Leif uses his ‘bonus actions’ to continue gaze of two minds with Orjon & concentrates on one with shadows every so often using minor illusion or prestidigitation to lure Darling Rax into following along. As your following the path. Your prodding does not trip any traps but as you follow the red path suddenly the floor gives way. With lightning reflexes you are able to grab onto the ledge and hoist yourself to safety. Looking into the pit you see spikes some 20 feet below and based on the foul odor you know death was all that awaited..
"Therkis, Are you ok?", asks Valagan as he moves toward the pit to check on him. Valagan offers his rope to Therkis (or whoever is taking the lead). Suggesting that the lead tie in should more of the floor give way. "We can hold it." (Ooc: regretting not preparing that fly spell now)
DM, some questions... What is the light in here like? How far can we see (I have darkvision to 120')? The corridor is 20' high. How wide is it and how far does it go? Can we see an end from where we are? Can we see what the path leads to? Are there any visible doors or branching corridors? Is it straight or curved, bends etc? Are there any objects around, boxes, chairs, statues, etc?
The pit that nearly swallowed Therkis... How much of the floor did the pit envelop? Is there a way around?

Valagan scopes the room with his eyes. Looking at the immediate floor, walls and ceiling adjacent to him carefully. Looking for holes or cracks, uneven patches of floor or on the fresco walls. Listening and feeling for any air sounds (is it still or is there a breeze? If so, from where is it coming from). Perception11
The hall is long and straight. 10 feet wide 20 feet high and now you are at this point 120 feet down you see a set of double doors. The trap is 1 square so 5x5 and the red path snakes down the tunnel to the double doors.

There is no breeze, the sound of wind whistling across the opening to the tunnel is the only real sound. On the left side of the tunnel is a painting of a library and a figure reading tombs. The ride side just past the trap is a painting of a prison cell door. Behind the bars you can see people in chains being whipped. The painting seems worn and cracked. ahead of you the red path leads on towards a set of doors 120' down at the end of the hall
That was quite.. surprising. Is anybody incapable or does anyone simply not want to risk jumping over the pit. I can carry anyone who doesn't want to across. (basically grapple someone and using the grappler feat run across the wall with them. I can also go back and forth to do this if multiple people need help across)

That was quite.. surprising. Is anybody incapable or does anyone simply not want to risk jumping over the pit. I can carry anyone who doesn't want to across. (basically grapple someone and using the grappler feat run across the wall with them. I can also go back and forth to do this if multiple people need help across)
Valagan is the weakest member of the party and jumping may not be to his success. "Agreed, I think we should make sure of any traps before we go jumping around." he replies to Orjon.
With the assistance of his party, Therkis extracts himself from the pit. “That was a close one”, he states with a nervous grin. “I need to re-think this”. Therkis studies the corridor, then stiffens as an idea comes into his head. He takes his Haversack off of his back and reaches in to pull out his rope. He ties one end around his waist real tight, and offers the other end to Orjon. “Orjon, would you follow me and keep the slack out of the rope? If I run into another pit, this will help keep me out of danger”. Therkis puts his Haversack back on, will sidestep the pit and choose to go off of the “path” and instead follow one of the walls. Using the same technique of hitting the floor ahead of him with his quarter staff, he proceeds STEALTHILY and cautiously.
