“Thank you for the information. A room would be greatly appreciated.”
Khessa pats Es Sarch on the shoulder enthusiastically: "Thank you! We accept the offer! Tomorrow we will be in great shape and we will start taking care of what interests you."
"Perhaps it would be best if we stick together while getting our bearings here in this strange city?" Theldrin suggests. "We could all venture to the markets, even first thing in the morning after we rest?"
Khessa agrees with Theldrin's prudent advice and sees no problem with Coriana's request: "Very well! Let's go together then... Then, as soon as you have the scimitar, Coriana, we can leave the room to you - and as soon as you've finished what you have to do, you let us know and we'll go in too."
Xanrym is fine either way, going together tonight or in the "morning." They shouldn't waste time, but he's sure that they can spare 1 hour after the trip to the market and before rowing out to Rikaryon's Isle: "It's not like we need to get an early start to avoid the mid-day sun."
The server comes over and touches Es Sarch's hand, and then stands next to him, "My servers are preparing two rooms for you now, and they will be ready for you in just a few minutes, I'd suggest you stay in the inn for the evening as I have been told there may be a disturbance in the alley tonight between some of the members of the Inheritors and agents of House Dusklorn. Have no fear under this roof though, I go to great lengths to ensure there is no bloodshed at the Dripstone." And when he says this, you see that the crazed derro is giving his crew a inspired yet nonsensical speech, while the drow at the other end of the room are checking their blades and armor.
After a few minutes the servers lead you to your rooms, one of which faces the alley behind the inn while the other faces the front of the building. Each room has a bunk and one single bed. Who's staying in which room?
Theldrin will stay in the front room and will offer to sleep on the floor on his bedroll. He keeps an eye on what's transpiring out front for a while, summoning Dusk from his pocket dimension and sending him to the window.
Theldrin smiles with a good natured shrug, "Ah, that doesn't mean something of note might not be happening out front... for one thing if someone has taken an interest in our arrival they might have an agent watching to see if we leave the inn."
Xanrym normally likes to room with Theldrin, but he prefers to sleep in the back room tonight, hoping to see what happens between the Dusklorn and Inheritors from the room (assuming that there's a window). Xanrym suggests setting a watch rotation, at least until after their fight. He's willing to take the first watch, pulling a chair to a spot where he can hide in his cloak and watch what's going on in the alley.
Syllen will let Khessa pick a room and he will stay in the other room for the night. Syllen plans to have Nav stay in the opposite room to help keep watch.
[[ OOC: Well, the only difference, as far as I've been told, is that one room faces the alley behind the inn while the other faces the front of the building. So, since Xanrym chose the first, there doesn't seem to be much difference between the remaining rooms... ]]
Khessa chooses one of the rooms facing the front and, after reviewing the numerous new arcane notes she'd taken in her spellbook during the day, summons Anator from his pocket dimension to stand guard during the night.
The blonde arcane warrior, partly for training, partly as an extra precaution, protects the room from any intrusions with a magical ritual: anyone who were to enter during the night would trigger a silent alarm bell in her head, which would wake her.
Finally, the tall adventuress, after last thoughts about the drow and how best to 'get them to cooperate' once this hunt is over and her own begins, falls asleep.
Avery will remove his armor to rest, repair any damage to the best of his abilities, then snooze until he hears the commotion down in the alley so he may observe the outcome: Perception 5

“Thank you for the information. A room would be greatly appreciated.”
(OOC: me - still busy; nothing to add here.)
Xanrym thanks Es Sarch, and realizing how tired he is, accepts the offer of rooms for the night.
Khessa pats Es Sarch on the shoulder enthusiastically: "Thank you! We accept the offer! Tomorrow we will be in great shape and we will start taking care of what interests you."
Avery also bows and acknowledges the room for the evening to rest.
When the conversation with Es Sarch is over, Coriana will head out to the markets for a scimitar.

"Perhaps it would be best if we stick together while getting our bearings here in this strange city?" Theldrin suggests. "We could all venture to the markets, even first thing in the morning after we rest?"
"I'm fine with that, although I'll need a little private time with the scimitar after I purchase it."

Avery will take the room facing the alley, so he may observe what transpires out there.
Theldrin will stay in the front room and will offer to sleep on the floor on his bedroll. He keeps an eye on what's transpiring out front for a while, summoning Dusk from his pocket dimension and sending him to the window.
Coriana stays in the front room, and tries to point out to Theldrin that the gang fight will be visible from the OTHER room, where Avery is.
