Ember flits at shoulder height as they move back to the outside. "A short rest might not be bad, though I won't get all my magic back until I take a long rest."
He spins in a wide circle before continuing, "A long rest before we open the puzzle door might be wise. I bet that special crystal is going to be the toughest challenge."
So sounds like we are a good with a short rest, lets finish tower four, then take a long rest once we have the full key, assuming no outside factors of course!
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(( Nico rolled 1 hit die, gaining HP back to full. He'll also use Song of Rest, so everyone gains an additional 4 HP, so long as you spent at least one hit die. ))
EDIT: Since it still wasn't showing, I'll try again... everyone gets an extra 2 HP.
Nico made a face as he watched the grubs crawl over Razzec. Shaking his head, he asked, "I don't suppose anyone has a way to plug those holes? I can close a couple with magical trinkets, but the first would have faded away by the time I'd finished creating the second."
Ember nods as he works his hand into his bag and withdraws two torches. With a few quietly spoken words, the torches flicker to life and burn brightly.
He will toss both to the foot of the door. Ember concentrates and invokes Control Flames - first to make the torches flames grow until they cover the entire area of the door and again to form what appear to be the shape of a pin or spikes which spear inward into the holes in the door.
Even a rotted door takes time to burn. And there might be smoke. Ember can use his control of flames and his druidcraft to keep the fire contained and the smoke wafting back into the fire instead of filling the corridor.
Once the flame has a few minutes to work on the wood, Ember will take a step back; spread his hands with thumbs touching and call forth Burning Hands to seal the deal.
Razzec stands ready to activate his Fire Breath on the door should any more grubs pop out. "Everyone might want to stand back so I don't have to worry about friendly Fire, in case more fire is needed."
The door burns brightly and with a generous amount of heat. You hear sizzling noises and pops. After a while the door collapses on itself and beyond you see several grubs writhing on the floor. dying to the flames.
The room past the door is about 30 feet deep and wide with a stone pedestal in the middle. Atop the pedestal is a gemstone about the size of your head. Directly opposite is another door.

"Plug the holes? Why not just let me burn it to cinders? Rot grubs are foul creatures."
"I agree, let them burn." Razzec says while nearly out of breath from all the frantic swat of the grubs that were on him mere seconds ago.
Nico blinked, then smiled. "Well, I like that a bit more!" He then took a step back, giving Ember plenty of room to get between him and the door.
