and ready an action to wrap around the harpy, attempting to grapple it. [[+6 to hit, 2d8+4 bludgeoning, automatically grappled, restrained while grappled, escape DC 16]]
[[Snake goes on its own initiative, don't know how you want to handle that, here is its attack roll if the harpy gets close enough to strike. Attack: 24 Damage: 12]]

Avery will head into the lair

(@Charwoman_Gene - you can assume that Xanrym left at least 3 of his darts with Liarin in case she wants to use those against the harpy.)
Avery will move so his back is to a wall, feeling his way but being at the ready. he knows she will try to ambush him as he is making his way out of the darkness.
