Name: Ridley Thenn’o
Ability Scores: Ability scores: 141312141217
Race/Subrace: Variant Human (War Caster)
Class/Subclass: Cleric (Death Domain)
Alignment: Neutral
Background: Street Urchin
Backstory: Raised in the shadowed alleys of a bustling city, Ridley grew up witnessing the harsh realities of life and death. Orphaned early, he was taken in by a clandestine cult that worshipped the God of Many Names. The Silent Vigil taught that death is a sacred transition, an inevitable part of the natural order that must not be tampered with. Those who seek to cheat death—through necromancy, undeath, or forbidden magics—were considered an affront to this divine balance.
Trained as a hunter of the undead and those who sought to pervert the cycle of life and death, Ridley’s work furthered the reputation of the Vigil in certain circles for their skill and ruthlessness in tracking down such abominations. Professor Victor Shadowgrave had been one such impressed figure, and had proven a reliable source for rumors and information.
Fears: Becoming what they hunt—a revenant, undead, or necromancer. Ridley also harbors a deep fear of being cast out or punished by his deity for failing in their sacred duty to maintain the balance between life and death.
Horror Trinket: A small, silver coin used in rituals to guide souls to the afterlife. The coin is old and has a slight, persistent warmth to it, as if it holds the lingering heat of many hands that have grasped it in fear.
Class/Subclass: Paladin (Oathbreaker), Warlock (The undying, may change a bit later.)
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Background: Haunted one
Backstory: Galix swore an oath of vengeance against those that murdered his twin brother. In his quest for vengeance his bloodlust, left unsated, grew and developed into something more sinister, his perception of reality began to twist and warp as he began to hate and loath everything. His oath left him blind to reality and he butchered all who stood in his way. As such, he was slowly corrupted and his soul dissintergrated. His once holy magic turned to eldritch powers And his noble quest for vengence against those that wrong him was forgotten as he sought to sate his hunger for blood. Haunted by the memories of the past he journeyed towards Ravenloft, here he found a professor going my the name of Victor Shadowgrave who told him he could resurrect his dead brother’s soul in a vessel. All Galix had to do was find a mysterious relic…
Fears: Has flashbacks of his brother and is irrationally scared of him.
Horror Trinket: Image of Galix and his twin brother (Chose this because it suited my character)
Backstory: Fergs left the underdark many years ago to explore the sun kissed world above, after growing bored with life underground. He is a lover of folklore, stories, and tales that are told to children. He seeks out different races to learn the stories and songs they teach their children, as he knows these traditions leave a lasting legacy.
His favorite type of music are lullabies, and most of the music he plays fall into this genre.
He met Professor Victor Shadowgrave a few years back, when he was singing a batch of goblin children's songs at the Cup of Tears tavern. His recent wanderings have led him back to the same area, so he figured he would drop in on the Professor and see if he's heard any tales of adventure the gnome might be interested in.
Fears: Silence / quiet, (he sings or hums to himself when it's too quiet, but never whistles as he hates whistling)
Horror Trinket: Small, worn book of children's nursery rhymes (written in Halfling)

Curse of Strahd has been on my List for a long time...
Name: Gunther Korroden Ability Scores:111716131114 Race/Subrace: Dwarf, Mark of Warding Class/Subclass: Cleric 1, War Domain / Paladin 2, to be Oath of Conquest Alignment: Neutral Good Background: Acolyte
Backstory: Gunther was maintaining Equipment in the Mithral Mines of his home city. He was mainly responsible for the repair of the Blasting Pipes, heavy contraptions fueled by black powder used to crack though stones. He was at some point consulted by the church of Moradin in relations to a project requiring his expertise. He was absorbed into the Fold of the church rather quickly. During this Time he tinkered around with smaller versions of the Blasting Pipes for personal use. At the same time he took up a role of Temple Guard, for which his achievments in his hobby became usefull. After a while his experimentations imbued him with an interest to test his Blasting Pipes in a real scenario. He left the church, on good terms, and heard that Professor Shadowgrave seeks out Adventurers for a Task. He belives that with his eagernes and skills he will be perfect for the job
Fears: Inability to protect: To loose someone important when it could have been prevented. Helplessnes: That his faith proves ineffective in his goals. Horror Trinket: A small locked box that quietly hums a lovely melody at night but those who hear it forget it in the morning Character Sheet Link:https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/130654140/r7sOgs
Some Question about Character Creation: The character concept relies on a firearm. I like the idea of the Gun-Priest. I don't really like to pick Variant Human to get the proficiency trough a feat. Is there some way to maybe trade some proficiencies to in favour of firearm proficiency? I would pick the Gunner Feat at 4th paladin level anyways. And if Firearms are Off-Limits anyways i will simply switch a few things around, mainly lower Dex and Wis and go in the direction of a more classic melee Paladin.
Space marine???? (Joking) [I promise I think it’s a cool character just it reminded me of wizard-with-a-gun and space marines, please do not divine smite me]
Backstory: Being one of cursed species he was shunned away, he resorted to crime with an ambition to find or create an invention that would help him and his species fly. He met Dr. Victor, when he sneaked into their residence searching for gold coins. The professor showed compassion and allowed the kenku to remain. A few years would pass and the professor gave the kenku a job.
Fears: Loosing his few friends, Not completing his goals
Horror Trinket: a bandana with a strange ink like stain.

You…you fear lightning and thunder…
I use lightning and thunder…….
a lot….
While firearms are a thing outside of Barovia, the likelihood of finding black powder or ammunition while there is extremely low.
