Xanrym is impressed that he managed to avoid attacks from both of the attackers. While the men and their scimitars occupies his attention, Xanrym knows that he saw Misha in the room when they first opened the door. He calls back to her, "Abandon your foul work here, Misha! This man is under our protection."
Hearing Lldryk's approach, Xanrym decides to make room for the fighter. He disengages from the cultists, using Theldrin's spell as his moment to slip to the side and then back out of the hallway and just inside his bedroom. He sheaths his sword as he moves since he's no longer at melee range.
As Lldryk passes him, Xanrym says, "Like the heroes of old, you arrive just in time. May your flashing swords match the wrath in your eyes!"
Movement: 15' movement: 5' away to the side (east?) and then 10' back (north?) to end just inside his own bedroom and out of the hallway Action: disengage to avoid opportunity attacks Bonus Action: Grant bardic inspiration to Lldryk Give one creature within 60ft who can hear Xanrym an inspiration die: 1d6. In the next 10 mins, Lldryk can roll the die once and add the number to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw. Free Action: Talking, Item interaction - sheathing shortsword (if possible, also sheath dagger)
Ok, the goon will take a swipe at you. Attack: 6 Damage: 5 Slashing.
Then he cops a firebolt straight to hit torso. It connects and he screams in agony as he drops to the floor dead.
Xanrym and Lldryk up.
(OOC: @drumdigby, note that "If the goon doesn't attack or the attack misses", Theldrin wasn't going to use firebolt. In that case, he was trying to attack Misha with magic missile. Or if he cannot see her, he's distributing the magic missiles among the cultists that he can see. I assume that a 6 attack roll will fail to hit even a wizard's base AC!)
Good point, thanks for pointing out i missed that. I assumed that Shield would go off before knowing if the attack hit or not, but reading the description it specifically says that it only goes off after you are hit with an attack. I didn't know Theldrin's AC but you're right that i would have known 6 wouldn't have hit. Let's split the difference in the confusion. Theldrin, you did cast Firebolt and kill the goon, but you still have your spell slot for next round as you wouldn't have had to use the Shield spell.

Nice, works for me... goon down and still have a 1st level slot. :)

The bandit nearest to the door goes down with a slice across the neck.
The next goon gets a slash across the arm, he looks worriedly at Derek who spits at him, "Just get Malcott up and help me deal with these ****ers!". The bandit does just that, and his now awake friend and Derek come at Lldryk with their swords.
Misha is exasperated, "Can you just kill this lot already? Kill them now!" She casts Bless on the three men, they all get to add a d4 to their attack rolls. Their auras shine with a green energy.

When Lldryk collapses, Xanrym realizes that they're in danger of losing the fight -- and possibly Lldryk himself -- to these cultists. He casts a spell to heal Lldryk and hopefully give the ranger a chance to get out of the room. Then Xanrym casts a spell, mocking scarface and one of the other cultists.
Movement: None Action: Spend one sorcery point on Twin Spell to cast Vicious Mockery, Two (because of Twin Spell) targets within 60 ft range. Cultist in the center of the room: WIS 13 save or take 4 psychic damage and have disadvantage on the next attack roll he makes before the end of its next turn. Theldrin takes a step over to his right, moving behind Liarin so he can get a better view of Derek. He casts Magic Missile sending all three glowing darts at Derek.
Xanrym needs line-of-sight to target someone with the spell. If he cannot see scarface, I should have said that he'll move out of his room and toward the end of the hall, if needed, to get line-of-sight on scarface. In that case, he uses 20' of movement (counting moving through Theldrin's square as difficult terrain) and would end his turn next to both Theldrin and Liarin.

Back to the top of the round, Liarin is up.
Group 1: Liarin
Group 2: Misha
Group 3: Xanrym, Theldrin, and Lldryk
Group 4: Derek, Malcott and the last goon
Just had to edit because i forgot to include something
Liarin moves behind Lldryk and attacks the goon on the left with her scimitar. Attack: 7 Damage: 4
Coriana - Company of the Grey Chain
Wagner - Dragon Heist: Bards.
DM - The Old Keep
Liarin is stabbing her scimitar beside Lldryk and can't quite get her sword through far enough to get to Malcott.
Misha is exasperated, "Can you just kill this lot already? Kill them now!" She casts Bless on the three men, they all get to add a d4 to their attack rolls. Their auras shine with a green energy.
(Is Lldryk down?)
(OOC: I was going to ask the same question. I'm pretty sure that scarface knocked out Lldryk last round.)

"You must doubt your swordsmanship not to face us one-on-one."
(OOC: I changed my mind about his action this round, but I forgot to change that line.)
Once he casts his spells, Xanrym starts shouting loudly, "Help! Thieves at the Inn! Out of bed! Thieves and murders!"
Free Action: Shouting
