What does everyone think? Distract and let Toadstool act as our scout? Also, can I just say that it's really funny that it ends up being the big orc that ends up being the best scout. Very ironic. =)
I think we're good, since Toadstool's ruse might have kept them from following us, and we should be far enough away that we can keep ahead of them if they charge. I don't think I tumbled down the hill very far. Probably aided the deception that my character's short and dark-skinned.

Is this place with a burrowable earth or solid rock? If I can burrow, then afterwards we can get in easy, because giant badger would leave big enough tunnel for yall

Burrow? Outside of the mountain/cave, yes. Inside of the mountain/cave, no.
Tunnel? It depends. Possessing a burrow speed and leaving usable tunnels as one moves are two separate things. In addition to a burrowing speed some creatures possess a special ability, tunneler, which allows the creature to leave a tunnel behind as it moves each round. The giant badger does not have this ability.
So could a giant badger dig a usable tunnel? Sure. But not during an encounter.
^^ If the other PCs end up opting to wait around, that's fine. I will likely post a summarization of the recon events and place it at a decision point (rather than take it round-by-round, for example). This will keep things moving in a way that doesn't have all the players waiting for multiple exchanges for a side-scene to play out.
So i rolled and wrote everything for recon. We can retcon anything that happened before, like learning phrases in goblin. 19 stealth should be enough to not be seen by anyone
Yaudara would probably try to get back out of sight, and then suggest that the rest of the party waits to see the results of the recon, or to be ready to rescue Toadstool if necessary.
I know the current IC scene is kind of backwards. That is, giving you a scene to not interact with.
If you would like, you guys can take a post or two to come up with a game plan. The party is currently out-of-sight, out-of-mind as it were.
Just getting caught up. Last couple of days been busy for me.
Agnes and Rinn are probably debating on the best way to start to run in case things go south, being the spell casters of the group
Rachael is Rinn's little spy drone. Unfortunately, she runs on cat treats.

I'm fine with that. Right now I'm just trying not to bring the goblin horde down on us.
Yup, agreed. And unfortunately, I don't have any of the nice retreat spells that wizards sometimes may have.

Thats why I did it shorty!
I mean Toads is just a hobbit in orcs body

Ok, thought so. Thanks.
Anyway - scouting outside as badger is viable
Looks like a plan is coalescing nicely.
Looks like Toadstool intends to use wildshape to get a closer look at the cave entrance to learn more about the inhabitants.
@Ashen_Age, @Bird94, @Samhain28164 ... What would you like your PCs to be doing while this reconnoiter takes place?
I don't mind one bit if you guys split the party, but one thing I would like to avoid is splitting the party if the other players have nothing to do.

Cool, cool. I'll get a summary post put together for info learned and leave Toadstool at a decision point.

Toads is fine and has some tea to spill! Looks like we have very fun future encounters.
Only 6 gobbos left. DM is teasing us. DO NOT FALL FOR IT!!!!!!!
