Hey there! If anyone recognizes me, I posted a thread about the start of my open-world game set in Exandria at the start of this year! The game is still just getting started, though I must admit, as a first-time DM, running a game with 10 players is beginning to grind me down! I also feel a small twinge of disappointment at the lack of premade characters I made being chosen. The players and their characters active right now are amazing, and some of their stories already allowed me to tie in a few of the unclaimed characters as NPCs in the narrative. Yet and still, there are a few premade adventuring parties that I have operating outside of the narrative right now that I made plans for. I'm currently running two separate parties in tandem, so I guess this is also a call to other new or experienced Dungeon Masters who want to help collaborate with me by expanding upon or continuing a few of the plot points I have planned! Without spoiling the surprises, I am looking for:
5 players who would like to try some premade characters set in Wildemount to play out the Frozen Sick storyline.
5 players who would like to try out an anti-hero group of mercenaries, starting a jailbreak scenario within the Capital of the Iron Authority in Riftenmist, Tal'Dorei. (Inspired by the Prisoner 13 adventure.)
At least one other DM that I can bounce ideas with and help continue the future and ongoing stories in case IRL stuff slows me down!
It's a shot in the dark, but I gotta admit I think I bit off more than I can chew, and I guess I wanted to expand upon some of the stories I already began creating! I hope this game is all about creating your own thing, but I really like some of the characters I made, and want them to be brought to life too! Kind of like a casting call more than an invite, but humor me!
Frozen Sick Premade Characters (Starting at Level 6):
Aasimar Vengeance Paladin from Baxxozan
Tiefling Creation Bard from Darktow
Tabaxi Drunken Master Monk/Scout Rogue from Brokenbank
Satyr Armorer Artificer from Feywild, stranded in Eiselcross
Tortle Runechild Sorcerer from Tussoa
Something is killing people in Palebank Village, and if the characters don’t stop it, they might be next. Increased levels to lower the difficulty and speed up the playthrough.
If any of these characters interest you, let me know!
A Dhampir (Formerly Goliath) Monk (Long Death) from the Cliffkeep Mountains
A Katari Barbarian/Warlock from Marquet with a Fiendish Patron and a score to settle
A Ruidusborn (Emerald) Dragonborn Wizard formerly from Draconia
A Changeling Alchemist Artificer who works as a smuggler for the Clasp
These individuals were captured, trafficked, and forced to work tirelessly within the oppressive Hobgoblin city of Tz'Arrm. One of the valued prisoners, an Eladrin Elf, sets up a secret meeting to plan for a revolt against these oppressors and needs all the help she can get. Deep within the jungle, a dangerous and powerful entity lies in wait, which may spell another Calamity. An important figure in the Empire is reportedly missing, rumored to be kidnapped. And still, the question remains, how could this possibly get any worse?
Let me know if this short adventure or if any of the characters interest you!
I would potentially be interested! Not sure I'd want to jump into active DMing, but I do have DMing experience if you ever just want someone to be a sounding board for ideas.
As far as characters, I think the paladin, bard, either artificer, or genie warlock would be interesting to hear more about. Are these campaigns using 2014 or 2024 rules? And would you be open to players making small adjustments to the builds of these characters while maintaining the same vibe and backstory (nothing so big as race or class or even subclass, but things like feats, spells known, maybe one or two skill proficiencies, or how spells/class features are described narratively)? I wouldn't want to disrupt party balance or completely min-max the build, just wondering if we'd have the opportunity to give the pre-made sheets a few small customizations or if you were very attached to how they are now ;)
Disclaimer, I'm not immensely familiar with Exandria (I've watched Calamity, Downfall, LoVM, and about half of C3, but don't have any of the books or anything), but I'm always happy to learn about a new world!
Thanks for the reply! The character Feats, spells, personality and Background are all yours to customize! We're using 2024 rules mostly, but some classes require some homebrew to be integrated properly.(Artificer and Blood Hunter)
This is a sandbox game where the world can be explored as you play, so don't stress over having knowledge of Critical Role stuff! The main stories of the CR campaign shouldn't interfere with your stories too much, but hey! It's all about fun over here!
I feel a lot of excitement for these pre-made teams because originally I tested them each in individual one-shots. I didn't want to make them just NPC'S in my game, because they feel like fun characters to explore more in a proper game! So feel free to pick any character, and I can send a small summary of who they were originally in my head. Other than that, you can definitely make changes to them until you feel ready to play them!
Sounds good! I can be pretty flexible with which character I play, so I guess maybe just let me know if you have others reach out and it looks like one campaign is taking off more than the other, and then I can fill into the party as any of the characters I mentioned in my last post? Or if you want me to go ahead and pick a specific character so we can kill some time while waiting by developing them a bit further, I think probably the Earth Ashari Warlock from Prisoners and the Satyr Artificer from Frozen Sick would be my top choices for each campaign, just based on the limited information I have right now.
I’m corvaxl1 on Discord as well if you’d like to add me there for further discussion, or I’m fairly active on here with my two current PbP campaigns if it’s easier to keep all your recruiting work on one platform!
Seems interesting I’d love to join if there is still room available I have some experience being a DM so o can take over if needed. Also interested in the Satyr Artificer
Hi! If you were still serious about taking over I've been looking for someone while I get to a good place. The spring semester is starting and the campaign is on a hiatus. Willing to run a one-shot with you as the Satyr Artificer or some other character! Message me for details and I'll get to you as soon as possible!

Is this still open?
