"We are certainly making some assumptions here," Theldrin frowns as he gazes out at the street through a crack in a dirty, shuttered window. He adds with a sigh, "Though I suspect they may indeed be correct."
If there are no strangers close enough to hear, Xanrym speaks softly, his voice coming from somewhere just behind Coriana as he puts a hand on her shoulder. "I'm here. Try to move him somewhere private before he comes to."
"This is Xanrym's play. I neither chased the drow or set fire to the drop box. Is he even here?"
Xanrym's voice again, in the room with you, but positioned a few feet behind Irennaste: "Yes, I'm here, but I'd prefer that he not 'see' me. If House Dusklorn is truly trying to have us killed, the less we reveal, the better. Let me know when he's recovered enough to talk. I wasn't trying to hurt him; just catch up to him to have a conversation. We should ask him whose names he was trying to give to The Guild. Khessa, is it true that you were able to burn the note? That was very quick thinking!"
Avery will look around the inn, anything that could be a potential threat. Perception: 21
Xanrym sees Avery watching outside and confirms: "Avery, you'll let us know if you see anyone watching this building? Or anyone headed this way? Good man! We don't want to get trapped here."
"We are certainly making some assumptions here," Theldrin frowns as he gazes out at the street through a crack in a dirty, shuttered window. He adds with a sigh, "Though I suspect they may indeed be correct."
Xanrym invisibly nods in agreement, both about the assumptions and that the assumptions are probably true. But they need to talk to Irennaste to determine both how things stand between The Company and House Dusklorn and whether they can somehow use Irennaste as an asset in the job that Es Sarch gave them.
"The drop box with no obvious means of retrieving the notes. You did do something to rule out it being a magical portal where the letters are in the Guild's hands immediately, right?"

"I did the best I could in those moments to prevent the assassins from receiving a message that had a very good chance of pinning us as targets" Khessa shrugs. "I have no idea how widespread magic is here in Pedestal. If the mailbox was ordinary, the letter is now ashes. If it was a magical portal where the letter was teleported elsewhere, I can only hope the burning oil was teleported as well and had time to burn the letter anyway. Otherwise, we'll still be no worse off than if we hadn't even tried."
"So the plan is to interrogate Mr. Sleeping Beauty" the blonde arcane warrior sighs. "We can try, but I doubt he'll tell us much, if we just ask him questions nicely... Look at what his matron has done to him. What do you think she'll do to him if he reveals something to us? I fear that to get him to talk, we'd have to torture him to the point where he's more afraid of us than of his matron—no easy feat even if we wanted to try."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"If I'm gonna learn to trust you to blow up mailboxes, you gotta learn to trust when I say I can get this mama's boy to talk without torture."Coriana assesses his condition and tries to revive him without magical help. [[Medicine: 9]]
Khessa smiles, pleased that Coriana thinks she can succeed: "Of course I trust you! Be my guest."
The blonde arcane warrior ties the drow up as a precaution, while the other brings him to his senses. She has no desire to have to chase him around The Riddle again, risking attracting attention.
Coriana tries to wake Irennaste but has a hard time doing it quickly. From the injuries he's endured and the blow he took from Coriana, it takes him a few hours to recorver to the point where he can talk. It's late afternoon before he really realizes what's going on and his eyes focus' on Coriana, "You! Wh-what are you doing with me? Where am I?" He looks around the townhouse confused and clearly scared.

(OOC: Interrupting here because I do not believe that The Company would spend a few hours just waiting for Irennaste to recover. So, we should probably figure out what the group decides to do before we skip ahead in time to when Irennaste would recover enough on his own to talk. That is, I think that we'd probably either heal him so that he could talk sooner or just leave him here while we go do the job like Khessaand Corianawere suggesting.)
When Coriana is unable to revive Irennaste, Xanrym's voice expresses concern. It sounds like he's now leaning close to the Drow. "He's not dead, is he? It's hard to tell with his dark skin, but these bruises look pretty bad, and I guess he was already injured before we started chasing him at The Guild's drop box. Maybe we should heal him as a gesture of good will?"
This is the layout Avery finds in the townhouse btw. Although obviously in a much bigger state of disrepair:
(OOC: Ah, I misunderstood @Aaggie's post: I thought that Avery was watching the street outside the townhouse. So, Avery searched the townhouse and found nothing dangerous lurking in the other rooms?)
Khessa sighs: "I don't feel much inclined to show 'goodwill' toward a drow who, after we helped him to avoid death, first tried to extort money from us, then to have us assassinated; but I understand that you truly believe you can get valuable information from him, so... okay, Syllen, go ahead."

That's right
Syllen nods to Xanrym.
“I can cast Goodberry and provide one of them to him. If we feed him one it should be just enough for him to wake up.”
Assuming this works for everyone, Syllen will cast Goodberry and feed Irennaste one.
