Once again, Rynna's magic rewrites the reality of the world and Creak finds a last moment of respite from the shadows of death and is instead just wrapped up by the door. Creak, you are still grappled, but you may take your full turn as you'd like. 

Creak is visibly excited at the fact that it was all just a weird dream! However, that excitement quickly turns to fear as he quickly ducks to avoid Adric’s swing.

Gralwynn searches the zombies for anything interesting or of value.

Investigation 10

(OoC: So, I posted this earlier, but I don't see it in the log, so I'll try again.)

(OoC: Ok, internet on phone was weird for a minx I'll blame the last 5 hours on airplane mode.)

Gralwynn backs up a bit (about 20 feet away from the door), and charges the door going for a claw attack

Attack: 24          damage: 3 (slash)

This proqs pounce (OoC: can I knock a door prone? Guess it counts as forced entry, or knocking the door down.)

If it is successfully knocked prone, she takes the bonus bite attack

Attack: 20 damage: 4 (peirce)

(Post 538 had the info, no, they had nothing.)

Face twisting into a grimace of horror as the door attacks her companion, Rynna aimes a fire bolt at the creature.

 Attack: 10 Damage: 5

 The bolt only just clips the 'door' but, well, at least she didn't miss this time.

Balmaris will rush forward and try to assist Creak in his attempt to escape the grapple

Creak, holding on to Balmaris, will attempt to both Disengage and break free from the Mimic’s grapple! Acrobatics: Unable to parse dice roll.... 

Lets try again, cause that’s not parsing: 23

Adric rushes to Creak's side, swinging at the door-creature, connecting solidly, lopping off one of the small tendrils that had been trying to find purchase on the bird. Gralwynn as a panther leaps forward,  but can't manage to find room to hit the beast. Rynna finally finds her target, shooting for something pretty close to be the literal side of a barn, causing a tiny scorch mark to appear on the writhing surface. Creak, aided by Balmaris's firm grip, slips out of the creature's grasp leaving space for another combatant to step up. Finlan steps up to swing at the door and stabs out violently.

Finlan Attack on Creature: 11 for 6 piercing damage.

The creature gnashes out with its teeth at Adric, clearly incensed by the damage dealt to it.

Attack on Adric: 23 for 7 piercing damage plus 6 acid damage.

Creak... sneak attacks the door? Yeah sure, why not!

Creak roars, “Mimic this ya dumb bird- I’m goning to turn you into a pin cushion!” He releases a flurry of stabs into the door, Attack: 23 Damage: 5 piercing + 2 sneak attack! He then backs away very quickly, but bravely, with disengage.

"Slime dripping hellspawn! " Rynna mutters, determined to hit the thing perfectly this time.

fire bolt Attack: 7 Damage: 8

"Gods damn it!"

Gralwynn will also try again, backing up to give herself a running start, she rushes forward again, uttering a low growl.

Attack: 17          damage: 4 (slash)

This (hopefully) proqs pounce.

"You really know that a place is evil when even the door is trying to kill you."

And Adric will swing again.

Balmaris will step in, take a stab at the door with his sickle

Followed by a right jab..

[Unarmed Strike: 19 Damage: Damage: 5]

Creak stabs and moves, darting in and out with aplomb, poking a small hole in the creature that is very clearly not a door at this point. As the creature becomes more and more apparent as some kind of freaky mouth with tentacles, Gralwynn pounces at it, landing a solid hit! However, where she's used to creatures falling over, this one doesn't even budge. You get a sinking suspicion that no level of powerful leap would be able to knock this thing onto its back. Just as Gralwynn strikes, Rynna and Adric launch their offensives, both missing unfortunately! Balmaris steps up and manages a wicked sickle slash and punch to the creature, making it howl with pain!

Finlan Attack on Creature: 24 for 9 piercing damage.

The creature gnashes out with its teeth at Balmaris, not enthused with the sickle attack!

Attack on Balmaris: 12 for 8 piercing damage plus 5 acid damage.

Adric will take another swing at the door.

Adric's mighty swing slices cleanly through the creature and it flops to the ground in a puddle of teeth and tentacles. 

Combat Over!

With the door-thing down, Rynna advances to give it a poke.  The flesh wobbles unpleasantly, even the part that merges into wood.  You sure didn't find that kind of thing back home, she thought.

"We getting a move on or do we need to catch our breath.  That was a little close for Creak."

Creak nods intensely, is there anything behind the door-monster?
