Flying mouse? thinks Chipper. He shakes his head in slight disbelief. 

When she hisses at Razz's suggestion he looks for a dirty object of some sort and picks up. "No water." he assures her while using a quick prestidigitation, "But like that. Nice and tidy." he adds, thinking to himself, and no licking yourself required.

"Thank..... you?" She then spots Striker. "Snake!" She pounces on Striker and starts slapping him.

Kessintra chuckles as she watches Stella 'play' with Striker. "Ah, Striker is an immortal too in a way, now that I think about it..." she muses, before turning back to the task at hand, "Stella, do you happen to know how to get to the basement? Where 'owner' does her work?"

"Basement?! We have a basement?! Are there rats? Can I chase them?"

"Little Kitty, you can chase as many rats as you want.  But we need to get to the basement first."  Razz turns to the rest of the group, "I guess we'll need to continue searching the house.  I wonder if she'd know anything about daddy dearest as well."

If Garrick see’s any visible damage to Striker, he’ll use mending to restore him.

Ada watches Stella pounce on Striker and start slapping him. She heaves a deep sigh. A surge of anger bubbles up momentarily, and she wishes they hadn't killed Fiona quite so quickly. What sort of mother would lock up her own child and leave her in squalor like this? And the poor girl's mind was clearly broken. It was a sad and disturbing sight to witness.

"No, no," she says to Stella. "Be gentle with Striker. Play nicely."

Persuasion - 16

There's no visible damage. Stella glares at Ada. She defiantly- yet gently- keeps slapping Striker.

((They just said she's crazy and that the devil stuff is down there.))

"Do you remember anything about Daddy? Or...the sleeping man 'owner' keeps in her room?"

Garrick will also keep an eye out on how the brothers and sister interact with each other. (10 insight)

“I guess we keep looking for the basement now”

I thought the brothers stayed outside (though I don't think it was specified). If they are here, they try to stay away from her and are on edge.

"Owner has a sleeping man? So many surprises. Anyways, daddy was such a nice man. I wish he was still here....."

"Do you know what happened to your daddy?" Ada asks, pursing her lips a bit as Stella continues to slap Striker. At least she isn't hitting him as hard now though.

Kess' expression grows more determined. Stella will need a lot of care if she's ever to recover from her mother's abuse; care they will be too busy to offer. Her 'nice' father would be perfect for the task, not to mention serving as the head of the town.

"We might be able to bring your daddy back if we can find a diamond--a really shiny rock. Have you ever seen owner with something like that?'

"He contracted a disease. Died a few days later. Though, Little Kitty didn't go to his funeral. Little Kitty doesn't think he had a funeral. Unfortunately, Little Kitty hasn't seen any shiny rocks in here."

"Disease...The spell would work then. Let's find the basement." Kessintra will head back downstairs.

"I think there's still a few more rooms up here we've not checked yet, right?" Razz asks Kess as she started heading towards the stairs.  "Also, I think we need to know what boy Stella got mad at.  I'm just not sure how to get her to talk about it."

Turning towards Stella, he asks, "Can you describe the boy you got mad at and why?  That might help us understand why owner got so mad.  Do you know how long ago owner got mad at you for it?"

"Oh, it was a couple months ago. Owner's always wanted to be a ruler. She tried to set Little Kitty up with that Baron's son to do it. But Little Kitty hated him, and he hated Little Kitty."

"Well, there are the two unlocked rooms." Kess seems reluctant to check them, but it does seem best not to skip anything. She heads into one of them and looks around.
