"If it's unlocked, I can open it with a phrase." Thromkor gives another little shrug. "We can stand to either side," he says. "In case something's waiting to leap out," he exclaims.
Grin would sigh as he pulls his rapier and dagger from his belt. "so not much for stealth I guess, in the future let me know if you have a door that needs checked, I am fairly skilled with a lock pick" The shifter would say with a smile.
The door flies open in response to Thromkor's command and as the party peers in they can see that eight simple bunks line the walls of this room, each with a small trunk at the foot of the bed. A small table and several wooden chairs stand in the middle of the room near an iron stove. Five of the bunks are bare, but three are comfortably made up with sheets, pillows, and blankets, although they are not made as if somebody had recently got up in a hurry.
Grin would slowly move around the room looking for food and anything that might be of importance. His long leather coat billowing behind him. Investigation 21 Perception 12
So as Grin made his way around the room, he would spot a small iron coffer under one of the bunks. Getting down on all fours the shifter would extend his clawed arm and retrieve it from its location. After giving it a quick look to make sure there are no traps on the box, he would open it up and see what is inside.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Grin would smile as he realizes the chest is locked, his tongue moving to one of his longer canine teeth before setting the box on the ground and pulling out an ornate set of thieves tools. after lifting up a few different tools, he will pick the toolbar thinks should work best and begin trying to pick the lock.
"Looks like this belonged to someone with some money to spare..." Grin would say with a smile as he carfully puts his tools away and inspects the contents of the box more thouroghly. (what is in the scroll tubes and leather pouch? also how many coins?)
OOC: so do you guys just distribute the loot on the spot of have one person pick it up and then distribute it later?
OOC: I am trying to remember. I think coins we distribute on the spot and treasure is distributed if usable (magic items or weapon) or held by whoever has space if it needs to be sold.
Once they are done investigating the room and sure there is nothing else to find/see, Gotrek will lead the group outside the room and to the next door to the north of the room.
After investigating the items within, unless there is anything that jumps out at him as very important, Gin would try to place the entire iron coffer into his backpack and make his way out to the hallway.
Gotrek turns his head and looks back at the group. "I can't hear anything. Anyone else wanna try or should I open the door?"
"If it's unlocked, I can open it with a phrase." Thromkor gives another little shrug. "We can stand to either side," he says. "In case something's waiting to leap out," he exclaims.
Gotrek stands back. "Let's try that."
Thromkor instructs everyone to flank the door and then he mutters a few words in Draconic, casting thaumaturgy to open the door.

Tibold makes a note of Grin's statement on lockpicking as he enters the room slowly.
And that's all I have to say about that.
Thromkor stands in the doorway and keeps a watch on the hallway.
Here is an opportunity for Grin to prove his statement in Post #1132 - its locked!

Yup he unlocks it. Inside he can see a pile of coins, three scroll tubes, cloth of gold priestly vestments, and a leather pouch.

Its probably a bit big for that but he could certainly carry it on one shoulder.
