Koya manages to grab onto the dead crew's body, hoisting it onto his shoulder.
Koya, you cannot see this, but anyone else that is looking over the side of the ship can see massive jaws rising up through the water, agape waiting to swallow you whole.
Koya, for all the marbles, I'm gonna need you to make one, final DC 15 Strength check. 🤞
Kuhkay will leap on top of the creature, using both hands to drive the spear into the creatures flesh: Attack: 11 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
For his bonus action, the harengon will use his rabbit hop ability to leap back onto the boat: "As a bonus action, you can jump a number of feet equal to five times your proficiency bonus, without provoking opportunity attacks."

As much as I'd love to see that, in order to jump onto the creature, you'd need to jump into it's mouth.
You can still throw it though. But I don't know how much of an effect it will have.
Kuhkay, go ahead and add a Ring of Swimming to your inventory, you found that hidden in a pouch in the armor.. And you can remove the Merrowic Leather from your inventory.
Bert wearily pulls himself upright and crawls his way to the ship rail, casting cure wounds on himself, pulls a wine skin from his belt, What'd I miss?
The Captain shouts at you: "ONLY THE FACT THAT KOYA'S ABOUT TO GET SWALLOWED BY HEAVEN KNOWS WHAT!" He then turns back over the railing to Koya. "CLIMB KOYA CLIMB YE BRAVE BASTARD!"
Just as the behemoth of a monster surfaces of the water, gaping it's jaws to swallow Koya whole, Koya is able to lunge up out of the water... but not enough.
Koya, do you drop the crew and save yourself, or throw the crewmate up to the others, and test the fates.
Kaelen sees the shadow surge beneath Koya and knows there’s no time left. Without a second thought, he releases his hold on the boat and leaps over the side, plunging toward the creature as it bursts from the water. His movements are fluid, almost instinctual—an arrow already nocked in his bow as he aims down the creature’s gaping maw and looses it.
Acrobatics: 23, Arrow to hit: 25, damage 10 + 3 sneak attack (assuming advantage from height or it being distracted by Koya?)
Then, in an instant, his body becomes a wisp of shadowy mist. The cold touch of death washes over him as he teleports back to the safety of the deck, reappearing just in time to avoid the creature’s thrashing jaws. His expression remains cold and focused, the Raven Queen’s blessing having saved him from the deadly plunge.

Oh, and Kuhkay, can you role a d4 for me for when you were investigating the Merrow corpse. I'm going to assume you took the Leather armor as well.
-Archie

Kuhkay would not have taken the armor. As a monk, he has no use for it.

Squall is helping pull the rope to get him up faster.
Zero in Lost Mine of Phandelver
Squall in Stormwreck Isle
If Bert can get to the rope he will help pull
With what I assume is everyone aiding Koya up the rope, I'll give Koya advantage on that DC15 strength check.

Koya will use the adrenaline of the moment to spend their second wind and regain 11 hp. Then they'll pray to Bahamut and start hauling up the rope.
Strength: 23
I do both party and individual character commissions. PM me for info.

Koya's stubborn, they'll glance at the rope around their torso to make sure it's still tied and then toss the crewmate up.

I'm assuming someone'd grab the man? Squall maybe?

Squall grabs the man that was thrown and pulls him to the middle of the boat.

With the distraction Kaelen provided, firing an arrow into the gaping maw, the giant mouth hesitates, not quite yet clamping down on Koya yet.
The rope you used to lower yourself down is still flying wildly in the air. Give me a DC12 dex check, to grab onto the rope.
