Zubeki carefully listens to Emporo's story about the torture, of the plans of Oboko, and all the connection to Ras Nsi. He chews on his goodberry and washes it down with water, then clears his throat and pulls out one of the vials of the pink swirling liquid. "Evil they might be, but don't you think these potions might unlock some clue to restoring these people? If we could get them to Wakanga, I bet he would have some insight on the magic of it. At least they are not in the hands of Oboko."
Now with some time to sit down, Zubeki unpacks the robes. Closing his eyes and concentrating on the fibers between his fingers, he tries to sense any magic entwined within it. (Arcana: 18)
Jolly had almost dozed off from the music from Fae-sulu.Before thoughts of home could blind him of the present, and as the hour closed with the newly rescued man being questioned, the firbolg began to dance the dance of his people, summoning through ritual the power of Detect Poison and Disease. "Worth try." He says curtly in agreement to Zubeki, knowing to say or do more might upset the casting, and force him to start back from the beginning.
And they could ill-afford to waste too much time...

Emporo Atazi "I do not think I did. I was pretty beat up and they tortured me a whole lot and afterward, they would give me something to drink but I never had the ritual done to me."
Zubeki's eyes shoot open as the magic item between his fingers reveals itself to him. "Ah, there we go. It looks like this is more than just a fine ornamental gown. A spellcaster attuned to this will no longer have to hold any fear about poisons, especially around the yuan-ti. If no one objects, I would like to don this for our continued adventure and will attune to its magical properties during our next rest."
Zubeki rises and brushes dirt from himself. "Vrak, it is all up to your discretion, but I say we have found a few great treasures. Let us smash the altar and carry what we all can manage back for Zee, there we can rest in Port while letting others know of this Yuan-ti threat. I feel a small army would be better suited to this temple that this small group is. Zee, I know sharing this information does remove the possibility of the rest of the treasure lost inside there being yours, but a group this large could carry back enough jade for your retirement. I for one have no urge to enter the temple again when we struggled with just two of these broodguard."
Zee frowns at Zubeki's idea. "I understand your reluctance to re-enter the pyramid but if we do head back to town and tell the Princes I'm not sure they would send anyone out here to begin with. They don't have an army you know. They have peacekeepers to uphold the laws in town. If you wanted someone to come to smash this place to the ground you would have to go to the Order of the Gauntlet or maybe the Flaming Fist. Either way, all treasure inside would be forfeit to them. They would keep everything for themselves as a 'fee' for riding Chult of these demons."
"Pequeno y Travesio has unfinished business with this Ras Nsi but today is not the day for finishing it!" Pequeno says. He continues "and Zee is right the Princes will only get involved if it directly involves them or impacts trade but there may be other allies we could recruit back in Port Nyanzaru."
Pequeno goes to Jolly and looking up at him says "Good Giant, I feel quite myself after that rest so if somebody could make better use of this spare Goodberry"holding up the second one that Jolly had given him "please pass it onto them."
Fae-Selu looks up from his strings, still playing but in more of a fingering of the strings manner than any particular song, stops his whistling and says, "This place is wrong. If we have to leave, I will not complain but one way or another this place must be levelled and returned to the jungle, with the help or someone else."
With that he continues his whistling and picks up the song on his strings again.
The more Jolly overheard, the harder it became to concentrate on the ritual dance. Eventually, he slows to a stop, and began actively looking from one person to the next with furrowed brows and an air of trepidation about him. It fades as he took notice of Pequeno's approach, only to be replaced with a raised brow.
Jolly actually holds his head up high and seems to preen for a second before looking back down sharply upon realizing that there was more to be said. "Hmm... no." He grins, and against what most might consider better judgement, kneels down to try and Pequeno on the head. "As said, you keep for emergency. Think of it as, hmm... healing potion. Like one you took back there." He jabs a thumb in the pyramid's direction. "Weaker tho', but better than nothing."
With that, he'll look to Fae-Selu, and ultimately nod in agreement. He'll sit in silence after to listen to Zee. And should her points not coincide with the concerns in his mind, Jolly will take one quick swig of his waterskin before rising back to his feet. "This one will say this, if only so that it is minded. But after, this one will abide by whatever you all decide without another word.... Strength does not come easily. And the more time we wait, the stronger -- more rooted these skin walkers become here. We cannot trust in this flaming fist. They are invaders, and thus are not likely to think twice about turning what they find here against true Chultans... The Order from what we have already heard are also stretched thin, and otherwise occupied... Find other allies then in Port? Maybe. More merca... uhmm... mercernaries?"
