Also Zerel is using his reaction to cast Hellish Rebuke (from his Magic Initiate feat). The Winter Wolf needs to make a DC 13 Dexterity save or take 2d10 fire damage, half on a successful save.
Scimitar (with advantage off that crit! Targeting the goblin rider if the wolf is dead and he can use his movement to get in melee!): Attack: 15 Damage: 8
With his remaining bonus action, Osmund will use one charge of second wind, regaining his poise and 12 hp! He drops into a well-balanced crouch, blades pointed towards the foe.
Drogomar thanks his lucky stars. His head was tilted forward as the White Wolf let loose it's chilling breath - letting his oversized mushroom hat take the brunt of the cold blast. Still, a goodly blast slipped thru and chilled Drogo near to the bone... and he HATES being cold!
With an outstretched hand and a loud word, Drogomar sends 3 darts of energy at the wolf. Magic Missile
Cobalt hissed upon feeling the frigid sensation of the ice breath in his form. Luckly, he was accustomed to winter's howling wind and his body could resist.
Looking at the Fallen Amory, Cobalt dashed towards his fallem comrade, returning to his humanoid form. He took out one of his berries, carefully putting it into her mouth and helping her swallow. "Don't fall now, friend." he said, before summoning his staff back on his hand, summoning an ice knife and throwing it at the beast.
Attack: 11 Damage: 2 piercing damage and DC 12 DEX or take 9 cold dmg
Immediately after, the sting of both of Osmund's blades connect with the beast, coating the snow further in blood.
Cobalt'sIce Knife narrowly misses its target, instead flying past the the beast and into the snow. Amory, meanwhile, feels a burst of energy return to her body as her mind reawakens from its near death experience.
BOOM! Drogomar's Magic Missile connects, and chunks of hair from the beast's pelt fly into the air. The Winter Wolf isn't finished yet, however.
The Winter Wolfdisengages, limping perhaps some 30 feet away from the five of you. The goblin mounted on its back simultaneously knocks another arrow in its shortbow and fires it at Osmund.
Attack: 15 Damage: 7
Turn Order (any in bold can post):
Amory, Zerel, Cobalt, Osmund II Drogomar > Goblins (2), Winter Wolf
.Osmund, nicked by the arrow, snorts and drops his blades to the ground, unslinging a bow and dropping to one knee. With lethal intent, he pulls an arrow back and calmly breathes in, sighting on the wounded wolf. With a soft mutter under his breath, he releases!
Longbow: 14 Damage: 5
With a burst of energy, he draws a second arrow (Action Surge!) and fires again, targeting the wolf (if its still alive) or the goblin rider (if the wolf goes down). (If he is targeting the the rider, would it be possible to specify nonlethal? If so, I would like to do so - might make have useful information to learn from!)
Amory opens her eyes and tastes the traces of the magical berry. "Thank you, Cobalt," she says weakly.
Still shivering, she rises to her feet and casts a laughing curse on the winter wolf. "You need to cool it," she says to it in Common. She has to force the words out, but the pun is an essential test of her spell's effectiveness.
OOC:
Action: Cast Tasha's Hideous Laughter on the Winter Wolf (alternatively, targeting either of the goblins)--> DC 14 Wis save or else become prone and incapacitated Movement: Rise from prone
With a cackle, the Winter Wolf rolls over on its side, incapacitated as it succumbs to the effects of Amory'sspell.
BOOM! Ice covers the goblin's body, and it tumbles off of the beast and into the red snow. While it's been downed by non-lethal means, the goblin is by no means stable.
And with that, you have proven victorious! An eery silence returns to the Void as the sounds of battle fade away into nothingness...
Cobalt takes a deep breath, a bit sad to see the winter wolf dead. He averts his gaze, looking at Amory as he produced 9 more berries from his pouch, "Here, do you need more healing, miss Amory?"
Amory falls into the snow, half-frozen and bleeding, coloring the nearby snow pinkish-red.
OOC:
DC 13 Dex save against Cold Breath: 6
Death saving throw: 17 (1 success)
Zerel's Dexterity save: 13
