That wasn't even the final result! Thomas (my son) started going full ham on the smaller TV after that, which inspired me to try breaking apart the metal frame. By the time we were done, nothing was bigger than an average forearm in length. Twas a glorious battle.
We have places here that have rooms that are full of random shit that you pay money for 30 minutes, they give you a bat and some protective glasses. No questions asked.

We used to have one here in Fort Worth, TX, called The Rage Room like 10 years ago, but the owner of it was murdered by her ex-boyfriend, in the Rage Room. So, it shut down and no similar business has popped up since. They caught and arrested the guy. I'm not sure what happened afterwards. It was one catastrophe after another around here at the time, so the news quickly moved on to other things.
I love that Merkas and Sera are having chicken shenanigans while Hastos and Sharn are finally getting to know each other. The contrast of having a sitcom and a drama divided by like 5 feet is hilarious to me.
I can't figure out why, but the avatar won't load. But here's something I put together in PhotoPea that I imagined in my head it looks like... something a little raw and a little feral to indicate that it was made in a make-shift forge in a desert wilderness using cobbled together materials not exactly designed to make what it made. It's not pretty, but it functions well.
Trying to fix that avatar took longer than making the image, and I was already tired when I got online to post. I'll put something in the IC in the morning. I can finally sleep in too, so I'll be much more rested for a change.
I am greatly amused that the party has collectively decided that this large sized dinosaur creature who can explode 5 times a day is... a chicken.
At least we know why it crossed the road. It was tied to a cart. That's why. 😂
I finally got the avatar to load. I wish I was better at fantasy art. I wanted to make it less photo-realistic, and tried to "DnD" it up a bit, but the closest I can get is uncanny. Like, it doesn't look real, but it doesn't look illustrated either. Ages ago, back when it was a paying career, I was a desktop publisher and graphic designer, who often had to create custom art for college texts. And photo-realism was the goal. So, that's the skill I developed. I can draw things by hand, sometimes. But my neuropathy doesn't always grant me the steady nerves needed for that kind of work, and my art style is more "comic book" than DnD fantasy. Still, now you have a visual representation of the equipment. Complete with charge usage and bonus damage features (I hope). The homebrew builder is glitchy and sometimes data is lost. I had to input the the information 6 times yesterday and twice this morning to get it to stick. So... fingers crossed. So, cheapjoke123 please add it to your inventory, and check it out to see if it works correctly. If it should grant you your usual Unarmed Strike bonus (+1) and an additional 1d4-1 Bite attack as a bonus action. You can substitute the bite attack for Infestation (as a touch spell) 1x per day.
I hope Merkas is gonna be ok. I'd hate to see you roll a death saving throw before the first cave encounter. Good thing Sera has some more spell slots.
Inside the cave, arcana, religion, survival, or nature checks could find alchemical ingredients that aid in healing minor wounds. Without brewing them into a potion, they won't heal as effectively, but 1--4 HP here or there could mean the difference between life and death if Sera can't keep up with healing.
The party can expect (from Kasi's warnings during the trip) that kobolds rely on traps and skirmish tactics when they protect their home. So, early threats may be skill checks more than anything. As you encounter kobolds, they'll most likely be hiding behind cover, attack, then retreat. The goal is to weaken you until you're easy to overrun with numbers. Stealth is your best option. Your second best option is defense and speed. Kasi will disapprove if you fight with lethal intent, and her loyalty score will suffer for it. Knocking them unconscious an binding your opponents is an acceptable alternative to her, so called shots could be helpful. Kobolds don't like outsiders in general, but Letni Inhelk has a tenuous relationship (about as close to an allyship as kobolds get with outsiders) with the Hachakee, and the face tattoo on Sharn marks him as an honorary member if you need to talk your way out of something.
Thanks to Kasi's information, each of your characters has full access to the kobold stat blocks which are:
Kobold Warrior at least one in every pack of standard kobolds will be one of these.
Kobold Scale Sorcerer you'll encounter these closer to the hub and are much rarer. Their primary duty is to protect the queen.
Letni Inhelk is a medium-sized clan, but Kasi doesn't know the specifics of their numbers. They're not well-like amongst other kobold clans, because they didn't side with Takhisis during the war, choosing to stay neutral in the conflict and ride it out. It doesn't mean they side with the "surface dwellers" either. They just stick to themselves and focus on not being killed off in the war.
Thanks! 😊 I love your story telling ability. Sera's reaction to the Strider freaking out cracked me up so much, I've already shared it with my spouse and several of my friends. 😂
