By this time, Smudge is feeling rather accustomed to strange beings popping out of nowhere and confident that he and his companions will handle them. The two groups are not yet near each other, so he shrugs, gives a quick prayer to Tymora, and loads his crossbow with a magical bolt as he moves 10' closer (original post was 20’ - I forgot each square was only 5’) along the path to the unholy beings. He fires at the spined devil, which seems to be closest to the group.
Darbakh frowns, strangely; he looks more reluctant to fight the devils than he did the bandits. Regardless, he hefts his maul and dashes 60 feet toward the bearded devil.
”Hey, devils!” he shouts toward all three of the surviving fiends, modulating his voice to sound annoying and grab their attention. “How does it feel to be losing the Blood War?”
The Bearded devil glowers at Darbakh as he tries to strike with his beard and glaive both dripping with infernal poison. Darbakh barely avoids the beard strike and more easily avoids the glaive strike. Apparently, the verbal afront shook the devil even if just slightly it was enough to throw off an successful attacks.
Ooc. So that we are not waiting for Lars to do anything. I can’t have him attack unless I give up my attack/etc. which 99.999% time I’m not doing. So let’s always consider him to do following. he is invisiable. On lookout. And ready to pour healing positions into ppl. But basically he is a lookout about 30 feet above me

Smudge. Your Dex modifier is +3. So if you rolled a 16 on die and +1 for guidance you would have a 20
if you rolled a 13 and then +3 Dex modifier for 16 and 1 for guidance then it’s 17
but no clue on what you actually rolled.

Thanks. Map works
Sorry for causing confusion. 16 is what I rolled, 3 was the modifier, and the 1 was the guidance.
No worries from my viewpoint. I was trying to be helpful(hopefully it was seen in that attempt (to be helpful))

Smudge attacks the spined devil with his crossbow with a +1 bolt for 5 dmg. The spined devil winces a bit.
Petnan attacks imp A for 11 damage killing it from the force of the blast.
The Spined devil flies 5ft off the ground and moves northeast and attacks Smudge.
A 16 and a 15 both misses against the armored Smudge.

Lars simply stays invisible and watches to provide telepathic warning to see if anything else try’s to attack us
he does fly to about 30 ‘ above petnan and looks 360
