Passoveloce glances up at this, not sure where the conversation is heading. "Not that I am aware of."he responds cautiously before continuing "What were the circumstances of your deaths?"

"Pfft! Lucky~"Lucas says in response to Gyaan, before then lazily looking again to Passoveloce. "Now for you, I can't seem too surprise. Your Yondalla sure loves her sweet baby boys and girls."He said around some snickering towards the end. "But, uhh, let's see... So, like, reason why I'm not sure 'bout the first time was 'cause never lost consciousness at the time. At least, I don't remember doing so. I /do/, however, very much remember being effectively disintegrated and sort of reassembled over the span of too ******* long to wanna think too hard about. So, that was fun." He admitted frankly at first, before his tone turned bitter and sarcastic.
"But the second time was quick at least. Space clown shot me in the chest, and my teammate at the time -- real nice, uh, Hadozee fella named Caeser of all things, but, uhh, he ain't know they explode upon death. Not into confetti mind'ja -- oh no no no~ These bastards are walking balloons filled with facking. Acid. That's right. Acid. Which getting sprayed with that little surprise sorta didn't hurt too bad in itself at the time? But, by then I was already passing out from pla-er, bloodloss. Ahem... yea..."Lucas sighed and shifted stance so that he more or less had his upperhalf drapped over the balcony railing. "Thankfully we had this, uhh... You ever heard of an autognome before? They're like, uhh... Construct gnomes but with actual sentience and all that. Well, anyhow, uhh, Mr. Mono-poly is a cleric of Waukeen and managed to revivify me in time. Though I wound up spending the next month and a half scrounging for coin to pay'em back the diamond for that shit."
"But, uhh.. reason I ask aside from just killing time was, uhm.. I guess in a round about way it was to late ya'll know I am taking all this serious. Even when it doesn't sound like it. I just... I used to have this friend that uhh..."Lucas trails off from there, seeming lost in thought and struck by melancholy from what little can be gleaned from body language.

"My lady, it is enough to see you to safety," Seraph said, his voice calm but resolute. "But if I should ever find myself near Candlekeep, I will certainly pay you a visit."
He offered a slight bow, his cloak brushing the ground as torchlight flickered across the weathered stone walls. With a final glance, Seraph turned and strode into the shadowed maw of the mausoleum. His footsteps echoed in the silence, fading into the labyrinth of ancient carvings and solemn stillness.
The conversation eventually peters out and the party waits in silence until the others get back. When they do Passoveloce indicates his desire to examine the small corridor in the south wall before moving deeper into the complex.
Passoveloce goes to the entrance in the southern wall. Approximately 15 feet in it opens out in to a larger room. Five feet inside the rooms (i.e. 20 feet from where Passsoveloce) is standing he can make out the glint of water!
Passoveloce looks carefully around the passage, at the walls, ceiling and floor to make sure it is safe to advance, after which he carefully advances to wards where the passage opens up into the the room whereupon he examines the room from the safety of the passage.

Passoveloce can see that the room is 35 x 35 feet. In the centre of the room is a 25 x 25 feet pool of water - the surface of the water is just (about an inch or two) below the floor of the room. Two sets of rusty pipes run across the room from east to west and water sprays from nozzles in the pipes. The surface of the pool occasionally ripples. In the east wall Passoveloce can see two corridors - one in the north east corner and one in the south east corner. In the south wall - southwest corner - he can see a door and in the west wall - south west corner - he can see another corridor.
After examining the chamber, Passoveloce returns to the previous chamber and describes what he saw. "This looks like it leads deeper into the complex, and I strongly suspect that there is a guardian of some description living in that pool. I'm thinking that perhaps it is more prudent to investigate beyond the eye on the door up the stairs first. Lucas, do you want to lead the way?" Passoveloce says.

"Pfft! Hah! Hell naaww~ To the naw, naw, naw, hell to the naawww~"Is Lucas immediate reply in a singsongy way, before then cracking up laughing. "I don't mind take a peek like I suggested earlier -- I mean, might as well since I'm up here already. But full on stepping through first? Hah! I ain't that eager to pay Kelemvor a visit again." With that, the wizard pushed himself back fully to his feet and tried to open the door via whatever he'd approximate to be a handle; opening it -just- enough to peek through and gauge whether no immediate danger awaited, before committing to opening it up fully and stepping aside for someone else to take point. If none seemed present however, he'd poke at the eye next, figuring it to be some kind of weird locking mechanism.

Lucas opens the door. Unlike the other chambers this one is lit by lanterns hanging from the walls. The corridor is 5 feet wide and a steep set off stairs descend down to a room that is 15 feet east to west and 10 feet north south. Four bells hang from the ceiling and he can see what appears to be another set of stairs - possibly heading upwards - at the far side of the room.
Lucas relays what he sees before stepping aside and adding, "If ain't know any better, I suspect either we got ourselves a trap or warded passageway this way. So, maybe it is not so bad idea to contend with this guardian ya mentioned, eh, Slim? Probably best you or some else has a gander and see for themselves, 'cause I could just as well be being paranoid about it."
Seraph pondered the information, his brow furrowed. "Both paths lead to unknowns and danger," he said, his voice steady. "But both must be explored if we are to find the kidnapped victims and those responsible."
He glanced at the two directions, the door marked with a painted eye, the other an open passage. After a moment's thought, he continued, "I say we start with the door bearing the eye. It feels deliberate—a warning or a clue. It may lead us closer to the truth."
With that, he stepped forward to lead the way through the door and through the room. He pays the bells no mind.
As Seraph walks past the bells and starts to climb the stairs on the other side of the room he thinks he can hear voices ahead. Could Seraph pls roll a Stealth roll!
While not exactly eager to follow, Lucas bided his time to at least enter the tunnel as second to last, if nothing else, retrieving his lantern as he did so. But, short of someone further ahead whispering some warning about being quiet, he makes no particular efforts to silence his footsteps or quiet his movements, except to avoid any tripwires or the like potentially gleamed once in the passageway itself.

What does the party wish to do?

Vidar just follows Seraph and the lady, several steps behind the duo in silence, studying the mausoleum looking for any threats.
When Seraph deems she is safe and it is time to turn around, Vidar will follow with out a word unless spoken too until the return to the group.
"Thank you Vidar, for your aid in seeing the lady to safety." Seraph says after they leave the woman's presence and are returning to the others.
"As you wish Passoveloce. I will follow your lead." he says when he learns of his companions plans.

He offers no disagreement to the groups decision and follows up the rear of the group keeping an eye out for anything that may try and follow.