He pauses to mouth the word, and then abruptly nods to himself. "That is it. Mercenaries. Take even more time to gather and convince even with Prince's help." He gulps and looks to the pyramid. "Worst yet. If we are marked... if these skin walkers are this active, then we may have all the more trouble completing are other goals with them actively seeking us out when we least expect."
At that, Jolly will look to the rest, divided in his hope for both outcomes.

Pequeno neatly dodges out of the way of Jolly's looming arm and, understanding that Jolly would not be aware of how patronising his act was, simply says "please don't try that again!"
Vrak looks at the group. "I know we can do this. We need to purge this evil from the temple before it spreads and consumes the area. Being this close to the Port it needs to be dealt with. We are strong enough to fight these beasts. I know Jolly is with me. Look at the items we have gotten already, and there is more to be had. These weapons will make us stronger yet. I cannot walk away from here. It will be weeks before we can return if we do at all. They will head out and kidnap more villagers and not stop unless we wipe them out now. When we return they will be much stronger than they are now. We just need to be careful, we know the dangers now. But we must deal with this threat, this evil. Do not abandon me in this. It needs to be done."
After Vrak's inspiring speech, Fae-Selu stands up, nods his head in agreement and lowers his arm, as he does this, the vines loosen and wrap his arm in a seemingly random pattern once again.
Zee looks around the group. " whether you stay or go is up to you. I never said I'd leave. I would go in and wipe this place clean by myself with Ubtao " she makes the small hand gesture and kisses her fingers to the sky " on my side I would not fail. If you want to grab what you can of the altar and leave I have no qualms in saying you fulfilled your contract to me. It is your choice and I will honor it."
Naivara listens to everyone and looks up at Vrak hearing his speech, knowing his words to be true. Not wanting anyone to fall victim to the enemies within the temple, she slowly gets to her feet and looks around, before she looks at Vrak. "I agree, we should go inside and clear it out. And smash that mirror possibly, we don't need anything communicating with whatever and we do not need another incident, though it is your call if we shall do that."
"Never let it be said that Pequeno y Travesio would let his friends go into a perilous area without him!"Pequno says. He continues "Today is obviously the day when Pequeno v Travesio begins the process of dealing with his unfinished business with this Ras Nsi and his brood."He turns to Vrak and says "Lead the way my good friend and Pequeno y Travesio will be right behind you!"
When the group had rested, drank water and prepared themselves, Vrak led them back into the temple. Passing the rooms they had already cleared they were checked to make sure nothing had moved in since they were last inside. When they reached the mirror room Vrak, leaving the sheet in place, takes a javelin and smashes the mirror. He cares not what it may be worth or what other powers it may have. Its connection to the serpent headed man was enough for Vrak to destroy it..
Moving into the corridor the party makes its way east and then prepares to turn south...
You make your way back into the pyramid and smash the mirror before continuing onward. The first passageway to the north ends about 70' into a dead end. As you get to the north/south intersection you can hear chanting coming from the south. You make your way down the short hallway and peek around the corner. The room opens up into a huge temple. There are two rugs, 10' wide by 90' long that look very expensive going along the floor with a path made out of that green stone going in between them.
About fifty feet into the temple you see four almost naked men, they are wearing loincloths with daggers in their hands, kneeling on the ground praying. A priest, wearing what looks to be the same type of robe that Zubeki has in his pack, is facing a large fifteen-foot statue of a snake with two huge ruby eyes and chanting in some language you do not understand.
You see multiple exits around the room and the one almost directly across from you is fifteen feet higher than the temple floor. It looks to be a balcony as well as the one straight across from it.
After the room is being described to him, Zubeki speaks in a hushed tone. “I have an idea if anyone wants to entertain it.” He points to the balcony. “Say we can get up to the north side balcony, we could put archers up there. Then have someone cause a distraction here on the ground floor. As they close in, we could surprise them with arrows and bolts. Just an idea so we're not all caught pinched on one side of the room."
"That sounds good. I say we concentrate our attack on the priest first since he might be a spell caster. We can then take out the guys with the daggers. When you are in position open fire on the priest, I'll throw a javelin at him and whatever ranged attacks we have. Then the hand to hand begins here on the floor. Maybe Fae can even put them to sleep, before we get too close. Either way we should be able to surprise them before they can counter-attack. If Zubeki, Peq and Fae head up, Jolly, Naivara and I will stay down here with Zee."
