Ok fine. I won’t get the alchemist’s fire, and I’ll 10 flasks of oil (1 sp each), and 10 sheets of parchment (1 sp each), which adds to 1 gp for enough ingredients to make 10 Molotov cocktails.

Nah I’m not paying for lodging, I’mma just go to that quarry-looking place in the north-west of Red Larch, and I’m going to sit their meditating for 4 hours (instead of sleeping, since I am an elf) and I’m going to think about inventing the Molotov cocktail - tinkers’ tools intelligence check: 16 (15-1+2), and I’m also going to think about how I heard a voice in my head earlier today telling me that the bartender had something to tell me.

Shade goes to talk to the bartender before leaving. After a short talk, he learns that a dozen beautiful old books written in Dwarvish showed up in the cargo of a shady keelboat skipper in Womford. The bartender learned this from a shopkeeper who is currently in the taver.
Has Shade told Derizyn this yet? If so, Derizyn asks if the bartender knows where they are.

Each Molotov cocktail is an improvised ranged weapon that has a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet. On a hit, the Molotov cocktail deals 1d4 + Dexterity modifier fire damage plus 3 piercing damage as the glass shards cut the target.
Current Campaign(s): Dungeons, Darkness, Drow, and Demons, an Out of the Abyss Adventure, Dungeon Delvers, a Dungeon of the Mad Mage Adventure, Jungle of Evil, a Tomb of Annihilation Adventure
Oil (flask) Oil usually comes in a clay flask that holds 1 pint. As an action, you can throw it up to 20 feet, shattering it on impact. Make a ranged attack against a target creature or object, treating the oil as an improvised weapon. On a hit, the target is covered in oil. If the target takes any fire damage before the oil dries (after 1 minute), the target takes an additional 5 fire damage from the burning oil.

I would say that Shade Casually told Derizyn about it, not thinking much of it. Btw, I’m pretty sure judging from what Borivik said, the books are in Womford, another town 40 miles South-East of Red Larch.

OOC: Will we start to rack up exhaustion if we set off straight away? How long did it take to get here? What time is it? If it's late in the day or we're at risk of exhaustion I'm sure Bruin would be advocating for setting off the following day, otherwise he's happy to set off now.
(It took a few hours to get there. I suggest resting now then travelling later.)

Four things I hate in D&D: People who think the tarasque is the most powerful (an empyrean or kraken can beat it), players trying to seduce bad guys (it's funny though), when a monster roles a NAT 20 (everyone hates that), rolling a NAT 1 (everyone hates that)
Krissa weighs in. "Let's rest and leave at first light. It will give us time to prepare. I may prepare less healing, as we have a cleric and bard in our midsts. Though I can always purify the wound with flame. I will focus on spells to tame beasts, see magic, enhance skill, bind and entangle enemies, and grow thorns"

At a normal pace, it would be 2 days travel to get there, and another 2 days to get back.

But the map says that each hex is 4 miles, and Womford is 10 hexes away.

Huh. Okay. DM map says that one hex is ten miles and Womford is ten hexes away. Either way, 40 is still to far to go.
