Vydar raises an eyebrow at Zarbyn's showy explanation of why he only carries two daggers. Vydar himself only carries one, though he'd have something more substantial if he'd had been able to afford it before coming on this journey. "As you've already seen, I'm adept at ranged attack spells too, though I'm perfectly capable of holding my own in close combat as well." He says. He's had plenty of close combat experience while living on the streets...though weather or not he's actually adept at it is another story.
He agrees on scouting out the area, that's the most sensible thing to do anyways. Once people start moving in, he follows quietly behind Paevira and debates on whether or not to use Natalie's hat. He'd been able to figure out what exactly it can do...but it still feels wrong to use it right now. Perhaps farther in and not when they may get into combat, he'll consider using it.
Iólinder cocked an eyebrow at Zarbyn bringing up his weapons and magic. Was that some sort of roundabout brag? Let alone how ill-advised it was to blurt out what you were capable off, it just seemed a bit odd to bring up out of the blue.
He did agree with the notion of a plan. A plan was always good. Even if no plan survives contact with the enemy, it was always better to have a plan. Better yet to plan for everything, impossible as that would sound.
'I am adapt with weapons and magic both near and far.' Iólinder replied. If one were to make a plan, it was best to know every resource at hand. 'I can heal in a pinch but it is better to crush your enemies and end the battle than to try patching up wounds during combat. Focus on one thing.'
He gave an affirmative nod to Paevira, Zarbyn and Vydar as they went ahead to scout. Though he questioned the reason why half their group needed to scout: surely if swiftness and stealth were desired, would it not make more sense to just send in one person? Iólinder doubted the others would listen to him. They were a group of individuals, not a tightly knit combat unit. Not yet anyway.
He declined to follow. While he recognised the usefulness of scouts, sneaking was the coward's way. Besides, his heavy scale mail armour jingled softly with every move. It would be detrimental for him to try the stealthy approach. Iólinder took up position near the entrance: out of view but with line of sight on those that went on ahead.
In the rubble on the left has been a cave in. Paevira looks carefully, and see two huge feet sticking out. It is likely a dead giant, that was crushed by a cave in. This passage is in accessible. There may be another passage at the far north west of the cavern.
As Vydar enters, he hears a shuffling sound about 30-40 feet north. He strains to see ahead in the dust and dark. Something or someone is hiding.
Lev sets his jaw as three of his party members move forward into the cave. He doesn't like letting them out of his sight but he doesn't object either. Instead he moves to the mouth of the cave and presses his back to the wall to where he's standing directly in the entrance looking in. Hopefully his dark garments help keep him hidden from view.
Stealth: 24 (nat twenty lol)
Perception: 11
He places himself to where he can see the three who entered, waiting for a signal from them so he can pass it on to the two outside.
Everyone roll initiative: Lev is at the cave mouth, and knows that Vydar, Zarbyn, and Paevira are inside. They are quite stealthy and he does not see them immediately. Everyone was very quiet, Paevira had the lowest stealth roll. Lev is so quiet, the three inside don't hear him, focusing their attention within. No traps are perceived.
Vydar thinks he hears someone or something about 30feet north of his location. Paevira has found a cave in on the west wall and a dead hill giants feet stick out (like wizard of oz).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zarbyn's Initiative: 7

Zarbyn will move so that he is just ahead of Paevira and maybe 15 feet South of the goblin nearest them and cast Eldritch Blast at him.
Attack: 23 Damage: 6 force damage.
Then he will move over to the left to be within melee distance of the giant feet, and possibly gain some cover. Once there he will prod/tickle a foot to see if there is an involuntary reflex of someone playing dead, or no response of someone who is actually deceased.
"I'm not sure if these goblins are here to slow us down or warn the others that we've arrived but either way we take them out as quickly as we can before any more may show up."

Zarbyn blasts goblin 1 with his magic. It howls in pain. He runs up to Zarbyn and attacks with his scimitar, missing. He then disengages (bonus action), and backs away. When he pokes at the giant's feet, it does not move. The flesh is soft. It died recently.
Goblin 2 Fires an arrow at Paevira: He also misses.
Goble 3 does not see Vydar or Lev. He creeps up very sneakily and hides behind a closer rock, bow in hand. (stealth 24), Vydar knows he's there.
Goblin 4 takes a shot at Zarbyn: He also misses, the cover of the wall helping Zarbyn. He then backs away toward the back of the cavern and yells in goblin. (Probably for help)
Paevira seeing goblin number one get zapped will move up and attack him with the whip and then the rapier, keen on getting the rhythm down and letting this goblin aid her in her task
whip: attck 11 an if dmg 7
rapier: attck 10 an 9 dmg
( the character sheet dice roll hates me, lol)
in Goblin, Paevira will say “ you lil buggers are goin to pay a hefty price..”
