Gijigume strikes as the giant appears.
OOC: Full attacks Attack 1: hit AC 19, dam 11, +GFB 4, (plus 1 sneak). Attack 2: hit AC 32, dam 14. Use Action Surge, if needed, for an extra attack: Attack 3: hit AC 25, dam 16.
As we are still in combat we are still using the same initiative order. All these attacks are readied actions from a previous turn. Readied actions are a reaction not an action (was that confusing?) so people with multiple attacks only get one hit. Khalin still hasn't given me his readied action.
The giant reappears at the beginning of Otak's turn in initiative

With his speedy reflexes, Gijigume strikes at the giant again.
OOC: Let's hope he rolls better this time. Again, Action Surge, if it's still up, which I expect it to be. Attack 1: hit AC 14, dam 11, +GFB 5, (plus 5 sneak). Attack 2: hit AC 19, dam 13. Use Action Surge, if needed, for an extra attack: Attack 3: hit AC 16, dam 15.
Khalin Gool will sit down, well back of the spot the giant will reappear at. "Just before this large chunk of offal comes back I'll cast a cube of daggers where it's gonna show up, lasts for a minute. When we're done with 'm I want their hearts, good for makin' potions ye ken."
He begins muttering sotto voce any and every curse and imprecation he can think of regarding giants.
Just before the Giant is due to reappear, Khalin Gool, from a safe distance, will cast 'Cloud of Daggers on that spot.

There is a forge here that is generating much heat but there is no wood, or coal or coke burning in it. It is also friggin huge, you're not getting it out without 20 men and a set of draft animals.

Thar is somewhat bemused. If there is no wood, or coal or coke burning in it how is it generating the heat. Is it magical? Arcana: 28

Extremely so, it has some sort of control panel for all the things a forge is supposed to do. Les the DM has no idea how a forge really works.
"We only really need to move it 10 feet right?" Fah'lin asks, unsure of the chain gates limitations. "Do we even actually have to move it at all?"
You've come across one of the useful things having two chain gates will get you. You put the one in Harrenhal where you need the massively heavy and unwieldy forge to go, then put the other chain around the forge and someone passes through while touching it and presto.
Otak thinks a moment,
"Yes, he will reappear..... There."
Otak's finger wavers for a moment before settling, pointing to where the giant will be.
He readies eldritch blast then drops the banishment.
Blast 1 18 for 5
Blast 2 15 for 5
Those who haven't acted yet had better do a crap load of damage or you will be standing there next to a very angry giant.

OOC: Nice rolls of 1. I've assumed the Guidance has finished, but if it hasn't DM can add that.
Aeliarin fires a flaming bolt at the giant.

If it is still alive when Gijigume's turn comes around it is most certainly dead after he finishes with it.
So, are you leaving or do you want to continue searching... and probably healing. Lots and lots of healing.
"Lets grab anything that looks valuable here, look out for rare metal ingots, and then quickly head back to base," suggests Gijigume.

"I bet the dwarves we left at the forge would love it," says Gijigume, "and it may be the best place for us to improve our defences."
OOC: Unless my memory is playing up once more. Okay that forge makes magic items, but a big magic powered forge would help with metal shaping.
Khalin Gool will search the fire giants for any 'interesting trinkets', then he will cut the hearts out of two of them.
"Mayhaps 'twill be enough fer a few drams o' strength as needed, yes?" he mumbles. He pulls a small battered and charred tome from his belt pouch.
"Lstrknos t'klitka nomenostim Lardos, Lardos, kiskil o't no mosti netros!"
He then puts the tome away.

Yes, they have a magical forge but this would allow them to make high quality mundane items much cheaper and quicker.

"Yes," Fah'lin agrees with Gijigume. "The Rockseeker brothers are certainly more accomplished smiths than I."
