I heard from the goblins that “the Spider” sent word that the dwarf was to be brought to him. But I don't know who or what the Spider is.
Gundren had a map showing the secret location of Wave Echo Cave, but the goblins took it when they captured him. I believe Klarg sent the map and Gundren to Grol at a place called Cragmaw Castle. I don't know where that might be but there must be someone in Phandalin who knows.
There was also a strange goblin with an elongated head was with the goblin band that waylaid us. It gave me a bad feeling, but the other goblins didn’t seem to know the creature. The goblin whispered “you’re not what Ruxithid wants” to me before leaving the ambush group."
“Well, it sounds like we should go ahead and make our way to Phandalin. That way, we can get Sildar to safety, and we can find wherever Cragmaw…wait. You know what? If we want to find the castle, we should go capture King Grol and torture…I mean get the answer out of him. Then we can take Sildar to Phandalin, and we can go save Gundren and possibly find this Iarno guy”

I'm a little hurt-y after that last fight and I'm not sure I can do much more magick-ing until I take a breather..." Looking around, Muck continues. "...and I kinda don't think this is the best place for that."

With the chain shirt now on, he moves around a bit, testing the fit.
(OOC: Is Bok'Shir ok to add chain shirt to his inventory @DM? Did anyone else take the other bits and pieces, or should I add those too?)
"Sounds like this Klarg guy is gonna be a little tougher to beat than these idiots" Penley kicks the head of a dead goblin "We should make sure that everyone is ready. I vote we rest, then continue" He says while applying pressure to a cut on his arm. Those near him will hear him mutter under his breath "Great! Now I have blood in my fur!"

"Hoenstly, I think you have killed all the ones likely to come here. The others are probably guarding Klarg and will only return here shortly before nightfall. You should be safe for an hour. When you do fight Klarg, I can try and help, but I might be a bit of a liability until I can have a chance to properly get my strength back. A decent meal and a proper night sleep should be a good start"
(Yes, Muck dealt with the sleeping ones, extending their sleep to infinity. I will get a post up tomorrow with a new map and an introduction to the boss fight seeing as it seems you are headed that way)
Sacks and crates of looted provisions are piled in the south end of this large cave. To the west, the floor slopes toward a narrow opening that descends into darkness. A larger opening leads north down a set of natural stone steps, and the roar of falling water echoes from beyond. In the middle of the cavern, the coals of a large fire smoulder. Around the fire, is a bugbear, a mangy wolf and two goblins (image above to show them) who haven't noticed you yet.
Hoping I managed to catch him before triggering the advantage that he'd have if we were fighting, but of course that's up to Swift. Figured the spell doesn't require the target to see or hear the caster. So the idea is to get him charmed before he even knows we're there. <fingers crossed>

Oof, unfortunately it resists. But as you say, doesn't require it to see you and so your verbal and somatic components would be missed (somatic definitely with noise from the waterfall, which is why they didn't hear combat earlier in the adjacent room) and it doesn't know you tried to charm it. So still not in combat.
(OOC: Would we have a surprise round and advantage to attacks if we do so before they spot us? I added the loot to Bok'Shir's character sheet just so we don't forget)
You get a surprise round. Only the first person's attacks get advantage as after that you won't count as unseen. Sildar will join you (I rolled hit dice for him in the short rest)
(OOC: Bok'Shir will rush in so if someone else wants to attack from the shadows first that would be best. Will post as if that happened)
Bok'Shir wastes no time when he sees what they are up against and the first shot is fired. A wicked grin crosses his face as he scurries into the room and around the first goblin. Just as he draws his sword, once again his eyes grow black and a dark energy spreads from them, this time into Klarg. As he swings the weapon toward the bugbear, green flame covers it.
If his strike hits, the flame bounces from Klarg to the mangy looking wolf.

And it immediately slorps its form away, becoming a still puddle of goo once more. After a short, bubbling sigh, it settles in for a short rest.

Seizing on the opportunity to make use of the fact that they are not yet fighting, Muck quietly casts Charm Person on the bugbear.

On the way to find Klarg, Bok'Shir protects himself with an armour of frost. He has his shield equipped ready, but his sword is still in his scabbard.
He seems very pleased with his scavenging, likely never having had the pick of loot before.

And with that, the sentient puddle of goo hurls a bolt of concentrated arcane force at Klarg, then moves to take cover behind a stalagmite.
