" [Yaudara will] move up to join Ichep, hold his attack and ..."
Just so we're talking about it before we get too far down any path of confusion/misunderstanding ... I wanted to remind folks how the Ready action works since this is the first time it has come up.
Ready, as an action, has two components ... long as you say what action you intend to do, and what will trigger that reaction ... then we're good. (it gets a little weirder when spells are readied ... because the spell is actually cast during the Ready action)
@Bird94, There was nothing wrong with your post either, I understood you to mean 'Ready an attack against the first foe that enters within reach.' I was just using this as an opportunity to refresh folks' memory on the slight difference between 5E and previous editions.
I believe I may have opened up Yaudara's action this current turn, since I think Faen might have killed C4 with his attack, and Faen would go first; Yaudara wouldn't have had to attack C4.
We'll see what the DM says and how the dust settles.
We'll see. Technically Yaudara doesn't know what's in the other room. He's only heard creepy noises and a language he doesn't understand. Not kidding, though; if I go before the dog, I'm going to try my best to shut the door. It may only buy us a couple rounds, but that's enough.
Far too many actions declared for Balen in this current round. With this round summary, I am going to trim down Balen's actions to what can be done in a single round.
@Bird94, The first roll succeeded, but don’t forget that the death dog is restrained.
Also, there has been a lot (like every post) of ‘if this is a hit’ or ‘if that is enough to kill them.
If I name the creature, the stats are not a secret, and I’ve been posting hp remaining each round.
I don’t care one bit if you guys look at the stats of the monsters you are fighting. There will come a time when you won’t know what you are up against … but for simple creatures… you guys are adventurers and know the ‘relative threat level’ of a wide variety of things.
I trust each of you to moderate your player vs character knowledge in a way that keeps the game interesting for both players and the DM.

Alright gang, the road trip is upon me! Heading out the door soon and I'll be incommunicado for the rest of the day.
It will likely be late evening [EST] Wednesday or perhaps Thursday morning before I can post again.
Travel safe. The forces of righteousness can wait.
Maybe we can befriend the doggo with the scary stats instead. It looks very tameable. Druid where u at? :D
There is the usual druid shit and then there is this :D It probably don't want my berries.
ON OUR NEXT TURN LET'S ALL PET THE DOG

Hehe. Or whoever's closest could just shut the door to the dog's room. 😁
DM be like - but, but I planned for this awesome dungeon crawl with difficult opponents.
Party - nope, door is shut, barricaded and we went for a drink
We'll see if death dogs can open doors. Or if the fish priest opens it, at least well have a round or so to get ready for the fight.
Nah we invited them all to lunch. Balen will order the dog a beer and will leave the fish outside.

How Yaudara say such a thing?!?

Fair enough, and I'll make another TH roll since I've got advantage.
